We started off learning steering in a car park to help with my confidence but in no time I was driving around quiet roads and my nerves disappeared. I am so so happy with my experience learning with A-Class Driving School! I learn't with Glen Initially, Such a laid back but straight talking driving instructor. Told me when I needed to do things however was very calm about everything. He was always on time or just before, I had a great book which was very professional looking that kept me up to date with my progress and also kept a track of my lessons that have been paid for etc. I failed my 1st driving test due to not checking my blind spot a final time before pulling away but with only 3 minors. When I booked up my second test I did not realize that Glen was away on holiday. I phoned the office up, asking if they could help me with a different driving instructor to accommodate me. The office was great, Phoned me back to let me know etc. However Glen was faster and sorted me out with an instructor called Alan. Alan was absolutely amazing too! Went over what I felt i needed to go over to help me with my test. He complimented me on how well I drive and that considering his car was a petrol and I had been driving a diesel I didn't stall and picked it up very well. I passed that time round with 4 minors. Dreadful driving school! My daughter's first lesson was in July last year and all seemed to be well. Unfortunately her instructor moved in January and at that point she told she wasn't far off her test. Fast forward 6 months later and despite having regular 90 mins and 2 hour lessons and driving her own car she still is not ready for her test according to the new instructor Jon. A Class say the average tuition time is 30-40 hours. My daughter is at 70 hours ! We've since moved her to an independent school and after just one lesson with them they have said she is more than ready for her test so have no idea why it has been dragged out for so long. Just feel I've been ripped off all this time. I'm sure they have some good instructors and maybe we just got unlucky with the change of instructors but based on our experience, I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone. Read Less

My experience with A-Class has been excellent. I've just passed my driving test first time! I decided to take my driving lessons after a bike accident and I was really scared of driving after that. I explained my situation when I called A-Class and they allocated me the most gentle and understanding instructor I could have ever hoped for. Luz not only prepared me for the test but she also made me recover my confidence. She always arrived on time and offered me the flexibility I needed to fit the lessons around my working schedule. Mick was a brilliant instructor, his knowledge was brilliant and he always made sure the car was safe. I passed on my first time thanks to him.
