I had a freeway driving lesson with Andre a few months ago and it went horribly. He is by far the most incompetent instructor I’ve ever driven with. From the start, he had an attitude. The way he spoke to me was demeaning, rude, and extremely uncomfortable. If I am going to be stuck in the car with a random man, you might be somewhat decent. He barely gave any advice on my driving and did not properly explain freeway rules. When he did speak, it was under his breath in a sarcastic and condescending tone, and he would laugh it off. I honestly don’t know what’s so funny. His attitude was very unprofessional and lazyyy. He often rolled his eyes, made faces, and used his phone while driving as well. Every time I asked a question, his responses were blunt, dismissive, and condescending. He talked down to me instead of actually teaching and doing his job. As an instructor, his job is to make drivers feel safe and confident, but he did the exact opposite. Nothing he said made me feel reassured, motivated, or more comfortable behind the wheel. I paid $200 for this lesson and the least he could do is come with a professional attitude. He acted like he was being forced to be there and didn’t even introduce himself. Whenever I asked how to know if it was safe to change lanes or what distance to keep from the car ahead, he brushed it off with vague answers like “you just know” or “it’s pretty straightforward.” That’s not instruction; that’s laziness. He would often grab the wheel without explaining why. Which just made things more confusing. By the end, I was left confused because he didn’t specify what I needed to work on and what mistakes I had made. It felt like I was just driving myself while he sat there. There was no proactive guidance. His demeanor was careless and irresponsible. At the end of the lesson, he just said, "Thanks for coming," with no advice. When I asked if he had any final feedback on what I should work on, he said he doesn't have anything to add and then told me I drove “fine.” How am I supposed to know what I need to improve on from “fine”? I always had to push him to get any kind of feedback and even tell him I would like to practice lane changes. No wonder he has no reviews mentioning him; he has an idgaf attitude. It was also clear that supervisors hadn’t properly communicated with him about the lesson. He wasn’t informed in advance that we’d be going on the 5. This whole place seems disorganized. I reached out to the school the very next day regarding my poor experience and didn’t get a response for over a week. I had to call them myself to get a hold of them. They’re quick to respond when it comes to payment, but when there’s an issue, there’s zero accountability. The supervisor, Meredith, even argued that since I finished my 2 hour and 54 mile session, it didn’t matter that it wasn’t up to my standard and expectations. Clearly standards don’t matter here. They love to boast about exceeding your expectations on their website but forget about it. I’ve driven with other instructors before but never experienced anything this bad. Save your money and go somewhere else. Right Way, your instructors need actual training and professionalism. Andre clearly doesn’t care and neither does the management. Read Less
