TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE
My son signed the contract to take the lessons at $500 (seemed reasonable), the lady, who also serves as the “CPA” was polite, a change from the conversation my son had on the telephone with her (not very informative, which is why we went into the office). She said she would call in 2 weeks, turns out it was less than 10 days, Great!
We get there, my son and the instructor (who came out the building very tense and looked tired, and mean) the first session my son said the instructor kept stopping the car for him and blaming him for the car drifting (from past reviews probably needs a wheel alignment). Okay done. Second session, this instructor came out looking angry and talked to my son in the car for a good 4-5 minutes before taking off, the session ended less than 20 minutes because my son stated he yelled at him for not signaling to get over but jerked the wheel instead of correcting the wrong action. My son stated he asked the man not to yell at him and he was told to get out the car the session was over and drove him back.
When I asked the man to put it in writing since this is a business, what the reasoning for discontinuing the sessions, he refused. As we were talking and I stated, you have your customers sign documentation and as a business you should do the same for stopping the sessions, he still refused saying “his CPA” would refund the money minus the session time used. My child will not be continuing taking driving lessons from Jones Drivers Education. After picking her up from her first driving class, she was visibility upset. When I asked her what had happened, she told me how disrespectful and condescending the instructor was. At one point after making a mistake, the instructor told her that if she did that again he was going to "pull her hair and spank her." That is crossing a line and not acceptable to tell any teenage girl in any context. He also made other comments about my daughter that had nothing to do with driving. I understand that there are safety issues and peoples lives are at stake, but this was not okay.

I am really disappointed with this driving school. When I called to inquire about getting my child started (driving portion only), I was told there was no availability for the next 3.5 weeks, pushing us into August. I had no issue with the wait time but what frustrated me was that the person I spoke with couldn’t, wouldn’t or better yet refused give me a definite start date.
They make you sign a contract which is fine but who in their right mind would sign a contract and pay without even knowing when their child can begin driving? That just doesn’t make sense.
When I asked how long the contract was good for, I was told you have six months to complete the driving portion. Six months?? That’s an incredibly long time to drag out a process that should be straightforward.
On top of all that, the staff member I spoke with wasn’t helpful and couldn’t explain how they don’t already know the schedules of their instructors. She also acted as if I was bothering her by asking her legitimate questions. The lack of transparency, disorganization, and poor communication really turned me off. I’ll be looking for another driving school.

I wholly recommend the Basic Motorcycle Safety Course. I took the course 4 months ago, with never to have driven a motorcycle before. Mr. Jose and his assistant were very patient and knowledgeable. Plus, they made it very fun. I wanted to give up a couple times while taking the course, but they encouraged me to complete the course, win, lose, or draw... Now I'm a brand new 50 year old licensed motorcycle driver... Thank you Mr. Jose.

Imagine how it feels to have someone taken from you by a car accident. It wasn't their fault. The accident was not caused by reckless driving, driving under the influence, texting, etc. Their tire ran off the road on an old road in Harlem. That's all. And for the instructors to use their death as some sort of "lesson" during class is disgusting. Its extremely disrespectful to the minor and their family.

Let me start off by saying that if I could give this place zero stars, I would. First I called to find out what dates and how much the class would be. Mr. Jones himself answered the phone and stated it would be on February 2nd. When I went to go in and pay and stated that I would like to register for the February 2nd class, he had a major attitude and said well there's only a class on February 9th not the second and I said that's fine. Then while I'm on my shift in the ER, I get multiple calls stating that I was correct and they were wrong, class was on February 2nd. I said that's fine. When I arrive to class, I'm exactly 7 mins late, Mr. jones has a big time attitude at the door stating I'm late and going on and complaining. I apologize several times , (since I came from atl after a 11-11:30 pm ER shift, so got home after 1:30am, )and class starts. As I'm sitting and watching the video, he asks me have I answered the questions in the book, I replied I did (I didn't realize we were allowed to right in the book because he didn't tell me) and he goes on and says this isn't going to work out. I'm going to give you your money back. Why for some reason this man had a problem with me, I have no idea. But save your money against this guy and his business and go somewhere else. He's rude and horrible and thinks he can treat someone any way he wants to. I ask myself did you treat me this way because I'm Indian? I have no idea but horrible horrible man.

