I passed 4 years ago with Neil. I started to learn to drive years ago with a different instructor, after nearly causing an accident I stopped. I lost all confidence in my ability to control a car. Fast forward 16 years I decided to learn again Neil had the most recommendations in my area, unfortunately he was full when I contacted him so I found someone else, the next day Neil contacted me to say he had a pupil who was taking a break from learning and would I like the spot. I’m a girl who believes in fate, everything happens for a reason, I obviously said yes and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. He’s kind, caring, patient and passionate about the role he has teaching his pupils to drive. I was a nervous wreck and he put me at ease so quickly, unfortunately Covid arrived 6 weeks into my lessons. Neil navigated everything so professionally he was understanding if I needed to change a lesson or cancel due to the rules. He supported me through the nerves, self doubt and the disappointment I felt in myself if I made a mistake. He was quick to build up my confidence and remind me of all the things I did right. My lessons became a big part of my week, I started to look forward to them (it took a while) that was down to Neil as a person, we had good conversations and a joke or two. It took me 3 attempts to pass, both fails were down to one silly mistake made by me, no fault of Neil’s teaching skills. In all honesty I still can’t parallel park 😂 my son however has mastered parallel parking thanks to Neil. I can’t recommend him enough, if you’re apprehensive about learning, even unsure of a male instructor, I can honestly say you will feel so comfortable and at ease with him. What are you waiting for? A late review (passed 2 years ago) but still well deserved, brilliant instructor, I’d had 3 instructors before Neil but he’s definitely the best by far decent bloke, unfortunately he wasn’t available at the time of test it was really short notice but without his knowledge I wouldn’t even be close to passing (passed 1 minor). Just passed my class 1 (LGV) and I still use the tips and tricks that I was taught to this day. 👍🏻 Read Less
