I had an excellent experience with Citizens Driving School at 2601 South Halsted Street, Chicago. From registration to payment, the entire process was seamless, well-organized, and hassle-free. Everything was explained clearly, making the experience smooth from start to finish.
A special and heartfelt thank you to BO, my instructor, for his patience, professionalism, and encouragement throughout my learning journey. I took a 2-hour driving lesson with him, and it made a tremendous difference in my confidence and driving skills. He helped me become familiar with Illinois driving rules, road conditions, and the expectations of the driving test in a calm and supportive manner.
What stood out the most was BO's commitment beyond the lessons themselves. He guided me through the registration process and continued to assist me even on the day of my driving test. Thanks to his excellent instruction and preparation, I passed my driving test on my very first attempt with ease.
Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Citizens Driving School to anyone looking for professional instruction, a streamlined process, and instructors who genuinely care about their students' success. Thank you, BO, and the entire team for making this such a positive experience!

As I had not driven a car since I was a teenager (over 30 years ago 🫣), I purchased the "Confidence Builder" package, which was the best decision I ever made, especially as an older driver. The package included 10 hours of instruction over 5 weeks (2 hours per session) and use of the school's vehicle for my driving test. The great part about it, too, was that you paid ahead of each session, as opposed to all at once, giving you an opportunity to change your mind if you're not satisfied after the first lesson. Thankfully, I didn't have that concern, as my instructor, Ben, was awesome.
Ben was very patient and encouraging the entire time, and even when I made mistakes, he offered gentle correction and tips for improving. The routes I drove prepared me very well for the "big test," and two days before I took the test, we went through the test route twice. June 9th, I took my test and PASSED! 🪪
I highly recommend CDS for any new driver, and ask for Ben if you can! 🚗💨

Very convenient and easy!! Helped me with the entire end to end process within 2 days, Bo was a great instructor and the entire process was seamless! They helped me with road test prep and the helped book the slot and complete the road test as well, would definitely recommend!

0 stars(even this 1 star is a waste of time). I was first asked to send my learners permit over text to take a lesson, which I already found a little weird. I sent my permit anyway. Then I received a message from a different number, saying they're the driving school, and asked me to call them back.
And then again, I received a new message from yet another number asking me to pay before the class, using a zelle number which they sent in a picture. AGAIN. And they call me FROM YET ANOTHER PHONE NUMBER. Mind you, this was 4 phone numbers at this point, claiming to be the same driving school.
I asked if I could pay upfront at the school, before the lesson started, because getting calls and texts from 4 different phone numbers and being asked to pay over Zelle to someone called "Never late inc" made me a little cautious. And even at this point, they had my learners permit details with them, I was going to choose to go ahead and take a lesson. The lady said I had to pay that very instant, and when I told her it seems a little suspicious that they would do this, I GOT YELLED AT by this lady. I was trying to explain to her that I would feel more comfortable paying BEFORE the lesson, upfront. She never gave me the chance to speak.
If I have questions, as someone who's spending money, I have a right to ask them. In an age where people get scammed left and right, I think being a little careful is natural. Yelling THIS IS POLICY 100 times did not answer any of my questions. If you cannot answer questions, you shouldn't be in a business where you deal with people at all. Or may be employ people who can speak better.

Typing this literally minutes after clearing my driving test, I have purchased 1 hr combo with road test, man I believe it’s worth every penny I paid. Most importantly I liked the instructor Mr.Bo he is calmn and great at correcting minor mistakes you make, which obviously helped in making me a better driver.
Location of DMV we went - South Illinois DMV
Vechile used Honda Fit 2015
Pro’s -
-Price per class is 35 bucks so you can asses yourself and take how many ever classes you want.
-They have been very kind by accommodating me for a road test and an hour driving at a really short notice (I called them yesterday for doing a 1 hr practice driving and road test immediately after that)
- pick up and drop is offered within 2/3 miles of their office radius so if you live far you can always request them to drop you or pick you up by halsted orange line.

-nothing that’ made me concern

I took few lessons from citizens Driving School. They helped me get my drivers licence. Instructor Bo is patient while teaching. He prepares you very well for the road test.

I had an excellent experience with Citizens Driving School at 2601 South Halsted Street, Chicago. From registration to payment, the entire process was seamless, well-organized, and hassle-free. Everything was explained clearly, making the experience smooth from start to finish.
A special and heartfelt thank you to BO, my instructor, for his patience, professionalism, and encouragement throughout my learning journey.
