had a very disappointing and unprofessional experience with this driving school. I scheduled driving lessons for my daughter, who is a minor, and asked ahead of time if I could ride along. The instructor agreed. Unfortunately, the instructor showed up late, which was already frustrating and unprofessional. When we got into the vehicle, the training car was messy, loud, and appeared to be running poorly, which immediately made me uncomfortable. During the lesson, the instructor directed my daughter through a construction zone, and it became clear that he did not seem familiar with the area. When I asked a simple question about whether he was from the area, he responded rudely and told me that was his business and to “shut up.” I felt that was extremely disrespectful, especially in front of my child. The situation escalated because I did not feel it was appropriate for him to speak to me that way while I was present as a parent. I asked for my money back, and instead of handling it professionally, he threw the money at me over the seat. At one point, he also attempted to put the car into park while my daughter was driving, which I felt was unsafe and completely unacceptable. Overall, this was a horrible experience. I did not feel the instructor was professional, respectful, or safe. Based on what happened, I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for driving lessons for their child. Read Less

I had one of the biggest fears of driving, but thanks to American Champion Driving School, my confidence improved so much. They were patient, professional, and very supportive throughout the lessons. Brad is probably the best driving instructor one can actually find anywhere. He thought me every detail of driving with huge amount of patience and detail despite my lack of experience in driving a car. With only four days of training, I was able to pass my driving test on my first try. Brad is a superb instructor. He helped my wife who was new to the city to pass her behind the wheel driving test in her first trial. She was very impressed by his kindness and professional attitude to driving instruction. His patience and emphasis on safety provided her with the confidence to become a good driver. She was so excited with her positive experience to recommend Brad to two of her friends from the Bay area who failed couple of times before. The good news, they both passed atin their first trial in Davis. When my son was ready for his driving permit, I immediately took him to Brad. Last week my son passed his test first time. I had a really good experience with American Champions. I called them and booked a lesson a day before my test. They showed up on time and the instructor, Brad, was cheerful and ready to get to work. He helped me work on somethings that I was having trouble with and gave me tips on how to improve. He is a very patient guy and will explain whatever you having trouble with until you understand it. American Champions Driving School has the best driving school experience I could imagine. I did the online Driver's Ed, and it was very informative and streamlined, and I got my certificate in a timely fashion. I took the behind - the - wheel lessons as well, and the instructor was very nice. He corrected me politely when I made a mistake, and I feel like so much of a better driver now.
