Very affordable and easy to follow. The only issue I am having is someone picking up the phone. I have been trying to make my final payment for over 2 weeks now. EDIT Within a couple hours of posting the ORIGINAL REVIEW I got a call from Rodney. I am very pleased with the level of customer service shown. He apologized sincerely and explained the current situation. The COVID pandemic has forced companies to try new ideas and techniques to stay in business. Unfortunately, I got lost in the shuffle of adjusting to this change. I'd like to mention that NTSI may be one of the few companies offering a DUI course right now. This means they are impacted with all of the DUI cases happening in the Bay Area. I am very thankful for the call and clarification. ORIGINAL REVIEW Could be COVID related, but I was given no notifications or updates about classes until I reached out, and even then I didn't get a reply to my emails until I called in. I was told (with some attitude) that EVERYONE who signed up for orientatuon got an email about classes being held over Zoom. I didn't. And I signed up. I have a receipt. And tbh, I don't really care as long as I get into a class at some point, some how. Finally I got the email that classes start on Wednesday evenings. Yay! When did they send the email? 2PM on Wednesday. So they expect their students to wait on hold for months, but when classes start they cannot provide more than 4 hours notice? So I'm hoping I didn't miss the first class but I don't know. I emailed a request for clarification and have not received a response yet. Which in my experiemce so far is typical. I will call in tomorrow if I don't receive a response. I have nothing negative to say about anyone I have spoken with, nor any service they provide (since I haven't received any service yet). This rating is because I feel out of the loop, there is no communication, and I am astounded they did not provide more than half a days notice for the start of classes (if that is so the case). And if classes haven't started, a simple email reply would put your customer at ease. Like I said at the begining, this could be COVID related. Things are crazy right now. It is what it is. This place is redicioulas and will give you a run for your money. It's a rip off and fake services to take your money and if you don't do exactly what Peter wants and give him your 250 bucks to put in his pocket right then and there he will seriously do anything to make things hard for you. It's not worth it. If you need your DL and are from out of state all you have to do is print off a change of resideny from from your previous state and take it to the dmv in California and have them fill it out and fax it to your old state so the will release any hold ups and you will be able to get your DL in California. I did their online defensive driving course because living in New York my car insurance doubled compared to what it was in Connecticut so the 10% off helps, ha.Found a LivingSocial deal so it was $20 instead of $40 ($5 cheaper than what Geico was offering via their partner - except I had to do the legwork when getting my certificate...big deal.)The course itself is self-paced, they give you a month to do it. All you do is read the lesson/watch the videos and take the test after you run out the timer on each lesson. Not earthshattering info by any means - I had driver's ed flashbacks to when I waa 16.The annoying part were the constant security checks. The "answer the secret question" ones that randomly popped up weren't bad. (I have dual monitors and kept the lesson window on a separate screen.) Towards the end it got to the point where I had to call in and answer a security question multiple times per lesson which was irritating, and then at least once per lesson as soon as I hung up it would flash an on-screen verification question too. I realize the target audience for this course is people who are crappy drivers and mandated by the DMV to take the class to knock four points off their license, but good grief it was like being treated like a punk-ass teenager to make sure you were doing the work.At least I don't have to do this for another three years. Compare to other places this one is more affordable and the person who runs it is very understanding if payments can't be made. The instructors are good. Parking does suck but you can park across. The group instructor that i had she wasn't very consistent most of the time it was another instructor teaching the class.. The place is very old and run down but honestly your just there to get your *ish together and over. It was an experience for me for sure and i dont have any plans on returning. .. Read Less
