Throughout my driving lessons, Mikey has been a good instructor with giving me constant feedback, to help me improve with my driving. As well as being flexible with his availability. However this year, I felt like I was let down by his professionalism and service. Firstly, during my lessons, he would inform me about the practical test, but didn’t tell me as to when the test was. So I had to find it on the DVLA website, I was upset and annoyed that he didn’t tell me, as it could have helped a lot with practice and getting additional lessons before the test. I confronted him about him and, he gas lighted the situation, as if I was in the wrong. Secondly, before my practical test, he had to self isolate, which I couldn’t get any practice before the test. Therefore, he changed my practical test to a later date. Since then, Mikey has said my driving has been good, in comparison to if it was a practical test, I would only make few minor mistakes. However, in one of the lessons before my practical test, I was driving smoothly till at the end, I caused a major, which I didn’t intend to do. Since that happened, Mikey had doubts about me doing the test and decides to not take me to the practical test. Leaving me on my own to figure out a way to get to the test etc. I was annoyed as when it comes to the practical test, you should use ur instructors car, as it makes sense, that you’ve been practising in it for ages. From this, him and I had a conversation about my driving and the practical test, he said that I can drive, yet with the practical test I would end up failing w the amount of minors and few majors I would have in the lesson. But I said the point of making the mistakes in the lesson, is to not make them, in the practical test and learn from them. He didn’t say anything and changed to subject to me paying him £62 for the practical test, that he wasn’t going to take me to. Which I was annoyed and upset with the whole situation. From both encounters I’ve had with Mikey, I’ve felt dishonest, upset and annoyed and, it’s not the way to treat a student when it comes to driving. Read Less
