We operate a 'no gimmicks' approach to learning to drive giving only excellent and professional tuition. We have traded for over 25 years on our good reputation and high pass rate. Our manual and automatic cars are fully dual controlled so you can learn to drive with confidence knowing that we are in complete control of the vehicles. We can organise the Theory/Hazard Perception test appointments and eventually your Practical Driving Test date. Just leave all the worrying to us.

Jaime has been so calm and supportive, helping me get back into driving after I stopped for a long period of time when I lost my nerve. He politely corrected some bad habits I'd picked up over the years, and also brought me up to speed on the latest highway code changes. Very helpful - would definitely recommend.

I was recommended Ladderbanks Driving School after a bad experience with a nationwide driving school. Before Don took me on as a learner, I was taught a number of bad driving habits, was continuously taken to do laps around the test routes and was expected to memorise them for my upcoming test that the previous instructor didn't show up for. Don taught me to steer properly, to drive safely on every road and how to problem solve any situation. I failed my first test which was completely down to nerves and Don was genuinely upset but with a pep talk, Don gave me the confidence to pass second time around. I highly recommend Ladderbanks if you actually want to learn to drive confidently and safely.

Don is a very good driving instructor; by the book and a tough cookie, but will get you passed and get you driving properly and safely. Passed first time with him to say I was very nervous and anxious before the test, but he's strict but high standard driving methods really disciplined and prepared me well for whatever may come on test day. Thanks Don.

Wonderful learning experience with Ladderbanks. My instructor was Don, who was professional and friendly throughout my learning. I was a very anxious driver, and Don put me at ease, supporting me and helping me grow my confidence, so much so, I passed my test a few weeks ago!
A big thank you to Don, for the hard work and patience (with my anxiety) throughout my lessons - I've recently bought my first car and can't wait to get on the road.

I’ve been learning to drive with Don since May last year, I’m 46 years old and have not had the confidence to drive since an incident when I was 17. Don has not only taught me to drive but has given me confidence I never thought I had, he patiently taught me how to drive and at my pace, I thoroughly enjoyed his company which helped me to get to the position where I was ready for my test. Today I passed first time and it means so much for me to have done it, I couldn’t have done it without such a good instructor in Don. Thank you for believing in me and being such a great teacher x

I know this is a late review Dom,as I said to your wife on the phone it was ever so justified.. shortly after passing my test first time with dom and his son showing me the right way and also passing ...
I know this is a late review Dom,as I said to your wife on the phone it was ever so justified.. shortly after passing my test first time with dom and his son showing me the right way and also passing the pass plus with this incredible instructor I was hit with the massive diagnosis of the lifelong ASD (Aspergers syndrome) Dom had kept me calm from redefining instructions id received from the AA driving school up in Scotland and was patient right the way through (after some extensive lessons) but I placed my trust in him and rightly so he got me through without a hitch (3 minors!! even with a last minute meltdown which nearly cancelled my test - now I know Dom saw me through the last autistic meltdown pre diagnosis and calmed me enough to do my test)
Honestly I would recommend him and his son to teach any one especially someone needing calm and patient tuition that I did and well for what it's worth I hope it is a justified accolade to add that you got a autistic person through a test first time right after a melt down... thanks Dom (btw now I've gone on a motorbike for my solitude but the bike waving at you is probably me)

I’ve been learning to drive with Don since May last year, I’m 46 years old and have not had the confidence to drive since an incident when I was 17. Don has not only taught me to drive but has given me confidence I never thought I had, he patiently taught me how to drive and at my pace, I thoroughly enjoyed his company which helped me to get to the position where I was ready for my test.
