If I could rate this place zero stars I would. They are rude, unprofessional and have the absolute nerve to be expensive. The only way you can get in touch with someone is through email. No one is ever at the office or answers the phone. It is so hard to schedule drives. It is such a waste of money and time. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE FOR DRIVING LESSONS. It is the absolute worst choice if you decide to send your children here for drives you will regret it as I did. I read reviews before I chose this place and still decided to give it a shot and I can NOT agree more with the already horrible reviews and low star rating.

Dennis is very misunderstood and misinterpreted by most of these reviews.
Dennis is one of the kindest humans i’ve conversed with, he was merciful when i made mistakes driving and he never once yelled at me like some of these reviews are saying. But if you put you and Dennis’ life at risk… yes you might get yelled at as a natural response that us humans have, put yourself in his shoes and then think…
This place is not a 2.9 star driving school. Scheduling was easy, Dennis and Sherrie are really really good at what they do and Sherries patience is through the roof and she is a very kind hearted person with really great intentions and has a-lot of love for what she does.
All I’m saying is that these other bad reviews scared me when I first started and i judged a book by its cover. but then I gave the people a chance and got to know them and really they are kind and bring light to a drive and make the hour meaningful and make it enjoyable.
5 Stars from me. Thank you Dennis and Sherrie!

However, customer service is key for a business to remain in business (thank God for online reviews these days). ...

However, customer service is key for a business to remain in business (thank God for online reviews these days). Horrible communication. Takes WEEKS to get a response...including to sign up for the classes! And good luck getting questions answered once you finally do sign up. If school stays too busy to return calls that should also mean it's profitable. Plenty of folks looking for minimum wage jobs...I'd recommend hiring one as an office assistant. Even if part time. Just seems like common sense.

My daughter just completed the entire course with the Geist Road Star Driving School and we couldn't be more pleased! From the classroom time, through the 6 instruction drives and even taking the Waiver test for her license, Amy and her staff were always helpful, professional and willing to help in any way possible.
I was skeptical about going the driving school route, but after working with them for the last few months, I would have no problem recommending their service to anyone.
We thank Geist Road Star Driving School for helping our daughter obtain the skills/knowledge to become a safe driver.

Mr. Platt was a remarkable and exceptional teacher, as well as a fantastic person and mentor. I am very glad to call him a friend and I will only look back on my experience with positivity. He has been nothing but kind, and has taught us the rules of the road in a manner so intriguing and interesting. His class, although rigorous and challenging, was by far the greatest opportunity I’ve ever taken. I hope that Mr. Platt continues to teach and continues to create class after class of skilled drivers.

I had a somewhat unpleasant in class experience, The instructor, Mr. Platt was always giving mellow vibes and he really just brings out the best of every single person who is lucky enough to meet him....
I had a somewhat unpleasant in class experience, The instructor, Mr. Platt was always giving mellow vibes and he really just brings out the best of every single person who is lucky enough to meet him. He was just a great guy and an even better teacher. But, there was also some people who just made the class hell. there was 2 girls who would not stop talking and staring at me and my classmates I sat with. They also would often make snide remarks and use derogatory language to talk to us. But, back to Mr. Platt he was really a nice guy and he made sure he had given us as much instruction as he could. He also let us take breaks after a long stretch of class time. He even let us bring in pizza and we shared it with him. I had a wonderful time with Mr. Platt and I hope I can stay in touch with him going forward.

I LOVED THE CLASS WITH MY BOY MR PLATT. IT WAS A FUN AND EDUCATIONAL CLASS. MR PLATT WAS GOOD EXPLAINING THE RULES OF THE ROAD IN A VERY GOOD WAY. I ENJOYED HAVING THE BREAKS IN MIDDLE OF CLASS BECAUS...

I will start off by saying I am 30yrs old and I have been terrified of driving my entire life. I took driver's education when I was 16 and had a horrible experience and I never drove again. Well this year I decided to go to a different drivers ed and try it again. Let me start from the beginning.The owner Amy was so kind and I asked her at least one million questions by email. She answered every single question right away and was so sweet. Next I drove with Mr. Dennis L. my very first time and he was so kind. He took his time with me and he told me a story that related to my situation that made me gain confidence. He was so uplifting and one of the most kind people I ever met. The moral of this story is I passed my test and I'm eligible for my license in the 1st. Thank you guys so much for everything. You don't understand how much you've changed my life!!!!

They give you an email reminder for your appointment 23 hours beforehand. You can only reschedule 24 hours beforehand, so you have pay for the missed appointment by the time you get the reminder. Gr...
They give you an email reminder for your appointment 23 hours beforehand. You can only reschedule 24 hours beforehand, so you have pay for the missed appointment by the time you get the reminder. Great way to generate more money for the business.
They claimed that by Indiana law, they are required to enforce the school zone speed on Saturdays; this is not part of the BMV test. "Disobeying a yield, stop, school zone, or no turn on red sign". The school zone sign clearly states that it is only during school hours. While this policy of the school generates more money for the business (because people re-test), I can find no evidence online that this is the law in Indiana.
They also refused to give us a receipt for the cost of the driving test, stating that they don't give receipts for cash payments. I don't think the IRS likes that so I will be reporting them formally for suspected tax fraud.

the school never communicated to me as a parent my daughter's progress, even after asking numerous times! My daughter said the instructor was on his cell phone and talked more about sports than safe driving! What a fly-by-night operation! I think they are trying to push as many student's through as possible! It shouldn't be about them getting bigger, but about helping kids be safer!

My daughter just completed the entire course with the Geist Road Star Driving School and we couldn't be more pleased! From the classroom time, through the 6 instruction drives and even taking the Waiver test for her license, Amy and her staff were always helpful, professional and willing to help in any way possible.
