I enrolled to this driving school through PGCC. The online portion was fine but it was incredibly difficult to get the appointment scheduled for the in person driving lessons. I would call the school and they would tell me they would call me back. The person who would call is the owner of the school. They took at least a week the first time and offered me an appointment for the next day. When I told them I couldn't take the appointment because I had work, they said okay and hung up. I told the school my availability but they would consistently call and offer me a lesson for the next day. All the appointments were on days I told them I was not available. Every time I would repeat my availability to them and they kept telling me to make more room in my schedule to fit them in. They even said at one point if I had just opened up my schedule more I would have been done. This went on for months. Finally I was able to get an lesson that fit into my schedule. My instructor was great. At the end of the lesson, I asked him about scheduling the next lesson. He told me I could try to talk to the owner. I went in and tried to talk to him but he was immediately rude, like he had been on the phone. When I told him I wanted to schedule an appointment in advance, he told me his business didn't operate like that. I pointed out to him that calling people and offering appointments for the next day was ineffective since it didn't leave time for them to take off of work. Eventually, he refused to speak to me anymore and demanded I get my mother and he would talk to her instead. I was the one who paid for the lessons, not my mother. He told her he wouldn't be talked to like that by a young person. I hadn't been rude, I was just trying to get appointments scheduled in advance. Eventually I got the next two appointments scheduled. During my next lesson, I saw the schedule book left out on the counter open in plain view for whoever walks in. The owner had written problem. As an older learner, this school isn’t the best option because they prioritize the teenagers. This business is also disorganized. I have been trying to get time on the road to obtain my hours, and I need more than the required six because I don’t have a coach. I keep getting told that I gotta wait. This is going on 3 months now. The only redeeming quality about this school is that the younger instructors are very nice and knowledgeable. Mine was great but he left the school to go back to his main job. I’m very disappointed. I will likely have to pay someone else to help me get the skills and hours. Read Less

I am typing this with so many tears of joy!! Today, I went to take my driving test FINALLY, after years of being afraid of the road. I paid for a car rental and one hour test practice. Mr. Nelson was completely AMAZING and more knowledgeable than I expected. He literally walked me step by step, took me on the driving route to get me familiar with the road and signs, and he even pointed out some important pieces that I would have NEVER paid attention to in order to pass my test. He is a genius at the 2 point turn reverse. Every neevous feeling I had he helped me face before testing... I can go on about why I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend ANYONE to try this driving school out. The customer service was great, the staff is encouraging, and it made my test a piece of cake... just pay attention to every detail they tell you and you will pass your road test with flying colors. Today I PASSED my road test my FIRST attempt because I had a very calm and patient instructor.... this is hands down THE best driving school in MARYLAND!! You will not regret it. They Absolutely Suck. Information Provided In 36hours Was NOT 100% Accurate. They Tell You That The MVA Requires You To Drive A Vehicle w/ Center Emergency Brake. Months Done Passed And I Could've Taken My Test With The Vehicle I Had. On Top Of The Fact Yhat The Schedule Your 2 Hour Driving Courses Months Apart. Oddly. I wish to acknowledge the professional service provided by Mr. Nelson and the entire staff at Linnel Driving School. Mr. Nelson worked diligently to assure that the service and items I needed for my son's to complete his driving education class and on the road driving was done correctly and the utmost professionalism. His demeanor was caring and impressive and made sure all my questions were addressed. I personally experience Linnel's excellent customer service from him. He provided resolution to all areas of my concern with perfection. He listened to my concerns and in a matter of time resolved each issue. We've all had terrible customer service experiences. Personally, when I receive poor customer service, I give the company one more opportunity to make it up to me before I sever all ties with them and look for an alternative. But others aren't so patient. In most cases, you only get one chance to make a great impression on a customer through your service, Mr. Nelson and his staff did. It's incredibly important to listen to what your customer is telling you. Never assume you know what's best. Listen objectively and ask questions to get to the crux of the customer's concerns, so that you can help them quickly and efficiently. He identified with my concerns as a customer and explain that he would do everything to resolve any future issue if they occurred. He made me as a customer feel important and was sincere with the transaction.