Basic Motorcycle Riding Course is definitely worth it. I highly recommend for anyone wanting to learn proper riding and not to forget getting a waiver for motorcycle after successful completion.

Before I went to Jones driver education school I had never driven anything before, I am 17 and I took the Motorcycle safety program, I was extremely satisfied with the customer service and the coaches/instructors of the course, Mr. Dennison is a great instructor and Mr. Jones was great as well I had an amazing time taking the course it was fun and informative, if you have a teenager that has never driven before or you just want to take the course to learn about things you might not already know I would highly recommend the JDE courses, I had such a great time I will be going back to take the car driving course and get a regular drivers license for a car as well HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

PLEASE DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO THE BAD REVIEWS! I was reading the other reviews and I was a little skeptical of taking my daughter to this place (considering that she has never driven a day in her life). I am so glad that we took her there! This was the best student driving experience for her and I. Mr. Jones gave me tips himself on how I (the super nervous dad) can practice driving effectively with my daughter. THANK YOU MR. JONES my daughter's confidence is through the roof!

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Owner and staff have no basic concept of customer service or basic mannerism any child should know. Mr. Jones is deceptive in his practices and he won't hesitate to screw customers over. He has even been recorded getting physical with customers while confronting them. This behavior isn't new for him. His self centered attitude and condescending remarks are well known in the local driver education community. He has taught at other driving schools in the area, but couldn't hold employment with them and had to resort to starting his own school. Ask around. Do yourself a favor and pass on this school. There are many schools in the area that will treat you with courtesy and respect rather than an inconvenience.

Was extremely satisfied with the service received here! Instructors were EXACTLY what the younger generation needs; they were patient and did not pull out any stops with my girls! My 2 daughters took this course at the same time and learned some things here that they apparently "didn't know". Thanks again for the superior service! My girls are now both legal drivers & I couldn't be happier! The roads can be scary and it's very important that our younger generation be well informed; they get that from me daily, but it also helped to hear it from someone other than "Mommy" b/c "we" don't know what "we're" talking about! :-)

I have been driving for two years now and I can say that Jones Driver Education is one of the best things I have done for my driving. I participated in the 30-6 Instruction Certificate Program during the summer two years ago. Although I was not extremely enthusiastic about sitting through the classes, I can say with confidence that what I learned has made me a safer, better driver. I began with little idea of how to work a car and I left with knowledge, notes, and 6 hours of driving experience. Each drive, the instructor would explain what I did well and what I need to work on. Each instructor was able to point out more than my parents or others could and because of that I still remember to this day very important skills I was taught- skills that have helped me remain accident free.
Jones Driver Education has never once made driving into a joke. They are strict about safety and maintaining all the rules of the road.
I highly recommend!

Mr Jones has an incredible sense of humour! My lessons were always fun and filled with laughter. He was also very very patient . I think he is the best driving teacher there could ever be! My daughter took one 4-hour class. She says he belittled the students. She asked for an explanation to a quiz question and he laughed. Later, he said, "Don't be like this girl and read too much into the questions." She says he used the word "dumb" when referring to students answering questions incorrectly.I confronted him the following day. I asked for a new instructor and he offered a refund. He said he'd give me a refund for the amount minus the time he spent teaching and a $25 refund fee. I went to shake his hand and he said, "I don't have to shake your hand." I said, "I'm not surprised." and walked out. He replied, "I'm not surprised either." I couldn't believe how utterly rude this man was.My son went here a couple of years ago, and confirmed that Mr. Jones was very rude, especially to kids who struggled. My son said the driving practice and test were true tests of emotional control and will power because Mr. Jones made him feel so inadequate and nervous.

