The instructors are rude, negligent, and unacceptably poor at working with teens. From my experience, they made me feel unsafe and nervous to make mistakes. They were verbally and emotionally abusive, saying that I was "incompetent" and "slow minded" Not to mention their constant grunting and huffing in disapproval. Sometimes I would get so scared and nervous Id shake at the wheel and they would batter me about needing to relax. Shouldn't have had to find myself crying after every lesson. I would never wish this place upon anyone.

After a problem with Ed's Driving School and dealing with a very unprofessional staff I decided to look else where to complete my sons lessons.
Palos Driving School was very helpful. Great people to deal with and saved me a ton of stress. I am grateful to them for turning a very negative situation into a positive one.

Bad school, the instructors sit on there phone the whole class while the class is supposed to be working, but nobody’s is actually reading. All 4 drives are the same thing, they don’t up your level as your go. I wouldn’t recommend, top driver is worth spending more on to learn!

I have never been more confident and comfortable driving than with Tom. Tom is an experienced driver. He went over everything I should know for my drivers test and helped me improve on the areas where I needed work. He was always on time to pick me up and was very aware of everything I did and celebrated me when I improved and did a great job. I definitely recommend having Tom as your instructor. Thank you for being my driving instructor! License, here I come!

My experience with this school happened earlier this year. I have to say all the man did was yell and tell me how I needed “aaaalot alllooot allllotalllllot” of extra driving. He was very discouraging...
My experience with this school happened earlier this year. I have to say all the man did was yell and tell me how I needed “aaaalot alllooot allllotalllllot” of extra driving. He was very discouraging and he yelled so loud in my ear it was so distracting. He loved saying how he has done this for so many years and never seen a driver like me. So I figured he was saying that so I can buy a large driving package (which he mentioned at the end) because I went on to a different driving school and they were so nice and calm and they said I did great the very next week. But he huffed and puffed sooooo much. At stop signs he said don’t move until I tell you so at a 4 way stop I did just that and he said ma’am what are you waiting for and I said you said not to move until you said go. And then he took a call on his cell phone! But you live and you learn! And I learned not to go back there!

I took the 6 hour classroom for 18-20 year olds with Tom. I then got my permit and took 6 hours of behind the wheel with him as well. He was stern with me when I made mistakes, which I believe necessary when learning, but not outright aggressive.Despite the other reviews he was patient with me and offered me solid advice and encouragement. I think we got along well. He helped relieve my anxiety of driving drastically. In addition to this he believed I was ready for the road test at the DMV. He took me there himself for my 4th and final session, and allowed me to use his car for the test. We ran into a problem at the DMV with paperwork, but we managed to get it fixed quickly and take the test. Thankfully I was able to pass and get my license due to his assistance. Thanks again Tom!

Such a great experience for my son! He got into the car with Instructor Tom a little nervous and came back 2 hours later a very confident driver. He's been driving almost a year now and still quotes Tom's inspirational tricks of the road. Can't recommend Tom and Palos Driving School of Riverside highly enough. Very competitively priced and convenient door-to-door pick up service too.

The instructors are rude, negligent, and unacceptably poor at working with teens. From my experience, they made me feel unsafe and nervous to make mistakes. They were verbally and emotionally abusive, saying that I was "incompetent" and "slow minded" Not to mention their constant grunting and huffing in disapproval. Sometimes I would get so scared and nervous Id shake at the wheel and they would batter me about needing to relax. Shouldn't have had to find myself crying after every lesson. Bad school, the instructors sit on there phone the whole class while the class is supposed to be working, but nobody’s is actually reading. All 4 drives are the same thing, they don’t up your level as your go. I wouldn’t recommend, top driver is worth spending more on to learn!

I have never been more confident and comfortable driving than with Tom. Tom is an experienced driver. He went over everything I should know for my drivers test and helped me improve on the areas where I needed work. He was always on time to pick me up and was very aware of everything I did and celebrated me when I improved and did a great job. I definitely recommend having Tom as your instructor. Thank you for being my driving instructor! License, here I come!

My experience with this school happened earlier this year. I have to say all the man did was yell and tell me how I needed “aaaalot alllooot allllotalllllot” of extra driving. He was very discouraging and he yelled so loud in my ear it was so distracting. He loved saying how he has done this for so many years and never seen a driver like me.
