Steve is a born teacher and I can’t recommend him enough. He was always calm, patient and positive, even when my driving was terrible! He helped me to realise my short term and long terms goals and broke these down through each lesson. He makes everything really clear and easy to follow/remember and his systematic approach really helped me (I often find myself quoting him whilst driving!). I had previously learnt to drive with two other instructors over two years, but I was still terrified of driving before starting my lessons with Steve, however, he has developed my confidence so much through his supportive and encouraging approach that I am now driving solo in just a couple of months. Steve helped me transition from another instructor at a time where I had very little confidence in my ability to be able to one day pass my test. Steve helped me rebuild my confidence and was always supportive and patient with me, no matter how big of a mistake I made! Steve had a very calming presence, which made learning a lot easier, as well as being always on time to my lessons, and he was always flexible if certain times couldn't be met or needed changing. As a person who was rather anxious about learning to drive Steve made me feel relaxed and comfortable right away. His calming influence helped me feel a lot more confident early on which helped no end in the long run. He is very flexible and generous with the time given in lessons and was always very good at keeping me informed if there were any changes. Steve knew when to step in and the right things to say if things were getting on top of me a bit. He also gives you access to the excellent theory test pro app which is a fantastic resource in helping to prepare. Steve's prices are very competitive and overall I couldn't recommend him enough. It was a pleasure having him as my instructor and to see the transformation of myself, from having little confidence at the start to passing my test 1st time 6 months down the line, is testament to the quality of Steve's guidance. Steve helped me pass my test today with only 3 minors and I am over the moon! I had used 3 different instructors prior to Steve and can honestly say he was by far the best. I can't believe this I have actually just passed my test! Having been putting the whole business of driving off for almost two decades, I came with very little confidence and skills. Steve is an exceptional instructor, always friendly and patient, I felt I learnt more from him in my first lesson, than I had learnt over the past several months! I strongly recommend Steve to anyone with nerves really creating havoc with the mere thought of driving. He has a calming effect - quite literally.
