Jackie is an excellent, calm and professional driving instructor. Throughout my lessons she ensured that I felt confident and comfortable, consistently reassuring me through out despite my anxiety’s. Fantastic instructor, I passed first time. Very patient, understanding and helpful. I struggled a little with manoeuvres but the way Jackie explained it really helped me and I picked them up quickly. My daughter is now learning how to drive with Jackie and is very excited when she goes out for lessons. Would not recommend. I have been with jackie for a whole year now. Jackie Abandoned me 3 days before my test (test was booked 6 months in advance and Jackie was aware of this) said to me 3 weeks prior I could take it in her car and she “believes you have a high chance of passing” - would turn up late to pick me up usually around 5-10 mins due to “road works or traffic” #leave early then. Shouts a lot when you make mistakes and likes control of lessons. Jackie also “asked for advice” off local driving instructors about me taking the test in her car and went with the advice given, even though they have never seen me drive. Now after taking to other instructors this is a normal thing. Will be reporting to the DVLA. 1 star is a valid and very much deserved rating for Jackie. Do not go with her as your driving instructor. EDIT: I passed my driving test with a new instructor first time. So this proves I was ready for test. Jackie also charges through the roof for lessons and test days. My test week with Jackie was £260, I found a new instructor who was lovely and only charged me £85 just for test day! Jackie wanted £180 for test day + 2 hour lesson on the days leading up to test. Even if she says my account on her lessons and teachings are not true. I’m the one who put up with her for a whole year and other instructors I’ve spoken too have said how shocking her rules are with payment and her late arrivals were. These minuets were never made up at the end of lessons. If the lesson started at 11:00 but she was late the 2 hour lesson would still be finishing 10 mins early. Also after having 4 hours in a new car with a new instructor (the new car I passed my test In) , I had to relearn everything taught to me by Jackie because they were incorrect. Jackie has a very old way of teaching that’s now outdated. She’s a very anxious driving instructor and constantly touches the dual controls and steering wheel so your never fully in control of anything in the car and it makes you constantly on edge. I passed my test the same week Jackie ditched me so this proves I was ready for test and passed with flying colours. really don’t recommend her as an instructor. Read Less
