My instructor, Mr. Keith, was extremely knowledgeable, patient, relatable, and very, very calming. He was perfect. My son went to Barber’s driving school last January for the 30 hour class and just did a 6 hour on road driving lesson this February. Class instructors were excellent. Driving instructor Mr Keith was excellent. Mr Keith was always on time during the appointed hours for the driving lessons. After the 6 hour driving lessons(2 hours each day X 3 days), my son felt comfortable and more confident driving in our car. My son now drives every weekend, and when I pick him up from school. As a parent, I am so appreciative of this opportunity for my daughter. I did not feel comfortable with her learning to drive on these large roads and interstate here in Columbus, I wanted her to have formal instruction founded on a solid and professional driving/instructing background. We found all of this at Barber's. My daughter was in a safe environment and learned the 'correct way' to drive; our laws and regulations, complete with instruction on oil and tire changing plus basic mechanics. I am confident now that my baby is good to go and can handle the many situations that can arise behind the wheel, namely other drivers who exercise their own version of skill seemingly not based on any written law. If I could give Barbers 10 stars, I would! They taught me everything I need to know and then some. Mr. Eric was the best! He was very attentive, always kept me on track. I never thought I could ever weave through cones but I did just that, thanks to Eric! I was very nervous about my road test but after everything that Eric and the class sessions taught me, I wasn't nervous anymore and I actually started to like driving. My daughter wanted to take her driver's educations through Barber's. At first I was hesitant, I wanted to teach her, but she was not going to have that. I tried to get her to ride the riding lawn mower in the yard but she said no. I tried to get her to let me take her to empty parking lot she said not. So once she got her learner's permit, I called Barber's to get her schedule for her 6 hours driving time. When the Instructor (Keith) came out to our house to pick her up for the first time I was scared for him to be in the car with her. I explained she had not interest in learning to drive and had not driven the riding lawn mower. He said she would be fine. Well after two hours of driving with him, they returned and my daughter was beaming with excitement. He boosted her self esteem so much that my daughter is constantly asking me if I need to go anywhere so she can drive. She did her entire 6 hours with Keith and I am one happy Mommy.
