I highly recommend signal driving school! Mr. Santiago is the best!!! I had driver’s license outside of US, but the rule was very different from US, so I took his behind -the-wheel training for California driving licensure. Where do I start?! Well, just know I passed the driving test on my first try, and I believe that is only because I worked with Mr. Santiago. Mr. Santiago was an amazing teacher. I had never driven before taking his first lesson and by the end of the second lesson, I was comfortably driving on the freeway! I put a lot of pressure on the lessons as I needed to finish my set of 6 lessons in about a month instead of the normal 3-6 months. Yet, he was able to get me to the level where I passed my driving test on the first try. PARENTS: I felt very safe and confident with Mr. Santiago. I knew that if I made a bad mistake he would be able to control the vehicle and keep us safe. He was very professional but was kind and not uptight. STUDENTS: Mr. Santiago is the opposite of the scary driving instructors you hear about on social media. He is very helpful and encouraging. He does not yell or berate you. He will actually teach you many important skills unlike many other instructors I’ve heard about. All in all, please give Signal Driving School a chance. This driving school really helped me drive because at first when I would go out with my parents I was terrified and then I made an appointment with Jamie and he drove to my house and suddenly just gave me the keys at first I was pretty terrified for just getting the keys and just going. As I turned on the car the instructor Jamie gave some simple instructions and it didn't make me feel anxious or terrified. As we drove around the city he would give me pointers about my blind spot and keeping my speed it really helped me really helped me really understand and not be anxious at all. The first day we drove around Yorba Linda through Anaheim hills all the way to Fullerton during some traffic. Many people may think that traffic is not good when learning how to drive but I disagree because we live in a world full of it so it's better to get used to it now versus later. As the second day arrived I was not nervous at all we drove into a parking lot and practiced parallel parking and it was really cool how he taught it because he would at first take you outside of the car and "turn the wheel" with a pillow it really helped visualize what you are going to do. As we started to parallel park he would tell you what to do and then after a few he would tell you to do it by yourself. Doing this by myself was a little nerve racking because I was so used to do it with him but we tried it with three simple steps which made it easier that day we went around practicing parallel parking in different scenarios and we entered the freeway he gave me one instruction about merging and really keeping your distance. The third day we went from Yorba Linda to orange and did the roundabout in the orange circle at first I was nervous about the rules and the speeds everyone was at but as soon as I got the hang of it it was simple. This driving school has really helped me one moment terrified and the next confident. Furthermore this school really provides the whole rundown of driving in a way where you're not over whelmed with information. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. I'm surprised they have 4 1/2 stars because the only thing the did for me was help me get a little more confident driving. I paid over $500 for five 2 hour sessions so they could teach me how to drive freeways and streets. They normally suggest the less expensive ones because you don't need to know how to drive on the freeway to pass the drivers test. But I wanted to learn from a pro how to drive on freeways(little did I know these guys weren't very professional). In my fourth lesson we drove on the freeway for 10 mins and then I was told in my last lesson it would be all freeways. In my last lesson all we did was drive on small streets. I paid extra to drive on the freeway for 10 mins. I paid for this because I wanted them to teach me how to drive when in reality all they did was sit in the car while I drove and say turn here. And because of that I barely passed my driving test. The only nice thing I ca say about these people is they were nice and had good conversation. Read Less

I have used many driving schools for adult international business people for my clients and this is by far the *least professional* company I have encountered. We picked them because they said they had a Japanese speaking instructor. Too bad they never follow up or keep their promises. There are other better schools out there like Safety 1st who has been very responsive and professional. Read Less

I am SO glad I enrolled into this school for behind-the-wheel training! This was actually my 2nd time taking driving lessons because the first school I enrolled in was of very bad quality and I came out not learning anything about driving from that school. Even though this school was more expensive than others, it was totally worth it! I had 2 different instructors. Excuse me for not remembering their names! The younger man was very diligent and encouraging. The older woman was also very down to earth and patient. They both would make me feel at ease being behind the wheel, and never yelled at me. I would tell them my weak points in driving, and they would make sure to help me overcome those weaknesses in the lesson. I asked all of the questions I could think of, and they answered calmly and informatively. They gave me various worksheets with littles rules to remember for the road at the end of the lesson. When changing lanes or making turns, they always said "when you're ready to...", which is a big plus for me because it didn't pressure me and it allowed me to learn and expand my experiences with driving. Coming from another driving school which was very abrupt and intimidating, they've truly made me feel at ease behind the wheel. You could tell they were passionate and determined to teach people how to drive properly on the road. I've learned everything I know about driving from this school. Super awesome place. As a young adult who just wanted to take some behind the wheel training without the courses (seeing as I already had my permit) Nori came to my rescue! I had 3 behind the wheels. All with Nori (who I highly recommend). He is really kind and even draws diagrams to visually show you things like changing lanes and things. Quite helpful if you learn with both visually and by listening. Also, I had to make a last minute cancelation and reschedule my last appointment due to being unable to get my shift covered at work. I called and was informed that it would cost me 25$ to cancel due to canceling within a 24 hour window. I didn't mind I understood especially for behind the wheel appointments. However, the nice woman who answer the phone (I'm sorry I forget your name!) waived the fee for me without me asking! AND was able to find me another behind the wheel before my DMV drivers test on Oct 6th! If you are looking for quality driving schools at a good price  and is in the area, you've found it! Read Less

The staff is very helpful and accommodating! They are  personable and friendly and I have and will continue to refer them to my friends and family. They definitely care about the kids and, with our experience, they have gone above and beyond to show that. Great staff, friendly, family run, they care about their students and are very accommodating.  My child has sports and activities everyday and they picked her up from school and brought her home after her lesson.  Prices are competitive and I trusted my child was in good hands.  You can't put a price on that!  The rest of my kids will go there too! This is a wonderful place to get trained for driving.They are exceptionally good, kind and courteous.They went out of their way to teach me in the early morning hours.They just not teach enough to get a license but train you to be a safe driver. Read Less

My experience with sinal driving school was awesome. The staff was wonderful and polite. The in class traning was fun I learned eveything I need to know and more. They really cared that I learned everything I needed to know to get my liscence. The behind the wheel was cool. They picked me up at school and we drove for two hours around everywhere I knew.
