Cdl School is over crowded and a wreck with organization , they feed you so much bull crap about how you can get in and out within 3 to 4 weeks , The place was overcrowded there they have 4 operational trucks , 1 truck for pretrip and around 60 to 70 students, I went there for 2 months every day trying to get drive time and learn how to drive a manual vehicle. The mentality there is first come first serve The instructors are rude a Have 0 patience with student who have never touched a manual vehicle Waste of time and money , I recommend finding a different school Read Less

Great instructors! Great experience! I would highly recommend Advantage Driver Training to everyone. I learned a lot more than how to pass the test and obtain my CDL. Very well run. Very professional and still had fun!!!Everyone did a great job in-spite of Covid restrictions. I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from these fine folks. Thank you Advantage Driver Training for helping me start a new career!!!! The student to instructor ratio was 5 to 1! Compared to college or K-12 where its 25-30 (or more) I thought it was awesome! Everyone always took time to answer my questions and made sure I understood what I needed. All the instructors are very knowledgeable, and each brings a different perspective to the table. You will get hands on training here. They set you up for success. I went from knowing nothing about a truck when I started this school to being able to describe every part and licensed to drive it in six short weeks. This is an amazing school run by amazing people. In an industry full of fly-by-night operations, Advantage Truck Driving School is a breath of fresh air. With a graduation rate of 100 percent, it's hard to criticize any of their training processes. Jeff, the owner, is as hands on as you can get. He spent an entire day outside teaching me parallel parking techniques while we were getting hit by a blizzard. All of his instructors are amazing and very experienced. This school is... owned operated and run by career truck drivers. They don't give up on anyone. No matter how long it takes, they will teach you and get you to pass your cdl tests and more importantly become a safe driver. Jeff assigned me to work with an instructor named Dave. This guy has a ton of experience and prepares you for every situation you will encounter. They have one instructor Mike, who is an expert on the pre trip inspection. Mike will teach you and test you until you actually understand what you're doing, not just learning how to pass the test. I can't say enough good things about advantage. Their competitors are a joke. The best part is their patience. When I first started I felt bad for the trucks with the beating they were taking. Jeff didn't think twice about it. If something broke it was repaired within hours not days and they have so many trucks and trailers that it's not a problem if one is in for repair. I drove 75 miles each way for 5 weeks when I could have gone to a school down the street from my house and it was worth the extra effort. Passed my CDL test in about 5 weeks and it's because of the great instructors and owner. They make sure you know your stuff and will not quit on you if you are behind or not grasping something. I would give them a zero star if I could b.c they can't maneuver a curve without them having to clear a whole side street and ruin business for the area hotels that have had Professional drivers park their for 6 to 7 years and now they have this school that's been open now for how long what like 6 months. Pat, Jason, Sarah, Tom (that is the only instructors I had) all are the epic instructions. Very good class to take to get a class A CDL. The instructions will gave you 1 on 1 if you need it. They take the time to tech you how to drive. I am a graduate of ADT almost five years...about three years with Schneider. ...kept my nose clean and made no mistakes (yeah right)....now in a day cab with different company making some good bucks, home every night. If you're like me...reinventing your self, or making your first career decision....you were very wise choosing ADT. I enjoy being a graduate that when ever I'm driving I55 and go past the school. When I can (if something is running beside me I won't...safety ...is the key out there) I always toot my my air horns. I remember my instructor said, "Grads honk their horns all day driving by." I remember thinking what an honor that would be. Didn't see myself making it. But Steve and ADT and myself made it happen. Fantastic school. Works at the students pace. I'm in my 4th week and can not recomend this school enough. The instructors take the time with every student to make sure you will be a safe and knowledgable driver when you leave. If you need 4 weeks, 6 weeks, 8 weeks to get the skills and knowledge down, they take the time to get you ready. If you're on the fence about attending. Get the hell off it. You will not regret it.
