I was a nervous driver who was intimidated to drive on the open roads which immediately made me nervous for the lessons however I was treated with so much kindness and understanding. Above all that the lessons were incredibly helpful, I was able to gain confidence in my driving. I would like to personally thank Barb and David for all the support they gave me through my 6 lessons. Overall I came to look forward to driving after initially being worried about my presentation.

I went to AA Indiana Driving School's Carmel location for my driver's ed program and I must say I'm very fascinated by everything that I was treated here along with my entire experience.
I first had an online course that I took which I completed in over a month, and then I was able to take my 6-hour behind the wheel lessons with them. They made it very easy to book through a portal and I could easily find and select which instructor would work for my accommodation and the timeframe that fits best. These open spots for finding lessons do fill up quite fast depending on the time of year, so I would definitely take note on that if you are trying to find a good timeframe that might work for your student.
I will say for the lessons and experience, they went pretty well for my 6 lessons that I did, with the exception of 1 of where things didn't go the way it was supposed to. I'd like to give a huge shoutout to the instructors of Rick and Marty for being my big two who I had in 3 different lessons who really helped to transform my driving experience, coach me some good advice, and take in my appreciation of being a student over at the driving academy. Rick and Marty are very good instructors and I highly recommend for anyone trying to pair up a good instructor for driving lessons, those two are the great experienced guys who have satisfied it right, and they have also done well in preparing me to take the road exam, too.
I did have a few OK instructors, and it did take me some time to adjust to their learning style, but I was able to get through it just fine with them too with the same good driving experience.
My only downside that I experienced was that I had one lesson of where I had a pretty bad instructor I was paired up with, and I'm surprised no one has left anything about Pete, but from my experience with him, I did have some issues when I had him as my driving instructor as I know he kept yelling and shouting at me while I was trying to focus and drive on the road, and that left me feeling intimidated and anxious. I know he was also texting (with his phone notifications constantly going off) and taking a phone call on his phone at one point while in the middle of the lesson, and that made me question about my safety and well-being. I don't think this kind of behavior is something I would expect if I had a driving instructor like that, and it just shows unprofessional behavior, being rude to someone, and compromising the safety of the student driver.
I also did take the road test there too and I was paired up with Scott, and I want to also give a huge shoutout to him for all of his efforts and being my instructor for the road test of where I was able to pass because of him. I'd say he graded me very well and he can tell that he's satisfied with my driving skills that I really put my skills into. While I didn't have him for a lesson, he's also another good guy I would recommend.
Overall, aside from the one bad instructor who I had to deal with which explains one star off, I can overall say AA Indiana Driving is still a great driving academy that I went to for my driver's ed program. They have great instructors and a great team of staff who will work with everyone. I'd say finding the right instructor for your needs is very important to consider if you want the best experience. I would definitely try to refer any of my other friends or peers who might be in need of driver's ed to this place.

Our daughter enjoyed the ease of learning online with her busy schedule as well as the flexible scheduling of the road lessons. All the instructors were friendly and made the learning process very easy and enjoyable for her. The road test was no pressure and she passed on the first try! We will definitely be using this school again with our other two kids when it comes time for them to get behind the wheel!

As someone in my 60s with limited English, I was very nervous about the driving test in Carmel. The instructors were incredibly patient and supportive throughout my training. The instructor (Tina) used clear verbal instructions and hand signals to ensure I understood everything and stayed calm. Thanks to their training and guidance, I passed the road test! Highly recommended for anyone needing extra support.

I highly recommend AA Driving School to anyone learning to drive and if you are booking lessons, you absolutely must ask for Scott!
Before starting her lessons, my wife was quite nervous and hesitant about getting behind the wheel. However, instructor completely transformed her experience. From day one, he was incredibly patient, encouraging, and observant. He has a unique ability to break down driving techniques in a way that is easy to understand, and his calm demeanor immediately took away all the stress of learning.
Scott didn't just teach her the rules of the road; he genuinely focused on building her confidence. He provided constructive feedback without ever making her feel overwhelmed, and always made sure she felt safe. Thanks to his expert guidance, my wife went from being an anxious learner to a confident, comfortable driver who is fully at ease navigating the roads. I highly recommend to anyone learning to drive.

