I can’t thank Lupe, Pedro, and Angel enough for everything they did to help me earn my Class A CDL. I passed my CDL exam today, and it’s because of their patience, knowledge, and dedication.
Each instructor took the time to explain everything clearly, answered every question, and made sure I was confident behind the wheel and during the pre-trip inspection. They genuinely care about their students and want to see everyone succeed.
If you’re looking for a trucking school with instructors who are professional, experienced, and truly invested in your success, I highly recommend this school. Thank you, Lupe, Pedro, and Angel, for believing in me and helping me achieve this milestone. I truly appreciate everything you did!

Good school to get your cdl, passed everything first try. The instructors are all good and knowledgeable with many years of experience as actual truck drivers.
Huge shoutout to Pedro who helped me a lot on the road and the skills test with his step by step video and just overall a chill guy, best instructor by far. Lupe also very good and has a detailed must watch pre trip video that will allow you to pass first try.
Just put in the time and you will pass easily.

I graduated on April 3, 2026 Thank you all sooooo much, this was an easy experience! Literally the best CDL school in Chicago! Phillip, Angelika, and Mike are amazing! From Lupe’s pre-trip classes to Angel And Pedro’s teachings in the Yard! I will never forget this team!
They’ll also point you in the right direction for grants and funding to cover classes!

I had a very good experience at Mid-City Truck Driving Academy. The instructors were nice, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Angel and Lupe helped me a lot with the pre-trip inspection and made sure I understood everything.
Even though I use a wheelchair, the school was very accommodating and supported me through the training. My exam went smoothly, and I felt well prepared.
I would definitely recommend Mid-City Truck Driving Academy to other students.

Gaby is the best of the best front desk staff, she is so helpful and very kind. Chris & Hubert are awesome helping you to the end of your journey and even assisting you if you fail your text until you pass. The instructors at the yard are very knowledgeable and know how to properly teach you and correct your mistakes. Overall everything they promised me they delivered. Hand down I wouldn't choose any other school if I did it again. You will also get a good laugh from Philip this man is hilarious have to come see him.

I did a lot of research when it came to choosing a CDL driving school. I also visited a couple of them, but Midcity seemed to be more with helping a student instead of seeing them as potential dollar signs. They work with your schedule pertaining to an individuals busy life, and teach you everything you need to know to pass the states exam, written, pre-trip, and driving. I passed all the test in one shot and I have no Truck Driving Experience whatsoever but with my determination and studying hard everyday it was possible.

Mid-City is a excellent driving school to get a CDL. I would recommend anyone to sign up and join. It's way better than that one cdl driving school down the street that takes your information and calls you non-stop at all time of the day. I wasn't forced to join Mid-City, I choose to join them because there were more lenient with my schedule and very helpful.

I had a very good experience at Mid-City Truck Driving Academy. The instructors were nice, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Angel and Lupe helped me a lot with the pre-trip inspection and made sure I understood everything.