Outstanding program, extremely flexible about scheduling drive time. They called me repeatedly to get all the sessions done. They worked with my weird schedule and were very accommodating on all fronts. The instructors are strict but kind to the nervous students and busy parents. Every one of my kids will attend this school before getting out on the open road!

But then the day of the class he cancels because someone dropped out and he doesn't have enough signed up to pay the instructor. So now I have to reschedule and not able to for another 6 weeks. There goes my summer of riding my new bike. My loss. He pockets and I get nothing. Shady practice.

Scheduling appointments for driving lessons is atrocious! Jones Drivers Education do not have a calendar to schedule its students dates and appointment times. You are under their mercy and they schedule their client's driving lessons at their own convenience! I made the suggestion of a calendar to make them more organized regarding the scheduling of their client's driving lessons; it was met with indifference and condescension, probably because they already got my $300.00! I have 3 kids who were potential students, but with my bad experience with Jones Drivers Education, they are getting their drivers education elsewhere. I will never recommend JDE to my family and friends.

This place was terrible. I called to confirm that I would be attending a class and they decided not to hold it but failed to tell me that they had decided not to hold it so when I showed up they just sat there with stupid looks on their face and told me that since I hadn't come by in person they assumed I wasn't going to come and they didn't hold the class. When I tried to reschedule they were unhelpful and unprofessional and refused to hold the class. If you are looking for a driving school, trust me when I say you should look elsewhere because this place is just full of unprofessional idiots.

DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR BUSINESS!This company demonstrated poor organization and disrespectful customer service. They didn't return phone calls. They wouldn't schedule driving sessions more than a week out. Their office staff was rude and condescending on the phone and in person. I paid for classroom sessions and 6 hours behind the wheel in April... It is the beginning of June and I am still struggling to schedule her last hour driving lesson and they won't even discuss scheduling her test after that.When I shared with the owner that I was frustrated with the process of scheduling and poor customer service he became very defensive and disrespectful to me over the phone. I am regretting my decision to use this company at all!

Basic Motorcycle Riding Course is definitely worth it. I highly recommend for anyone wanting to learn proper riding and not to forget getting a waiver for motorcycle after successful completion.

Before I went to Jones driver education school I had never driven anything before, I am 17 and I took the Motorcycle safety program, I was extremely satisfied with the customer service and the coaches/instructors of the course, Mr. Dennison is a great instructor and Mr. Jones was great as well I had an amazing time taking the course it was fun and informative, if you have a teenager that has never driven before or you just want to take the course to learn about things you might not already know I would highly recommend the JDE courses, I had such a great time I will be going back to take the car driving course and get a regular drivers license for a car as well HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This company is very rude and unprofessional. They do not call you for the driving lesson part, then when you call them they get rude. Would not recommend to anyone.

PLEASE DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO THE BAD REVIEWS! I was reading the other reviews and I was a little skeptical of taking my daughter to this place (considering that she has never driven a day in her life). I am so glad that we took her there! This was the best student driving experience for her and I. Mr. Jones gave me tips himself on how I (the super nervous dad) can practice driving effectively with my daughter. THANK YOU MR. JONES my daughter's confidence is through the roof!

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Owner and staff have no basic concept of customer service or basic mannerism any child should know. Mr. Jones is deceptive in his practices and he won't hesitate to screw customers over. He has even been recorded getting physical with customers while confronting them. This behavior isn't new for him. His self centered attitude and condescending remarks are well known in the local driver education community. He has taught at other driving schools in the area, but couldn't hold employment with them and had to resort to starting his own school. Ask around. Do yourself a favor and pass on this school. There are many schools in the area that will treat you with courtesy and respect rather than an inconvenience.

