I highly recommend Ms. Robbie to anyone looking for a driving instructor. She is extremely knowledgeable, very detailed, and truly takes pride in what she does. While she can be stern, it's because she genuinely cares about teaching her students to become safe, confident, and responsible drivers. She doesn't just teach you how to pass the road test—she teaches you the skills and mindset you'll need every time you get behind the wheel. She constantly emphasizes the importance of staying alert, being aware of your surroundings, and making safe decisions on the road. What I appreciated most was how thoroughly she explained and demonstrated every maneuver. She pays close attention to every detail, corrects mistakes immediately, and encourages good driving habits from the very beginning. This would be my 2nd round of driving lessons as a teen, a year later unfortunately. Scheduling consecutive lessons was a pain if not scheduled a month in advance, but I digress. This time around was wonderful. My instructor was Ms. Robbie Kircher. She was a stickler for awareness of surroundings and being "assertive not aggressive," which honestly opened my eyes to driving being seriously multitasking. It's all about forming proper habits of checking mirrors and blind spots, reading road signs and markings and being aware of the road system. 😀 Ultimately, driving is a language of its own. I highly recommend Ms. Robbie. She’s very stern through her teaching, which could come off as mean, but it truly is all for the greater good. I definitely needed that push. Throughout our three lessons, we practiced L/R turns, merging, signaling, accelerating, decelerating, braking, etc. I struggled with anxiety due to lack of experience and practice. I would get frustrated with myself and want to give up all together, but Ms. Robbie was very encouraging and shared stories of her other students which made me feel less alone. She also makes sure to reinforce defensive driving skills and being aware and “cognizant” as “driving is multitasking”, and there is a lot to learn. Which leads to my next point about how she made it clear that as students we are here to learn, so we shouldn’t expect ourselves to be perfect. But we have to be confident in ourselves, and not only listen to instruction, but take charge using our own judgement b/c she won’t be there for our road test or when we are actually driving on the roads in the future.
