Good school! They allow you to take your required theory course online which is an important thing to ask about when researching your CDL school. Good communication and answered my questioned proactively, very helpful and engaged overall. There was a little disparity between the inspection prep videos sent and the methodology the instructors preferred, I’d say stick to the Study Guide (excel sheet) order, not the ‘checklist’ order for your interior and exterior inspection. Instructors are invested in your success, I passed on my first attempt! Afterwards I wanted more practice in dock-style angled backing and doubles/triples, they put together a special three-day private set of lessons just for me which I think they should consider formalizing as an advanced course. Would recommend Idaho CDL!

Front start to finish, the team at Idaho CDL training was very hands on, accommodating and informative. From the onboarding process to the actual skills training, I was able to go from no experience to feeling confident behind the wheel in 6 days. I worked with Ned, Jason, Kelly and Barney who all were excellent teachers and gave me tips to improve my abilities at my own pace. I really appreciate the extra effort they put in to help me succeed. Thanks Idaho CDL training team!!

This was a perfect experience. The office staff set a good syllabus, with clearly defined deadlines. My 1st instructor Richard was a good laid back introduction. My 2nd instructor Ned was the definition of iron sharpening iron, tough but fair and set me up for success! Would recommend Idaho CDL Training for anyone.

I had no experience on driving a semi, never once backed up a trailer in my life, or what a pre trip was. I took the 4 day course and my instructors got me ready for my test by the end of day three and I passed on my first attempt. Ned, Kelly, and especially Jason truly care about you succeeding and are super patient with you. I had a great time at this school based on just the instructors I had that made that possible. Super easy/quick process to get enrolled and start training. I would definitely recommend this school.

This is definitely a top notch place to do your CDL training!! I am so happy I read the reviews and decided to Get my training done through Idaho CDL! I am also very grateful to the instructors that I was able to train with, Kelly was very patient and listened to my concerns and questions carefully. He is very by the book and broke down the pre-trip inspection very well for me to learn easily. I also enjoyed my time with Jason, Ned, and Barney!! They were wonderful instructors and taught me what I needed to know in order to be a successful commercial driver in the real world. I also want to think Danielle and the other office administrators who were very kind and answered all my questions from start to finish, and we were very organized through the whole process! Also a shout out to Marv my tester who gave me great feedback on what I was doing well and what I can work on moving forward! Thank you all for helping me to succeed! If you are reading this review and are thinking about getting a CDL, I highly recommend going through Idaho CDL in Boise, You will not regret it!

When it came time for me to test out, my nerves were getting the best of me. Harry Packwood arrives to test me and immediately put my fears at ease with his professional yet calm friendly manner that truly made all the difference.
Your commitment to safety and focus on the particular needs of the individual student is what sets your school apart from the rest.

Good school! They allow you to take your required theory course online which is an important thing to ask about when researching your CDL school. Good communication and answered my questioned proactively, very helpful and engaged overall. Front start to finish, the team at Idaho CDL training was very hands on, accommodating and informative. From the onboarding process to the actual skills training, I was able to go from no experience to feeling confident behind the wheel in 6 days. I worked with Ned, Jason, Kelly and Barney who all were excellent teachers and gave me tips to improve my abilities at my own pace. I took the 4 day course and my instructors got me ready for my test by the end of day three and I passed on my first attempt. Ned, Kelly, and especially Jason truly care about you succeeding and are super patient with you. I had a great time at this school based on just the instructors I had that made that possible. Super easy/quick process to get enrolled and start training. I would definitely recommend this school.