Was extremely satisfied with the service received here! Instructors were EXACTLY what the younger generation needs; they were patient and did not pull out any stops with my girls! My 2 daughters took this course at the same time and learned some things here that they apparently "didn't know". Thanks again for the superior service! My girls are now both legal drivers & I couldn't be happier! The roads can be scary and it's very important that our younger generation be well informed; they get that from me daily, but it also helped to hear it from someone other than "Mommy" b/c "we" don't know what "we're" talking about! :-)

I have been driving for two years now and I can say that Jones Driver Education is one of the best things I have done for my driving. I participated in the 30-6 Instruction Certificate Program during the summer two years ago. Although I was not extremely enthusiastic about sitting through the classes, I can say with confidence that what I learned has made me a safer, better driver. I began with little idea of how to work a car and I left with knowledge, notes, and 6 hours of driving experience. Each drive, the instructor would explain what I did well and what I need to work on. Each instructor was able to point out more than my parents or others could and because of that I still remember to this day very important skills I was taught- skills that have helped me remain accident free.
Jones Driver Education has never once made driving into a joke. They are strict about safety and maintaining all the rules of the road.
I highly recommend!

As he says, "he has been doing this for 10 years" but demonstrates no customer service or people skills. Your child especially would benefit better from someone who can communicate effectively with him/her. His rudeness has no place in a business like this.

Mr Jones has an incredible sense of humour! My lessons were always fun and filled with laughter. He was also very very patient . I think he is the best driving teacher there could ever be! My daughter took one 4-hour class. She says he belittled the students. She asked for an explanation to a quiz question and he laughed. Later, he said, "Don't be like this girl and read too much into the questions." She says he used the word "dumb" when referring to students answering questions incorrectly.I confronted him the following day. I asked for a new instructor and he offered a refund. He said he'd give me a refund for the amount minus the time he spent teaching and a $25 refund fee. I went to shake his hand and he said, "I don't have to shake your hand." I said, "I'm not surprised." and walked out. He replied, "I'm not surprised either." I couldn't believe how utterly rude this man was.My son went here a couple of years ago, and confirmed that Mr. Jones was very rude, especially to kids who struggled. My son said the driving practice and test were true tests of emotional control and will power because Mr. Jones made him feel so inadequate and nervous.

Outstanding program, extremely flexible about scheduling drive time. They called me repeatedly to get all the sessions done. They worked with my weird schedule and were very accommodating on all fronts. The instructors are strict but kind to the nervous students and busy parents. Every one of my kids will attend this school before getting out on the open road!

They want you to sign up for a motorcycle riders course ahead of time and tell you it is non refundable. But then the day of the class he cancels because someone dropped out and he doesn't have enough signed up to pay the instructor. So now I have to reschedule and not able to for another 6 weeks. There goes my summer of riding my new bike. My loss. He pockets and I get nothing. Shady practice.

Scheduling appointments for driving lessons is atrocious! Jones Drivers Education do not have a calendar to schedule its students dates and appointment times. You are under their mercy and they schedule their client's driving lessons at their own convenience! I made the suggestion of a calendar to make them more organized regarding the scheduling of their client's driving lessons; it was met with indifference and condescension, probably because they already got my $300.00! I have 3 kids who were potential students, but with my bad experience with Jones Drivers Education, they are getting their drivers education elsewhere. I will never recommend JDE to my family and friends.

This place was terrible. I called to confirm that I would be attending a class and they decided not to hold it but failed to tell me that they had decided not to hold it so when I showed up they just sat there with stupid looks on their face and told me that since I hadn't come by in person they assumed I wasn't going to come and they didn't hold the class. When I tried to reschedule they were unhelpful and unprofessional and refused to hold the class. If you are looking for a driving school, trust me when I say you should look elsewhere because this place is just full of unprofessional idiots.

DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR BUSINESS!This company demonstrated poor organization and disrespectful customer service. They didn't return phone calls. They wouldn't schedule driving sessions more than a week out. Their office staff was rude and condescending on the phone and in person. I paid for classroom sessions and 6 hours behind the wheel in April... It is the beginning of June and I am still struggling to schedule her last hour driving lesson and they won't even discuss scheduling her test after that.When I shared with the owner that I was frustrated with the process of scheduling and poor customer service he became very defensive and disrespectful to me over the phone. I am regretting my decision to use this company at all!
