From the very first lesson, Mick was always fair, honest, and trustworthy. He was straight to the point, explained everything clearly, and maintained a high standard of teaching throughout.
It’s obvious he’s genuinely passionate about what he does and always wants the best for his students. Every lesson felt productive, and I was constantly making progress. He knew exactly when to push me out of my comfort zone, which really helped build my confidence and prepare me for driving independently.
Thanks to his guidance, I passed my test first time and felt fully prepared to drive on my own. I’m really grateful for everything he taught me.

Mick is absolutely an amazing instructor. He knows every details about practice test. And he will take you to all the not normal roundabouts and junctions in York and explain how to dealing with them....
Mick is absolutely an amazing instructor. He knows every details about practice test. And he will take you to all the not normal roundabouts and junctions in York and explain how to dealing with them. There’s no stress with Mick and he was able to correct my mistake and explained very clearly. I built my confidence gradually and passed my test.
Would recommend Mick to everyone!

If you want to be taught how to drive correctly, use Mick at one on one. If you want a driving instructor that ensures you are 100% ready before test, use Mick at one on one. I passed first time, I know that if I hadn't listened to Mick or followed his instructions, I never would have passed. Mick is a true professional, he's bluntly honest about your standards and your progress, this is exactly what you need if you truly want to get your licence first time. I would not hesitate in recommending Mick at one on one to anyone. Thanks again Mick and all the best for the future.

Mick is an excellent instructor. He has a no nonsense style of teaching, letting you know exactly when you have made a mistake and how to rectify/avoid them in the future, whilst equally praising your improvement and consistency. This, paired with his knowledge and experience, allowed me to get to grips with the basics very quickly; leaving more time to focus on other areas such as traffic awareness. Mick swiftly got back to my initial inquiry and from the first lesson, it was very clear to me that he cares about his students and wants them to see them succeed. I feel extremely lucky to have come across Mick and I could not recommend him enough.

Mick is a terrific instructor. He will clearly mark and celebrate the progress you make and the good driving that you do whilst also keeping you accountable to not just a 'good enough' standard, but an excellent, very safe and confident one.
I had some prior experience but Mick taught me out of old bad habits before going on a journey across several months from making regular faults and mistakes to passing with two minors.
