I signed my kid on line, my kid did not want to go. Directly I called them and I told the owner name Salazar if I can cancel, he said we have no cancellation policy, I told him I did not see it on your website and I didn't agree on it. He told me call me tomorrow. Next morning I check my email I found out they scheduled my kid without talking to me or my kid, I called and again Mr Salazar insisted that my kid called and scheduled the hours, I ask him what is my kid name he does not know. I want my money back.it is crazy they scheduled the classes one day 7AM and one at 4pm and one at 1pm and they picked the days as if we don't have work or life. I needed to get a new license since my out of state license had expired. I also had not driven in 6 years. As soon as I sighed up with Deer Valley I was on the road to success.Austen and Mike were great instructors and had me driving right away. Very helpful. Went from no driving to a master of driving in 4 lessons. Im not sure what the other reviews are saying when its hard to schedule. It was very easy and I was sent multiple reminders for every class. I would give them 10 stars if I could. I called Deer Valley and they seemed to have a good rate. I talked to a girl on the phone and explained my availability and asked her to find 10 hours on her schedule and book me and text me the appointment times and call me back to so I can give her my card info. She sends appts I ok them via and say call me on Monday and I'll give you my card. Monday no call. I call voicemail four times. I say call me please. I text. She says sorry I never got your texts. The appointments are booked by someone else now. Meanwhile I get two confirmation emails for appointments. What's going on?!I fill out a registration form. And think ok she must have booked them. The next day I try to click confirm on the appointments and it's says they are deleted. I call twice and some man says that I never made and that she tried to call me. What in the world! Instead of trying to fix it and say absolutely miss let's take your payment since you are ready and fix everything he says I never paid and hangs up. I waste two weekends because of this company. You should see my communications they were perfectly clear.  This is not the way to handle clients and when your staff make mistakes and doesn't follow up properly. Cole was my instructor, and he is great at what he does - teaching new students in a way that driving should be taught. Throughout my lessons, he was very friendly, and understanding of the fact that I wasn't used to the road. He was approachable if I had any questions, was thoroughly informative, and made sure to either compliment what I did well or to tell me what to improve. He gradually tailored the lessons to my progress, covering a variety of scenarios and info, and I soon realized I was driving on the freeway. His patience and reassurance really went a long way in making me feel more comfortable behind the wheel, especially at a higher speed. Around the end of my test, Cole told me that he wants students to also feel like they're having fun when driving (rather than it being a chore), and so I could tell he genuinely wants you to have a good time learning how to drive. Based on my experience with Cole and on other reviewers' experiences with their instructors, I would recommend this school if you want to be comfortable and even confident with driving right from the start. :) Thank you Cole! Totally worthless.   I paid for my grandson to take driving lessons.  They didn't teach him parking or backing up at all.  Each class was driving on the streets or freeway.   Not what a 16 year old needs to lear to feel confident.  Now I have to pay for a driving class from another company  to get his confidence up.  A very dissatisfied customer. You can't put a price on defensive driving knowledge and experience with a skilled instructor like Austen! She could have taken her license on her own, but we wanted this educational experience for her, and so glad I did! I took the 10 hour lesson with the road test waiver upon passing. Branden and Austen were great! I thought I would never learn. I used to drive with 2 feet and Austen really helped me get into the habit of 1 which is much safer. They pick you up, drop you off, take you into small neighborhoods, school zones, the freeway and everything you can think of. They have really competitive prices and they're DMV certified. Deer Valley Driving school was an awesome experience for my son. The Driver Tim came to my home picked up my son and have him instruction that he would use on a day to day basis. Being a working mom I did now have the time after work to take him often enough to train and teach him. I just finished a two hour lesson with this school and ordinarily I would wait until I've done all my lessons to review but I don't think that's necessary in this case. I paid $249 for four hours. My driving instructor was young, like me, very patient, very understanding and very aware. I think that having an instructor who was close to me in age made all the difference. The lesson was really tailored to my skill level. I've driven before and so we didn't waste time on things that I already knew. The entire two hours of the lesson was spent on the highway on streets. We even drove on the freeway for a short stretch. This was the type of instruction that I needed and I regret wasting time and money on another program. Hands down I would say if you've driven in the past and you just need to get into the swing of things, call this school. Even if you have never driven before, I would still say this is a good option because they tailor their lessons to the skill level of the driver. I'm feeling very confident.
