I had lessons with Sami for a while, and he is an excellent driving instructor. I would highly recommend him to anyone learning to drive. He was especially supportive whenever I felt anxious or stressed, always remaining calm, patient, and encouraging. His communication was very clear, which made it easy to understand everything and helped me learn quickly. Sami created a comfortable and professional learning environment where I always felt at ease and confident behind the wheel. Thanks to his excellent teaching, I was able to pass my driving test first time. I’m very grateful for all his help and would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a fantastic driving instructor. Read Less

I Would describe LDA as the most prominent driving school in Oxford, and in my opinion the most popular. This is for good reason. I was driving with Parveen, an amazing driving instructor! She's able to get knowledge across in a calm and relaxed way, as well as break down complicated information into more digestible bits. She doesn't let info-overload bog you down! Her style is more practical as opposed to theory (Which suits me best). So if you prefer to drive and go straight into it? Go for her. She's also a great conversationalist, very bubbly and funny - able to break the ice in any situation! Additionally, She knows how to teach people that are on the neurodiversity spectrum. That, in my view, makes her an incredibly skilled instructor. LDA also have their own YouTube channel with guides and resources too so it's something to look into if you wanna do self-set homework. All in all, I absolutely recommend LDA, especially Parveen! Read Less

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The best driving instructor, especially for those who feel anxious: Banar Authman! I believe that behind every success in life, proper knowledge and guidance play the most crucial role. It is impossible to gain confidence without the right education. When I first started learning to drive, I was incredibly inexperienced and nervous. However, my wonderful instructor at (Local Driving Academy) Oxford- LDA.Banar Authman, completely took that fear away. Her teaching style is extremely calm, reassuring, and gentle, which easily builds a learner's confidence. She never got frustrated when I made mistakes; instead, she broke everything down into simple steps until I understood. Thanks to her amazing guidance, I passed my automatic driving test on my second attempt on 29 June 2026 with total confidence! I am deeply grateful to my instructor, Banar Authman. Alongside her, I would like to say a huge thank you from the bottom of my heart to Khadija Mubarak. Her brilliant support, proper guidance, and positive encouragement at every step gave me so much courage. This journey would not have been this smooth without her wonderful help. For anyone looking to learn to drive, I highly recommend both of them equally. I've just passed my driving test first time and I can't recommend my driving instructor, Huma from Oxford LDA, highly enough. I had told Huma on my first lesson that I'd like to pass within 4-6 months of starting to drive (which I have now done!) and she made sure that I was ready well within that time. Huma always arrived to lessons ahead of time, and was super clear throughout about precisely how to improve and get ready for what to expect in the test. I felt like I was supported to make fast progress. Huma stands out for having an impressive technical knowledge of the DVSA standards, and has incredibly clear communication. If you are worried about the technical aspects of roundabouts and reversing manoeuvres, Huma will be able to make it clear and easy to achieve by breaking them down into simple steps, and ensuring that you are test-ready. And as well as preparation for the test, Huma will ensure you become a really safe and confident driver for the rest of your life. The prices from Oxford LDA are good, and they have a student rate. And what you get for that price is excellent - I was able to pass without spending nearly as much as I thought I would, since the instructing at LDA was so clear and thorough and I could progress quickly. I had a very good experience with LDA.My instructor, Sam, was patient, friendly, and explained everything in a clear and simple way. He always stayed calm, even when I made mistakes, and corrected me nicely so I could improve. I started with zero driving experience, but Sam taught me everything from the beginner level and helped me build my skills step by step. He also did many mock tests with me, which really increased my confidence for the real driving test. He is very approachable and supportive. Thanks Sam, Today I passed my driving test. As it gave me more time to get confident on the road, also be conformable to deal with roundabouts , junctions approach , parking and other manoeuvres . Sayed is really patient , calm , full of knowledge and tips Driving Instructor! Also his where to support , to help and advise you on any questions or situations you not sure about! Would highly recommend Sayed. He is a very competent driving instructor and gives detailed instruction. He is always very punctual and helps you get familiar with all the roundabouts, dual carriageways etc... so that the actual test feels like second nature. Even though my lessons were very spread out (which makes it harder to retain information), I was able to pass first time with only 27 hours in the car. Read Less

I learned driving with Yasser from LDA. He is a very patient, thorough and skilled instructor, who can make the whole learning experience more efficient but less stressful. I absolutely enjoyed learning driving with him. I didn't expect to pass on my first try, but with his help I did!!! If you are learning automatic I highly recommend him.
