Great experience, Mr Henry gave me great advice during my hands-on. Mr. Maurice was also instrumental in my pre-trip. Some steps involved with certain things should be outlined more clearly. Hello, Dear Coastal Truck Driving School My name is Amir Allen and I am officially a graduate from your school. I am on my way to becoming a truck driver now but for my experience in being in the school was a very life changing and a growing process for me. I have learned so many life lessons and memories to take with me in the future. I firstly met some great people that believe in me every step of the way and helped me achieve the goal I was planning to reach. Secondly came into the school at 23 years old and left out at 24 years old. Thirdly When I first started coming to the college I signed up for the Four week program but I initially stayed for about two in a half months due to me failing testing about two times. But the first week I was there I was learning so much about trucks and safety matters with not only your truck but also the road safety matters as well. My second week I was going through a lot of personal issues, but I managed to maintain a leveled head to stay focused. During this week we started learning how to do a “straight back”with the truck in between cones as your practice course. My third week we started learning how to do a “Offset” with the truck and a “90 Degree Angle” as well. The Instructor also stated taking us on the road to practice driving with the truck as well they started pouring information by telling us how to pay attention to the signs on the road, your mirrors, and your speed limits and the traffic. My fourth week we was still practicing with the truck and all I had to do was keep that same repetitive mind frame from what we were learning the previous week before while learning the new information that they were teaching. Now by the end of my fourth week I had to start preparing for my evaluation and my upcoming test. I honestly didn’t do good on my evaluation and my testing the first time but eventually I figured out what my mistakes was and I stayed focused and overcame the obstacles that were in front of me. I am highly proud of myself for staying focused, disciplined, and dedicated to working hard to get this degree.
