This company has been one of the best driving companies out there as I have trialed few myself. My instructor Mr Badri was so helpful. He taught me driving and took me all around the test routes, at the same time he was concise and straight to the point with his teaching. I took 22 hours with him and believe me I was driving so much better by the 15th hour, he always motivated me to build confidence and simplified driving for me. As well as he is an honest and respectful man. Thank you for helping me pass. I passed within 2 months of taking lessons.

I genuinely can’t recommend Ali Raza highly enough. I’m currently training to become a driving instructor, and choosing him as my ADI trainer has been one of the best decisions I’ve made.
Ali has an incredible way of teaching. He explains everything so clearly and simply that even the most difficult topics become easy to understand. There have been many things that I struggled with before, but the way Ali breaks them down has made everything click. His knowledge and experience are second to none.
What I appreciate most is his patience and professionalism. He never rushes through a lesson and always makes sure I fully understand a topic before moving on. He genuinely cares about his students and wants them to succeed, which shows in every lesson.
Every session has increased my confidence, not just as a driver but as a future driving instructor. I leave each lesson having learned something valuable, and I can honestly say that nobody has explained things to me as well as Ali has.
If you’re looking for someone who is experienced, honest, supportive, and truly passionate about teaching, Ali Raza is the person to go to. Thank you, Ali, for all your guidance, patience, and encouragement. I really appreciate everything you’ve done for me, and I look forward to continuing my training with you.

I had a very positive experience learning with Smart Learner Driving School and my instructor, Mr. Barry Badri. From the beginning, Barry was professional, patient, and supportive throughout my learning journey. His lessons were well-structured and tailored to help me improve my confidence and driving skills step by step. He ensured that I received sufficient practice in all the key areas required for the driving test. His clear explanations and constructive feedback helped me understand and correct my mistakes effectively. Barry always created a calm and comfortable learning environment, which made every lesson productive and enjoyable. Thanks to his guidance and teaching approach, I felt fully prepared for my practical driving test. I am delighted to have passed my driving test on 7th June 2026. I’m so grateful for all the support and guidance Jamila gave me throughout my driving lessons. She was incredibly patient, encouraging, and always explained things in a way that made me feel confident behind the wheel. Even when I made mistakes, she stayed calm and helped me learn from them, which made a huge difference to my progress. Thanks to her clear instruction and belief in me, I was able to pass my driving test today and I couldn’t have done it without her. She’s not just a great instructor, but someone who genuinely cares about her students succeeding

Just witnessed one of your instructors with a learner at the wheel sit in the middle lane of the three lane A46 and not move over to the left despite having nothing left to overtake. Then attempted to...
Just witnessed one of your instructors with a learner at the wheel sit in the middle lane of the three lane A46 and not move over to the left despite having nothing left to overtake. Then attempted to move over left, just as the lane was closing due to roadworks. As we entered the roadworks the speed limit was reduced to 50mph. They then did approx 40mph instead of the safe 50mph limit. If this is the standard of teaching I am not surprised that more and more people are having bad motorway/dual carriageway etiquette these days. No blame to the learner here whatsoever, its the instructors responsibility to teach the learner. You have failed in doing this. Do better.

My experience with Smart Learner is very positive!
I took approx. 40h in a different school with no progress at all, so moving to Smart Learner I didn't believe that I'm going to drive.
My instructor was Kevin, he is brilliant, has lots of experience, very patient and professional! After taking a first lesson with him I felt much more confident, I had no doubts that I did a right choice changing the school. Kevin helped me to build my confidence, to stay calm, he always been there willing to help, answer any questions and explain.
I would recommend the school and Kevin as instructor to anyone!

I've recently started learning with smart learners Jeanette . She's a lovely driving instructor who was highly recommended to me by a few of my friends.She built up my confidence that had been knocked by my old driving instructor who wasn't patient with me and didn't help with my anxiety . Since being taught by Jeanette she has helped me be more calm when approaching round abouts and busy junctions.
Definitely would recommend to others as she's so patient and understanding of everyone's individual requirements and teaches you in the way appropriate to you and your personality . Speaking from experience I know I get very worried and she helps calms my nerves and gives me the confidence .

After doing 8 months of weekly lessons elsewhere & not getting very far i changed to Smart Learner, my instructor was Trevor. In the first few weeks with Trevor i learnt more than what i had done in the previous 8 months with a different company. I highly recommend Trevor & Smart Learner. Very friendly, brilliant service. 4 months after starting lessons with Trevor i had my practical test. I failed due to a silly mistake i made but i then passed a month later. Been passed 3 weeks now & can't thank Trevor enough for getting me to this stage. I will always recommend him & Smart Learner to anyone that is wanting to learn to drive. His teaching skills are so much better than my previous instructor, Trevor was professional, had a lot of patience with me & i looked forward to my lessons. Fantastic service...

Seemed really professional at first. Until I was unable to pay in blocks. Received no feedback on availability from instructor at this point. I asked further only to recieve an abrupt insulting message. I told them to stick it up their backside. The main manager then tried to defend his company by saying it wasn't his fault as all drivers are self employed. Joker.

This company has been one of the best driving companies out there as I have trialed few myself. My instructor Mr Badri was so helpful. He taught me driving and took me all around the test routes, at the same time he was concise and straight to the point with his teaching. I genuinely can’t recommend Ali Raza highly enough. I’m currently training to become a driving instructor, and choosing him as my ADI trainer has been one of the best decisions I’ve made.
Ali has an incredible way of teaching. He explains everything so clearly and simply that even the most difficult topics become easy to understand. There have been many things that I struggled with before, but the way Ali breaks them down has made everything click. His knowledge and experience are second to none.

My experience with Smart Learner is very positive!
I took approx. 40h in a different school with no progress at all, so moving to Smart Learner I didn't believe that I'm going to drive.
My instructor was Kevin, he is brilliant, has lots of experience, very patient and professional! I've recently started learning with smart learners Jeanette .
