The owner, Georgena Ewing (Ms. Georgie) has been involved in Drivers Education since the 80’s when certified by the National Safety Council and still does classes for them. A certified Md. State MVA instructor, she is concerned about today’s driving and your child’s safety. Her orientations are a real eye opener. “We just take driving for granted and don’t understand the physics of driving an automobile. “ She wants her student’s to get it and “DRIVE SMART” Her background in comedy does present a twist to a very serious subject. She tells it like it is. This is a dream come true for her and she is motivated to continue the reputation Perry Hall Driving School has had for over 30 years.

I had my drive time scheduled today October 14th 2019. I went there at 4:13pm and have been standing here since then waiting for my driving instructor to show up. Nobody has shown up. There is a sign on the door that says “no classes”. I never got a call, text or email stating they will be closed down. We paid $360 for this class and I can’t even do my drive time.

Absolutely disgraceful. I have just been informed from MVA that you have shut down! It would have been nice if you would have notified your customers. Our experience at the Perry Hall Driving School has been absolutely horrifying. You should not have been in business for the past 9 months. There has been many times that we have emailed, texted and calling with questions and concerns and my daughter and I have received zero responses. My daughter was finally able to schedule her first drive time back in July because you made it so difficult by prioritizing those that need a car for a job and those going into the Military and you canceled it last week. She waited months. It wasn’t until I called another driving school and they informed me to lodge a complaint with MVA that I was told you have shut down. Absolutely disgraceful customer service and Ms. Georgia...how dare you have the nerve to talk bad about Greg’s Driving School in the classroom portion that I sat through. Beyond unprofessional. I expect a full refund in the very near further...until then I guess we will have to wait weeks for MVA to send the paperwork portion showing completion of the classroom hours before we fork out more money to get drive times with another school. I’m disgusted.

my boyfriend finished his drivkng schoom in January and has yet to have a drive time, cannot contact her she doesnt answer phone calls, mailbox is full doesnt respond to texts. going to see if we can actually go up and talk to someone monday. Definitely looking for full refund and he can go somewhere else and redo his driving school. i went to abc driving school and waiting months MONTHS for a drive time is unheard of.

Ms. Georgie, without any prompting, decided it was important to call out me and my s/o in front of the whole class. She told us to use condoms, and then pointed at my s/o and said "Child Support is 500$ a month". This was just one instance. Others include telling us we'll never last and other things of the sort. We don't talk while we are in the building, much less exhibit any behavior that could possibly warrant such a call out. It was humiliating and inappropriate. She constantly rags on the males in the class, saying men need to be injected with estrogen and other misandrist things.She is racist in talking to poc in her class, saying things like "You do know how to speak English right?" After they have spoken perfectly clear english. That's happened at LEAST twice in the two weeks I was there. She is very loud and slams her desk, which causes discomfort across her classroom, especially to students coming from abusive backgrounds. Unless your child is an absolute wall flower and isn't afraid of yelling/desk slamming, don't send them here. Another thing is the drive times; Impossible to schedule. I tried scheduling one in August and didn't get in until November. It was a mess. Do yourself a favor and pick literally anywhere else.

One year later and my daughter who started the course when she was 17, is now 18 and is still waiting to get her driving time done. She's been trying to schedule drive times since October 2018 (she finished the class time in June 2018). She finally was scheduled for today at 1:30. I get home and get a call from her saying she can't do the drive time because they require at least 25 hours of practice time. They weren't able to show me were it says that in writing. Why do I need to send my kids to driving school if I am supposed to teach them myself. They need to change their name to Perry Hall Driving Ass. (for Assessment). It's not a driving school, if they don't teach you how to drive. My second child is registered at Greg's Driving School. I don't make the same mistake twice. Hopefully, this review will help you avoid the mistake I made when I signed up my first child at Perry Hall "Driving School".

Its an intimate classroom. Ms. Georgie, the owner, is very competent, wise and funny lady. When my daughter is old enough to drive I would love for her to go to a driving school as good as this one. They have very attentive teachers and all care very much about their students and want to make sure you learn about been safe and about everything there is to know of the laws of driving and how important it is to be responsible and pay attention. Great classes and they help you do your schedule as need be, according to your necessities. I am very glad I chose this school.

Didn't help me pass my permit test the second time considering I was NEVER TAUGHT WHAT HAND SIGNALS ARE WHICH. Ex: left hand down means stop. Thank you for wasting my money and time.

This is a very informative and accessible program. The instructors are strict but equally as understanding towards the students.
I took drivers ed in May 2015, close to the age of 19. I was a little older than the rest of the kids there, who seemed to be high schoolers. I was very surprised at how intense the class was. It was not intense in a bad way, but they taught driving in a realistic way. Given how most teenagers are incredibly eager to start driving, Ms. Georgie was able to explain the reality of the responsibility. Some criticized her for the approach, but I thought it was necessary.
Scheduling driving times was very easy for me. I already had my permit, so I was able to schedule them soon after class ended. Each time my instructor showed up on time. Ms. Helen took me for my second and third drive time. She was very nice and informative, but also not afraid to tell me when I was doing something wrong. She bought me a coffee, too.
I learned a lot in the class and on the road with the people at Perry Hall Driving school. They are organized, informative, and will tell you things many driving schools won't. They don't cut any corners either. They want to make sure that each student learns how to drive safely and successfully.

Scheduling my drive times are taking more than seven months. They schedule the students that took the class after I did with the other students I had class with. It is utterly ridiculous

Our experience at the Perry Hall Driving School has been absolutely horrifying. You should not have been in business for the past 9 months.
