I paid a lot for my son to attend this school, expecting that part of the fee was for the permit (as it is done in a school) nope. I had to pay even more money and take even more time to take him myself to get his permit. Then because he got sick he missed some days, and they told him that he couldn't miss anymore so he showed up sick (puking sick) and was sent home. Now they are saying that they are going to recommend that the state cancels the permit unless I pay for him to take an entire class again. When my son just tried talking to this man over the phone, he was yelling at him so I spoke up. He tried to say that he was going to cancel the permit, well I have checked into it and he can make a recommendation for it to be cancelled but normally that only happens if the individual with the permit has committed violations, which my son hasn't. This guy is a shake down artist from what I have just seen and heard, I do not recommend sending your teenage student there unless you want to pay ($540) for them to not get their permit through the school, sit in a class room watching videos/reading (while being talked down on), and driving very little. After that money you still have to pay the DMV and wait for your kid to take the test outside of the class you pay for. And then if your kid gets sick and they send them home, get kicked out and told they need to pay again. DO NOT PUT YOURSELF THROUGH THE HASSLE OF THIS PLACE. I wish I had checked out the reviews before wasting my money with a half-ass company, when there are better in the BloNo area

i was a student here a little while back, and it was terrible. the owners are so rude and it took so long just to SET UP a time for me to get in. terrible customer service. the driving instructor, terry, who is an older man, yelled at me constantly and always made jokes about women. (i saw someone else share their experience with this school, and said the same thing about one of the instructors.) the owners also tried to parent me one day because i forgot one of my papers in order to take my drivers test. they acted totally different around my parents, for example, when i forgot my paper, they told me and my parents that it wasnt a big deal. but once i was done with my test and my parents were at home looking for the paper i forgot, they lectured me on the importance of remembering said paper. they acted like angry parents and lost their temper. although they didn't raise their voices, they were shaking their heads and sighing and looking at me sideways. unprofessional and rude. i never had a driving instructor that i liked.
bonus complaint: i just remembered this as i was writing, but when i took my test i got marked off for something we didn't go over. (there was a mail truck stopped in the road and i couldnt go around it, so i stopped behind it.) the instructor even said that never happened during any of his tests, but marked me off for not signaling to get back on the road. i was never taught this. (still passed though cause i'm awesome)

I went to this school for my license and it was a pain. First off, I had the same driving instructor 3 out of the 4 sessions I had, which doesn't sound bad until you know why it was a pain. He would CONSTANTLY make jokes about how women can't drive and he noticeably acted differently towards the boys i would drive with vs. me. He would yell at the boys if they made mistakes, often raising his voice, one time even reaching across a boy to smack the window while telling him to check his blind spot. But if I made a mistake he would say something like "I bet you drive with your mom a lot", implying that women are bad drivers and I learned from one. He was very short tempered and was constantly upset about something. He even went off route and made me drive to his house so he could pick up his pool cues, which has to be against some rule. My mom and I personally complained to the driving school about him and they still assigned me to drive with him. On top of that, the owners were very impatient and frankly kind of rude to me. The only reason why I have any stars at all is because it was fast, and affordable. Otherwise, I would look into a different school if I were you.

We had such a fantastic experience with Michael as my homeschooled son’s driver’s ed teacher at the Marion, IL location! From day one, Michael was incredibly patient, encouraging, and easy to work with. He has a great sense of humor, which helped ease any nervousness, and made each lesson enjoyable and engaging.
My son consistently commented on how clearly Michael explained things and how much he learned from him. His calm, friendly teaching style really made a difference—Michael turned what could have been a stressful process into something my son looked forward to.
I truly can’t recommend Michael enough to anyone looking for a skilled, personable, and effective driving instructor. We’re so grateful for the confidence and knowledge he gave our son behind the wheel!

My son attended this driving school and it was fantastic! The driving instructor, Dr. Michael Grey, ranks above his peers on every relevant indicator. We could not have asked for a better driver's ed....
My son attended this driving school and it was fantastic! The driving instructor, Dr. Michael Grey, ranks above his peers on every relevant indicator. We could not have asked for a better driver's ed. course or driving instructor. He even helped the parents through this process. We are incredibly thankful.

I had a horrible experience TRYING to schedule a driving class. I called the place numerous times only to be directed to VM and noone calling me back. I expect Atleast someone to call back and tell me if they dont have slots for classes. Once when i was able to go through the call, the person who answered the call just took my contact number and hung up. I hope they improvise in customer interaction first before even trying to give the classes. I would not even give 1 star but i had to because i cant write this review without it.

My daughter had a great experience with Beth and Terry. She is very confident behind the wheel, because of the time spent with them. They actually care about the kids, not just teach them.

I had an absolute horrid experience with this terrible business! The owner Beth Reeder is SO rude to anyone that needs to cancel a driving schedule and when going driving the teacher kept grabbing the wheel and shouting at me the entire time, and if I forgot one of the many rules (which should be expected from a learning driver) she'd let me have it, which she should know is dangerous, I could never expect a horrible business like this to actually do well considering how mean and disgusting they are to their customers, and having to pay near 400$ to be shouted at and pressured into things, I DO NOT suggest using this school to teach your children how to drive, after going driving with them I don't feel any safer driving.

Update I am so disappointed with this place nobody ever called me back when they said they would and lm a client who could have brought TONS of business since I know a lot of people who would have been interested in this program. I tried to give them a real chance but all they did was waste my time I won't pay them my money .

I paid a lot for my son to attend this school, expecting that part of the fee was for the permit (as it is done in a school) nope. I had to pay even more money and take even more time to take him myself to get his permit. Then because he got sick he missed some days, and they told him that he couldn't miss anymore so he showed up sick (puking sick) and was sent home. Now they are saying that they are going to recommend that the state cancels the permit unless I pay for him to take an entire class again. I went to this school for my license and it was a pain. First off, I had the same driving instructor 3 out of the 4 sessions I had, which doesn't sound bad until you know why it was a pain. We had such a fantastic experience with Michael as my homeschooled son’s driver’s ed teacher at the Marion, IL location! From day one, Michael was incredibly patient, encouraging, and easy to work with. He has a great sense of humor, which helped ease any nervousness, and made each lesson enjoyable and engaging.

I had a horrible experience TRYING to schedule a driving class. I called the place numerous times only to be directed to VM and noone calling me back. I expect Atleast someone to call back and tell me if they dont have slots for classes.
