I had the absolute privilege of being Alison’s last ever student before her well-earned retirement, and I can honestly say I could not have asked for a better instructor. Despite the enormous pressure of it being her final test day after a long and successful career, Alison made sure I felt nothing but confident, capable, and calm before my test. Her reassurance, expertise, and unwavering belief in my ability made all the difference. Alison goes far beyond simply preparing you to pass a driving test – she genuinely cares about your welfare and safety as a driver. From day one, she was focused on teaching me how to be a real driver, not just someone who could tick boxes on an exam sheet. Her lessons are thorough, engaging, and always practical – including incredibly useful manoeuvres like the three-point turn. She provides endless amounts of handout sheets covering every scenario you might encounter on the road – from complex manoeuvres to different types of roads and weather conditions – each laid out in a clear, step-by-step way that’s easy to follow and incredibly helpful for revision. Even after passing your test, Alison offers lessons on motorway and country lanes to further build confidence on the road. Alison isn’t just professional and knowledgeable – she’s warm, friendly, and absolutely hilarious. Her sense of humour turns every lesson into an enjoyable experience, and I always looked forward to getting in the car with her. She has this wonderful ability to turn nerves into laughter, and mistakes into learning opportunities. I’m honoured to have been her final student, and I will be forever grateful for her guidance, patience, and kindness. I truly couldn’t have passed without her, and I will always carry what she taught me on the road ahead. If you ever have the chance to be taught by someone even half as amazing as Alison, consider yourself lucky. Thank you, Alison – for everything!

Alison was the best driving instructor i could ask for. She not only taught me how to drive, but she taught me how to be a safe, confident and above all good driver. Not only this, but she went above and beyond to help me with stuff even when i wasn’t formally in a lesson with her. On my test day she really helped me calm my nerves and assured me that i am ready, leading me to pass first time.
I would highly recommend Alison to anyone who is looking for a great, assuring driving instructor. Thank you so much Alison, i’m really going to miss our weekly lessons.

Alison teaches you to drive, not just to pass your test and has genuine passion about helping young people drive safely. She’s been very supportive and kind and has been very thorough with her teaching which is why I feel that I can drive calmly and confidently now. She’s a lovely woman and I’m going to miss not having lessons with her anymore :)

After having started her driving experience with a different instructor, our daughter’s confidence and desire to learn were at an all time low. However finding Alison turned that around and with her patience, encouragement and support, our daughter passed on her first attempt and now we can’t stop her! From the very beginning we could see how dedicated Alison was - outlining her commitment to the process, providing all the learning resources, arranging the test and finishing with a motorway lesson. We would highly recommend Alison as an excellent instructor.

Alison is a fantastic instructor. She is able to adapt her teaching to your level of confidence and your learning style. After some negative experiences with other driving instructors, it was a breath of fresh air to come across an instructor with a clear plan of how to help me achieve my goal of passing my test. Alison is patient, calm, supportive and kind and always emphasises a ‘safety first’ approach. She will provide you with the tools and resources to feel confident driving on various roads and in different conditions. Thanks to Alison’s great teaching I was able to pass my test first time. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great instructor!

Having heard that Alison was a very good driving instructor I rang and put my son on her waiting list. He’s had a series of lessons with her, enjoyed every one and has come on in leaps and bounds. Unfortunately, due to his school sports commitments his schedule meant he wasn’t able to continue with her but I am confident he couldn’t have had a better start. I would recommend Alison highly.

I absolutely loved Alison being my driving instructor. She was a very good teacher and had a lot of knowledge when it came to driving. I have learnt so much from her and even though I'm no longer having lessons I'm still going to persevere with driving and carry on learning until I can drive.

The most enjoyable part of learning with Allison would probably have to be the complimentary sweet she provided each lesson. Joking aside, I always felt at ease during our lessons and that I was consistently making progress. Even though I had been apprehensive about driving prior to starting, learning with Allison allowed me to pass first time. An excellent driving instructor!

I was extremely anxious at the beginning of my driving lessons with Alison. After a few weeks, Alison really boosted my confidence and made me feel at ease, so much so that I managed to pass first time and end up really enjoying driving. I highly recommend her as your driving instructor.

After a car accident I lost all confidence and hated driving. Alison was very reassuring and answered all my questions, never pressurised me into doing routes I was uneasy with and understood what I really needed to get out of these lessons. She always gave me good constructive feedback and after 8 lessons I was on the motorway! Alison has given me the confidence to get back on the road and enjoy driving again.

I decided to book lessons with Alison after a 10 year break from driving. I was very nervous about driving again.
Alison was patient, caring and thorough. She allowed me to take the lessons at my own pace but pushed me just enough so that I made progress and gained confidence.
Alison is an excellent instructor and I would highly recommend her.

Alison did not directly teach me to drive but I was lucky enough to be able to have a few conversations with her on the phone where she was able to teach me some techniques which helped to calm me during my driving test as I was struggling with my nerves. I now feel a lot more positive about driving and most importantly, calmer. She also helped me with my roundabout fears and gave me some tips on how to cope. Extremely friendly and calming so a great instructor.

I had the absolute privilege of being Alison’s last ever student before her well-earned retirement, and I can honestly say I could not have asked for a better instructor. Despite the enormous pressure of it being her final test day after a long and successful career, Alison made sure I felt nothing but confident, capable, and calm before my test. Her reassurance, expertise, and unwavering belief in my ability made all the difference. Alison was the best driving instructor i could ask for. She not only taught me how to drive, but she taught me how to be a safe, confident and above all good driver. Not only this, but she went above and beyond to help me with stuff even when i wasn’t formally in a lesson with her. On my test day she really helped me calm my nerves and assured me that i am ready, leading me to pass first time.

Alison teaches you to drive, not just to pass your test and has genuine passion about helping young people drive safely. She’s been very supportive and kind and has been very thorough with her teaching which is why I feel that I can drive calmly and confidently now.
