Honestly can’t recommend Mark enough as a driving instructor! From day one, his patience was incredible. I was such a nervous driver, but he stayed calm, supportive, and never once made me feel under pressure.
Mark explains everything so clearly and takes the time to make sure you fully understand, which really helped build my confidence. What made the biggest difference for me was how comfortable he made every lesson feel — it felt more like learning with a mate (and sometimes even a bit like therapy!) than just a driving lesson.
Thanks to Mark, I went from being really anxious behind the wheel to passing my test! I’m so grateful for all his support and encouragement.

I’d recommend Alert School Of Motoring mainly because Mark is a straight forward guy, despite having just 3 quarters of year to pass before my theory ran out, I passed the day before it did run out.

I’d recommend Alert School Of Motoring mainly because Mark is a straight forward guy, despite having just 3 quarters of year to pass before my theory ran out, I passed the day before it did run out.
Mark as a driving instructor is in my experience with instructors easy to get along, overall a great guy, he worked around my work schedule and taught me a lot which you’re there for, he speaks in a calm manner, very clearly, can even dumb it down for you which was very helpful for my tiny brain. We had a good laugh now and then and at times I had to take an extended amount of time away from driving due to personal things and Mark was understanding of it and showed support throughout my time learning under him, I’m very grateful for the time he gave me to eventually pass and couldn’t of asked for anyone better.
Highly Recommend Mark.

From the time I started in August 2024 to when I finished in February 2026, Mark has been very kind and helpful. He taught me right from wrong and was incredibly patient with me, even when I made silly mistakes. He never made me feel silly about them and would simply tell me to try again.
He was a huge help throughout my journey, and for anyone else lucky enough to find him and have him, trust me—he will help, guide, and take care of you. Thank you so much, Mark, for everything.

Passed FIRST TIME! An incredible instructor for anyone with complex needs.
I cannot recommend Mark enough. Before starting lessons, I genuinely didn’t know whether driving would be possible for me. I live with a physical disability as well as ADHD and EUPD, so I needed an instructor who was more than just a teacher, I needed someone who truly understood my challenges. Mark was that person.
From the very first lesson, he adapted his teaching to my physical needs and showed remarkable patience with my neurodivergence and mental health. He supported me through every step, never judged me on difficult days, and consistently helped me build confidence in myself.
Because of his encouragement and understanding, I passed my driving test on the first attempt.
If you’re looking for an instructor who is kind, inclusive, and genuinely committed to your success, look no further. Thank you, Mark, for changing my life..... 🚗

Just recently passed my driving test with 1 minor with marks guidance, he doesn’t just teach you to pass the test but real situations. Mark turned me from a nervous wreck to a safe and confident driver.
I will be recommending him to all my friends and family looking into driving lessons.

Honestly can’t recommend Mark enough as a driving instructor! From day one, his patience was incredible. I was such a nervous driver, but he stayed calm, supportive, and never once made me feel under pressure.
Mark explains everything so clearly and takes the time to make sure you fully understand, which really helped build my confidence.
