I am so disappointed in the entire experience I have had at MasterDrive. I initially called to get info for my son and daughter, and talked at length about the programs offered and what would best for my kids. I directly said I was interested in MasterDrive specifically because they have their own cars available since my kids don’t have one yet and offer extra skills classes. Kelli recommended my son have an “evaluation” by the owner since he is a little older than the traditional student. I agreed, paid a $50 fee and set the appointment for December 2nd at 9AM. I confirmed with her the time and location (Vickers). The day of the appointment we arrived and no one was there. I called the number and the man that answered said he didn’t have an appointment on the books for me AND I was in the wrong location anyway. I explained my convo with Kelli, he transferred me to her and she explained she “forgot to confirm with the owner and he is at another appointment.” And that I was supposed to be at another location anyway. I told her I had confirmed everything with her, and that I was on a real time crunch. She re-set the evaluation for December 9th and got the correct location. Mistakes happen, I figured and would not complain if that was the only issue. The evaluation was fine other than I do not believe it should cost $50 to have a 20 minute conversation about what MasterDrive can do for him, which is really what it was, with Mike (the owner, I may have gotten name wrong) checking reflexes as well. It should be part of the over $1k cost of the program in my opinion. Regardless, he recommended an all day camp for my older son, and I also have a 16 year old daughter, so I signed them both up for the camp on the same day. At this point I have paid $1,845.00. At the time of the evaluation, I again reiterated that I was using MasterDrive BECAUSE they provide learning cars, as we don’t have a car for them yet. No one said differently and so we planned for both kids to attend the camp on Dec. 21. Last week I received a confirmation email and it says both kids will need their own vehicle and can’t share for the camp. I emailed Kelli asking about it, and she confirms we are supposed to have our own vehicles. I tell her I was under the impression that they would be using MD cars, and we don’t have cars for the kids, and that I even told her directly this is why I chose MD and was never corrected. She offered to reschedule, which doesn’t help when we don’t have a car. I asked for a refund, and that communication has been terrible as well. The communication and “customer service” has been so bad, and after asking for a refund, I am told “refund has been requested, I don’t know when checks will be mailed.” I do not understand how one person in a small organization cannot communicate with the other to give some kind of eta on my refund. It is a large sum of money and frankly I am writing this review in hopes that SOMEONE will communicate better and help me know I am being refunded. Right now I feel like I have been stolen from. I will update my review once I know if I am actually getting a refund or if I have to “fight” for it. I would definitely NOT recommend MasterDrive. Read Less
