Rakesh has been extremely helpful throughout my time learning how to drive and although he is very modest, I honestly wouldn't have been able to pass without him. He makes sure there is nothing left to chance on the day of the test and even more importantly, teaches you how to drive safely and confidently beyond the test day. He had confidence in my abilities even when I didn't and knew when I was fully prepared to take my test, suggesting to move the test day forward which ultimately saved a lot of time, money and was the right move as I passed first time. I can't thank him enough.

Rakesh taught my daughter to drive and I honestly have to say, we could not have got a better instructor! Not only is Rakesh knowledgeable and friendly, his encouragement and belief in my daughter's skills, even when she was feeling a bit doubtful, were a huge support. Rakesh is not just about passing (although my daughter passed 1st time), but about safety, confidence and understanding of driving and other drivers. He encouraged me to come join their lessons so I could see what my daughter was doing, helping me to then practice the same processes in her car. Rakesh was also welcoming and kept me, as a parent, fully informed through a WhatsApp group with myself and my daughter. His honesty and integrity are beyond question. Before her test, he took her for a drive around the area and helped her feel relaxed. Thank you for everything you have done for my daughter Rakesh. I feel she is now well prepared for being on the road as a new driver. I look forward to you teaching my other daughter next year! Highly recommended!!

🌟 Bill is a brilliant instructor 🌟
I couldn’t have asked for a better learning experience ! I had recently moved to Woking and glad to have found him. I already had some previous driving practice and went through an unsuccessful test attempt before starting lessons with Bill. His curated practice sessions are very valuable and well structured.
In the beginning, he spent time explaining the theory and preparing my mind on how to approach different situations on the road, especially junctions, hill start, clutch control, observations, positioning, good LADA and planning ahead. This really helped me understand not just what to do, but why I was doing it.
At the end of every lesson, he gave a clear summary of what we had covered and where I needed to improve. This really helped me understand my weaknesses and build my confidence.
With Bill’s guidance and support, I passed on my third attempt. I’m very grateful for his help and would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a patient, knowledgeable, and reliable driving instructor.

I had David as my driving instructor and definitely recommend GSI to anyone looking to learn to drive. David was always punctual and very reliable. Whilst I was quite nervous driving at the start, his patience and experience allowed me to become more confident. Prior to my test he ensured that I was comfortable with all manoeuvres but also that I understood how the test worked on the day to avoid any confusion. On my test day, I used David's car and prior to the test we drove round the test centre area which allowed me to become familiar with the roads. Whilst learning, I only ever drove with David and had no additional practice outside of lessons. His guidance and well structured lessons allowed me to pass first time with only one minor. Overall, great experience!

Highly recommend GSI.
Our son passed first time with Duncan.
Duncan was extremely flexible and accommodating. He was patient and built confidence, his car was easy to drive.
Very friendly guy, our son looked forward to the lessons.
Tamara helped our daughter pass and she was incredible too.
Our main point of contact was David Gubbins, who was very professional and responsive in helping us find the right instructors.
Great team all round.

I have been searching for a driving school for a while. I've read all the negative reviews about GSI and at first, decided to avoid them. I found another available instructor and that was my big mistake (but that is another story)) ) With great suspicion, I called GSI and booked a test lesson. I can't tell you about all their instructors, but Pepi Marchese is an AMAZING instructor! Very professional, patient, calm, positive and punctual. Even if you'll do something wrong (and you will as we're all learning) he will remain professional and explain what was the mistake and how to avoid it next time.I've passed my driving test already but will book some motorway lessons with them later. Thank you GSI and THANK YOU VERY MUCH PEPI!!! You're a great teacher!

This man is vile. He made the learner cry, took personal calls whilst in the car, spoke ill of ex pupils to me and shouted at the learner. Didn't turn up several times to lessons. Owes us money which ...
This man is vile. He made the learner cry, took personal calls whilst in the car, spoke ill of ex pupils to me and shouted at the learner. Didn't turn up several times to lessons. Owes us money which I have confronted him about and he denied. I have made an official complaint to the driving standards agency about him and when he was informed of this, he told the driving standards agency that my claims were untrue. He has rated himself 5 out of 5 on google. Need I say more? Avoid this driving instructor like the plague!! Awful experience!

I chose GSI based on friends’ recommendations and I didn’t look at reviews online which was my first mistake. My instructor was inappropriate, unreliable, had sexist and racist remarks, asked me if I was gay (?), had very inappropriate conversation with another female student in the back of the car who I was driving home. He was often late and didn’t let me know or apologise for his tardiness. Flat out lied to me about fees. He never attempted to teach me how to be a good and safe driver, I picked up more bad habits from him than anything positive. I paid slightly less for my lessons than another student, I heard him discuss this on the phone as very often he did that while I was driving, on loudspeaker (very distracting). He shouted at me most of the time for no reason. For reference I changed schools and with my new instructor I passed first time.

Rakesh has been extremely helpful throughout my time learning how to drive and although he is very modest, I honestly wouldn't have been able to pass without him. He makes sure there is nothing left to chance on the day of the test and even more importantly, teaches you how to drive safely and confidently beyond the test day. He had confidence in my abilities even when I didn't and knew when I was fully prepared to take my test, suggesting to move the test day forward which ultimately saved a lot of time, money and was the right move as I passed first time. I can't thank him enough.

Rakesh taught my daughter to drive and I honestly have to say, we could not have got a better instructor! Not only is Rakesh knowledgeable and friendly, his encouragement and belief in my daughter's skills, even when she was feeling a bit doubtful, were a huge support. Rakesh is not just about passing (although my daughter passed 1st time), but about safety, confidence and understanding of driving and other drivers. I couldn’t have asked for a better learning experience ! I had recently moved to Woking and glad to have found him. I already had some previous driving practice and went through an unsuccessful test attempt before starting lessons with Bill. His curated practice sessions are very valuable and well structured.
In the beginning, he spent time explaining the theory and preparing my mind on how to approach different situations on the road, especially junctions, hill start, clutch control, observations, positioning, good LADA and planning ahead. This really helped me understand not just what to do, but why I was doing it.

I had David as my driving instructor and definitely recommend GSI to anyone looking to learn to drive. David was always punctual and very reliable. Whilst I was quite nervous driving at the start, his patience and experience allowed me to become more confident. Prior to my test he ensured that I was comfortable with all manoeuvres but also that I understood how the test worked on the day to avoid any confusion. On my test day, I used David's car and prior to the test we drove round the test centre area which allowed me to become familiar with the roads. Whilst learning, I only ever drove with David and had no additional practice outside of lessons. His guidance and well structured lessons allowed me to pass first time with only one minor. Duncan was extremely flexible and accommodating. He was patient and built confidence, his car was easy to drive.
Very friendly guy, our son looked forward to the lessons.
Tamara helped our daughter pass and she was incredible too.
Our main point of contact was David Gubbins, who was very professional and responsive in helping us find the right instructors.
Great team all round.

I have been searching for a driving school for a while. I've read all the negative reviews about GSI and at first, decided to avoid them. I found another available instructor and that was my big mistake (but that is another story)) ) With great suspicion, I called GSI and booked a test lesson. I can't tell you about all their instructors, but Pepi Marchese is an AMAZING instructor! Very professional, patient, calm, positive and punctual. Even if you'll do something wrong (and you will as we're all learning) he will remain professional and explain what was the mistake and how to avoid it next time.I've passed my driving test already but will book some motorway lessons with them later.
