I never leave reviews. But this deserves 0 stars.
The instructor was very mean and not even smiling as if he is full of stress that he wants you to feel his shit too. However I tried be cheerful despite his grumpy face. I told him twice that I never drove a car and he was like “Yeah yeah! You told me that five times!!” Very passive aggressive attitude. And when the red light is on, I couldn’t see where’s the white line (due to my height and the seat he didn't tell me to adjust) or where do I stop because I don’t know? “I never drove a car.” He then started yelling at me. I’m in shocked when he yelled. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. May BAD KARMA goes to this type of people.

Highly recommend A Adams Driving School! If you are looking for an instructor who will actually care about your child's success and safety, ask for Halina. She has been absolutely wonderful with my son. She always keeps us in the loop and makes coordination completely seamless. She is genuinely a wonderful person and does an excellent job. We couldn't be happier with the experience and would recommend her to anyone in the Arlington Heights/Wauconda area in a heartbeat!

Editing my original review: I was able to get in contact with someone who was able to help us. That said, the people at the Wauconda office could have done this months ago.
Original review: Apparently this place just likes to take your money and not provide service. My daughter went through their instruction program just fine enough to get her permit, but when it came to the actual driving instruction part, they kept giving us the runaround. It's been three months since she's had her permit and they keep making excuses why they can't do the actual driving part.

Apparently they think it's fine to ignore signs and park blocking charging stations. I wouldn't want someone who can't do what a sign says to teach my kids to drive.

I went to Adam’s driving school and it was not the best experience. We had a 10 minute break during class, while that happened Dan the teacher would leave and go on a smoke break, when he came back the whole room would stink. Dan in the classroom would often yell at us, and force us to answer questions he had never taught us, if we answered and were wrong he would hit the white board and try to scare us. It was not the worst experience, but I’d say it could’ve been better.

Difficult to get appointment. Instructor's car was filthy, my daughter had no place to put her purse down. Pedantic instruction, did not answer my daughter's questions, stopped the car frequently and made her read during behind the wheel training, pressured her to make the left turn when she did not feel safe to do so. Switched to Top Driver school that was easier to schedule and instructor that arrived in a clean car, very good instruction. She passed the license test after 3 hrs of instruction with Top Driver.

Darnell Howard is the BEST instructor and the Adams school of Driving is TOPSs as well. He taught our daughter; made the experience enjoyable, educational and fun. This was accomplished while teaching her the rules of the road to be a safe driver. I recommend ADAMS and Darnell to everyone !!!!

Absolutely would not recommend. I was just cut off by one of their drivers on Grand Ave in Gurnee. Is this what they're teaching in driver's ed? No wonder there are so many accidents in Lake County!

Our group is sponsoring a 32 year old foreign student obtaining his Masters degree-he had driven in his country for 10 years. He had his permit and we had taken him driving and wanted a professional to go over the rules of the road and take him for his driving test. We paid in advance for two 90 minute lessons - thinking that one would be enough and the second would take him for the test. The first lesson was great. They insisted on the second lesson which was the exact same as the first. Then they insisted on a third lesson-which would not include taking him to the DMV--so two more 90 minute lessons...we thought that was over kill. They said it was because he was from a country where they drive on the other side of the road. That is like saying when one travels to Ireland or England, they should have three 90 minute driving lessons to rent a car. One lesson to review the rules of the road should have been enough and the second I could live with - but the third was taking advantage--that did not even include taking him for the test. Funniest part-another foreign student took him for his driving test and he got his license in less than an hour. Shows me that I wasted my money on the second lesson and glad that I did not spend any more.

Alot of my friends referred me to Adams because of thier long standing relationship in our community and have always had a great program. I have to say that our daughters instructor was helpful in so many ways, took time to answer any questions we had about her driving. Altogether was a great experience and I am now one of the many people referring Adams to all of you.

The instructor was very mean and not even smiling as if he is full of stress that he wants you to feel his shit too. However I tried be cheerful despite his grumpy face. I told him twice that I never drove a car and he was like “Yeah yeah! You told me that five times!!” Very passive aggressive attitude. Highly recommend A Adams Driving School! If you are looking for an instructor who will actually care about your child's success and safety, ask for Halina. She has been absolutely wonderful with my son. She always keeps us in the loop and makes coordination completely seamless. She is genuinely a wonderful person and does an excellent job. Original review: Apparently this place just likes to take your money and not provide service. My daughter went through their instruction program just fine enough to get her permit, but when it came to the actual driving instruction part, they kept giving us the runaround. I went to Adam’s driving school and it was not the best experience. We had a 10 minute break during class, while that happened Dan the teacher would leave and go on a smoke break, when he came back the whole room would stink. Difficult to get appointment. Instructor's car was filthy, my daughter had no place to put her purse down. Pedantic instruction, did not answer my daughter's questions, stopped the car frequently and made her read during behind the wheel training, pressured her to make the left turn when she did not feel safe to do so. Switched to Top Driver school that was easier to schedule and instructor that arrived in a clean car, very good instruction. She passed the license test after 3 hrs of instruction with Top Driver.

Darnell Howard is the BEST instructor and the Adams school of Driving is TOPSs as well. He taught our daughter; made the experience enjoyable, educational and fun. This was accomplished while teaching her the rules of the road to be a safe driver. I recommend ADAMS and Darnell to everyone !!!!

Our group is sponsoring a 32 year old foreign student obtaining his Masters degree-he had driven in his country for 10 years. He had his permit and we had taken him driving and wanted a professional to go over the rules of the road and take him for his driving test. We paid in advance for two 90 minute lessons - thinking that one would be enough and the second would take him for the test. The first lesson was great. They insisted on the second lesson which was the exact same as the first. Then they insisted on a third lesson-which would not include taking him to the DMV--so two more 90 minute lessons...we thought that was over kill. They said it was because he was from a country where they drive on the other side of the road. Alot of my friends referred me to Adams because of thier long standing relationship in our community and have always had a great program. I have to say that our daughters instructor was helpful in so many ways, took time to answer any questions we had about her driving. Altogether was a great experience and I am now one of the many people referring Adams to all of you.