Really nice instructor. Not impressed with Michelle who typically answers the phone. They charge you $30 if you need to cancel a drive time. I scheduled a drive time and later that day forgot it wouldn't work. I called to cancel the same day. They had a week to offer that time to someone else. No exceptions, still charged $30. That is really extreme. We had never cancelled before.

Two of our children completed the six hour supervised drives, all was well, they have been driving on their own and seem to have an understanding of the rules on the road. Did not give five stars because there was nothing "exceptional" that transacted between the drivers and student. The drivers were present, timely, and did there parts instructing the students.

That was from my first lesson, I've had 3 more and they were all pretty good. First lesson wasn't fun but I guess it's not that bad.

People who teach you driving could be super rude and raise their voices while you are doing your practice driving. It could sometimes sound exactly like your dad's or mum's yelling when you make a mistake . My 2 times own experience with MIKE wasn't good and friendly. If you make some mistakes, get ready to be unkind and high reaction from Mike. If we wouldn't make any mistakes why would we come to the school and learn. If you would yell at me or be unkind and loose your temper when I make mistake , why would I come and expect help from school that I expect they would have kind and helpful teachers - I would ask my dad or friends instead. And in addition why do I pay you guys ? just to be rude and yelling at me all the time ... You should make students feel comfortable not nervous . Being nervous may cause an any accident also.BIG DISAPPOINTMENT :-(

Classes were good. Scheduling drives can be a problem. Waiting for the calls back can be annoying. Maybe getting an automated system to schedule would be helpful.

Our experience has been pretty good. My daughter took the online class and liked that she could go at her own pace. Once completed we took the certificate to the office and scheduled the road lessons. We did not experience any issues that others have stated. We found the people to be helpful and they explained the process to us and especially what to do if we needed to reschedule a drive. The instructors have been good and my daughter has been comfortable with the instructions she has received.

They finally called to schedule an appointment with my daughter two weeks after she finished the online course. We arrived on a Saturday at 8:50am. At 9am, they said they made a mistake and wrote down...
They finally called to schedule an appointment with my daughter two weeks after she finished the online course. We arrived on a Saturday at 8:50am. At 9am, they said they made a mistake and wrote down the wrong Saturday. They should have to pay me $30 for screwing up the schedule and using our gas money to drive over 35 minutes to get there. Look at A+!

Rude people who seem to take delight in screwing their customers over. You can hear the glee in their voices when they tell you no or that you have to pay more money. Receptionist is the worse. Apparently they don't have to be nice because there isn't a lot of competition.Driving instructor yelled at my daughter. If I wanting yelling, I could have taught her to drive myself. Driving instructors don't give parents feedback or suggestions. When I did get one to talk to me, he was very short & unhelpful. If you expect pleasantness, friendliness, feedback, help or even general politeness, you will be disappointed.

I was a nervous driver who was intimidated to drive on the open roads which immediately made me nervous for the lessons however I was treated with so much kindness and understanding. Above all that the lessons were incredibly helpful, I was able to gain confidence in my driving. I would like to personally thank Barb and David for all the support they gave me through my 6 lessons. I went to AA Indiana Driving School's Carmel location for my driver's ed program and I must say I'm very fascinated by everything that I was treated here along with my entire experience.

All the instructors were friendly and made the learning process very easy and enjoyable for her. The road test was no pressure and she passed on the first try! Two of our children completed the six hour supervised drives, all was well, they have been driving on their own and seem to have an understanding of the rules on the road. Did not give five stars because there was nothing "exceptional" that transacted between the drivers and student. The drivers were present, timely, and did there parts instructing the students.

That was from my first lesson, I've had 3 more and they were all pretty good. First lesson wasn't fun but I guess it's not that bad.

Our experience has been pretty good. My daughter took the online class and liked that she could go at her own pace. Once completed we took the certificate to the office and scheduled the road lessons. We did not experience any issues that others have stated. We found the people to be helpful and they explained the process to us and especially what to do if we needed to reschedule a drive. The instructors have been good and my daughter has been comfortable with the instructions she has received.
