The positives are he's cheap and flexible with how many lessons you book at once. No set block bookings ect. Now for the negatives. Firstly I thought him having 40+ years experience would be a positive but on reflection I don't think it's a good thing as he's too set in his ways. Same routine every lesson, same dialog. Very impatient and critical when you make a mistake again I put that down to him having 40+ years experience his patience has definitely taken a beating over the decades. It's the only time he appears to be interested in the lesson is when you make a mistake he'll give you a telling off without any advice to follow. Then he's back to looking at his iPad. He's an elderly instructor who has evidently fallen out of love with teaching. Most of the time on the lesson you're left to feel like you're teaching yourself as he's unengaged and uninterested. Very little communication and never a debrief at the end of the lesson just says the same thing "we had our moments today, see you next week" no reflection on the lesson you just had or what you need to think about improving for the next lesson ect. Just completely uninvested in your progression. I made the mistake of paying for a block booking upfront and decided to just not even take my last lesson and cut my losses. His rates are appealing but you're better off Investing that little extra cash and going with someone younger who has fresher patience and who doesn't insult you when you make a mistake. Read Less
