I seriously regret choosing this driving school. You definitely get what you pay for with their rock bottom rates. My instructor, Heather, was unbelievably unhelpful and clearly should not be in a position to teach anyone how to drive. She was unprepared, was always rude, and seemed annoyed whenever I asked questions. It's no surprise to see similar complaints in other reviews. This place needs to seriously reconsider who they have representing their business. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else! Update: Interesting how your entire response avoids addressing the actual issue: the attitude and professionalism. Failing a test wouldn’t magically make someone rude, dismissive, or unprepared. Nobody expected coaching during the exam — that’s a nice speech, but completely irrelevant to the review. The complaint was about how Heather conducted herself overall. If multiple people are saying the same thing, maybe the problem isn’t everyone else. And comparing a driving examiner to a math teacher is definitely… creative. I initially chose 1st drive to take my driver’s test because of their overall positive reviews and that it was the cheapest in the area. After taking my test today, it’s safe to say you definitely get what you pay for. I drove their black Kia and at several points during the test the car made loud clanking/clunking sounds and seemed to struggle occasionally. Not only did this affect the way the car drove, it also really put me on edge as I was nervous there was a serious issue with the car that may lead to a stressful and even dangerous situation. As you can imagine, for a new driver in an unfamiliar car that really threw me off. Heather started off polite and patient, but once we returned to the office she began to have an attitude while explaining what I could work on in the future, to the point that my family and other test takers in the lobby were discussing her attitude when I left. Later, I called to clarify some things regarding my test as it wasn’t throughly explained and also to express concerns regarding the car. The woman who answered was kinda and explained that this was the first they’d heard that the car had any issues and that she’d have the test Heather call me to discuss it. When she called back I asked questions regarding the test, she was polite, but as I expressed concerns for the car she once again took an attitude. She explained that they had plans to no longer test in that car as it has a CV joint issue, but that it doesn’t affect the driving and that that’s an issue for the owner as she’s only on charge of her own car….. as someone who just drove that car I’d say that it does affect the driving and more so effects the new driver in an unfamiliar car that’s clanking and clunking down the road. I ultimately decided to cancel my retest as I felt that the test administrator was often rude, struggled to clearly explain the laws, and they felt that a car with an ongoing issues is safe and acceptable for a new driver to test in. If you decide to go with them I’d highly recommend testing in your own vehicle and to have patience for rudeness should you need feedback or have questions/concerns. Read Less

We had a great experience with 1st Drive. They picked my son up from school, let him drive the hours he needed, and then dropped him off at home afterward. It was a huge help. The driver developed a good rapport with my son so he felt comfortable driving alone with him repeatedly. Would definitely recommend them! Read Less

All three of my kids have gone through their 6 hour behind the wheel program and have found the experience educational and enjoyable. They are very supportive and friendly. Worst experience ever!! Twice!! I highly recommend going somewhere else. They over react on every little thing. I had reservations going to this place again! First time he failed my son because he over reacted to a change lane situation. I then take him to another place and he of course passes with flying colors. I schedule another appiontment for my second son with hesitation, hoping it was just that one time but Nooo...He over reacted again and failed right at the beginning. Both of my kids are all good defensive drivers none of them have been in any accident of their cause. I have 3 that are drives and 2 to go. This is the worst place to take anybody for a driving test.
