After an extended period ( 15 years ) of no lessons phill brought me up to speed with excellent patience .. with his help I passed both my theory and practical first time . I've had exactly the same experience, I prepaid for two lessons in December last year and played the nice guy for two months of cancellations and 'full bookings'. And now he's just ignoring me. Don't trust this man. Read Less

If I could rate it as 0 stars I would. Phill is nothing more than a con man and a fraud. He takes money for block bookings, then does the same lesson over and over again, while taking cigarette and toilet breaks. He bad mouths pupils, turns up late to lessons, cancels lessons and then when you need to cancel a lesson he takes the hours off you anyway. On several occasions I have asked for my money back due to not completing the course of lessons I paid for, funnily enough he states no refunds, but according to his T&C you should be entitled to the service you have paid for. Which you don't get with Phill. All the positive reviews are from friends and family which makes it all the more amusing that he is still in business. Read Less

So happy with my outcome! Really good instructor very knowledgeable and explains things in a simple way even when they seem hard at first. He has a lot of patience and just an all round good teacher! Reading some of the other reviews on here I have to say I strongly disagree with them I was doing 2 hour lessons and we did have a break half way through which I personally found very uswfull as driving that long when new is tiring and hard to keep your concentration up! When I started my first driving lesson with Phill I had never sat in the driving seat of a car before; by the time I finished that lesson I was right at home and completely comfortable with the car and all of the basic controls. Phill is an excellent teacher as well as an absolutely lovely man with a great sense of humour, he's willing to go at your pace and won't rush you, but knows how to push you just the right amount to get you where you need to be each session. Never available for lessons, pressures you into buying lessons then cancels them. Takes smoking break in the middle of the lesson and turns up late for lessons. Still owed £170 from him for outstanding lessons, haven't been able to get a refund. Have given up with his awful teaching and found a better instructor. Reported to DVSA who are investigated him. The guy is a fraud and a terrible instructor. 1 lesson with another instructor has shown how much I was missing from my lessons. 5 months and have actually only done 11 lessons!
