Hotlen Driving School has been in business for 26 years, or since 1989. Unlike other driving schools, we are the only school in Placer County that carries a brake and gas pedal on the passenger side. The Department of Motor Vehicle requires that driving schools install only a brake.

I used the Sofia Hotlen Driving School to prepare for my behind-the-wheel driving test in Grass Valley, and I could not have been more pleased. I'm an adult driver who had not previously needed a license, and I was quite nervous driving in traffic. My instructor, also named Kevin, put me at ease and gave me lots of tips to help build my confidence and ability. I had a total of 10 hours of instruction and passed my test with only 2 points off, one of which was a misunderstanding with the tester, so call it -1 point, a nearly perfect score! Sofia herself is mostly running the office and she was very professional, even found some extra driving time in the schedule when I requested it. Based on this experience I highly recommend the Sofia Hotlen school, and especially Instructor Kevin. Thanks for helping me finally get my license!

Think twice before going to this driving school, the driving instructor named sofia was late for the appointment, in my first class she was trying to distract me with nonsense all the time she was gossiping asking things about my family if you want to find the real reviews about her driving school I invite you to go to Yelp.com, she also wanted to add that she was canceling her next appointment because she had some personal earrings.

I was extremely nervous when first starting out, so Sofia and I started out slowly. She was patient and understanding. Over time I got comfortable behind and wheel. Her lessons are well structured, starting off in a parking lot, then to residential areas to practice left and right turns. Very good instructor.

I used the Sofia Hotlen Driving School to prepare for my behind-the-wheel driving test in Grass Valley, and I could not have been more pleased. I'm an adult driver who had not previously needed a license, and I was quite nervous driving in traffic. My instructor, also named Kevin, put me at ease and gave me lots of tips to help build my confidence and ability.
