My experience with Zachary Driving Academy was phenomenal. Ms. Bobby was so generous and accommodating to my son with the entire process. She went above and beyond to ensure that the skills and knowledge were communicated to my son and that he understood what was expected in their course. She made this driving course experience an amazing one with being more than gracious and patient with my son. Ms. Young was an amazing instructor. The first day I met her, she allowed me to feel totally secure and confident that she will be the best person to instruct and coach my son with his driving experience. We used them a couple months ago for my son. I am very observant and i’ve noticed that they are more friendly with caucasian families and men. I don’t do reviews but when It comes to my kids I take the necessary steps to put my two cents in. Besides that be prepared to pay and extra $90 that isn’t included in the fee. $15 for books and $75 for skills test. If you are late at any point it’s a $40 late fee but no one paid me when they were late for one of the skills session. (My doctor office CHARGE $20 FOR A NO SHOW & $0 late fee ) The problem here is that they schedule you when they are available not the other way around. Your child will need to be scheduled for 4 different driving sessions. I was never late just informing you. It took about 1 month after the class to finish up with everything. My son said they only drove around Zachary and took breaks at the gas station so they really aren’t driving the entire time?!!! also the lady was on her phone while he was driving and it made him more comfortable but as a parent Im paying for them to utilize their experience and my money to equip my child for the road. Thankfully he started practicing way before he was old enough to be licensed. This is why there are so many accidents. it’s bad enough that they can be licensed after a few hours of driving & I’m sure there are parents who don’t have the nerves to teach their kids to drive and put trust in the school to equip them?. No kid in the world will turn down keys your because they don’t feel ready. WE HAVE TO PREPARE THEM CARS ARNT TOYS Lastly In 2022 We used another driving school in Baton Rouge for my step son, it was $550 for EVERYTHING he drove 1 time immediately after the class was completed.
