Advance Driving Academy is Owings, premiere driving school. We specialize in helping new drivers become comfortable behind the wheel. We offer the 36 hour MVA approved driving education curriculum, the driver’s improvement class, the 3 hour drug and alcohol program and a variety of driving services that support safe driving habits.

The actual drivers-ed class was good, but this business is quite literally impossible to get a hold of for the part that matters: the 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction. Don't use this school!!! if you dial their number (you can try it out if you don't believe me) it will tell you to email them, use the pre-bought template drivers ed website that gives you no method of contacting them, or leave a message that they will never get back to. If you email them, you will never get a reply. The only time you are able to get a hold of them is in the 14 days of class you have, when everyone is just unaware of just how terrible the scheduling works in this class. Around 2 weeks ago, in June, I emailed the school asking about how I have checked daily (I still have been checking daily now, by the way, and no luck) for slots quite literally as far out as the site allows, with no luck. I stated in that email that I would be perfectly okay with switching schools if the schedule wouldn't allow it. In their one and only communication to me, despite the 4 follow-ups I have sent trying to hear back from them again, (on weekdays, non-holidays exclusively, by the way), they reassured me that it would be possible and told me to email the dates I wanted to them. After I replied promptly, they never once replied to me again. I now must get my license much later than I would have liked, and was unable to book at a competing school because they legitimately just lied to me to prevent me from switching... The good reviews are true, Ms Katrina is a great instructor, but it doesn't matter how good an instructor is if you literally cant meet with them. If you like gambling on your child being able to drive then I guess this place is for you because no matter how open your schedule is good luck...

Ms. Katrina was a wonderful instructor!! She was adamant on zoom manners which I appreciate. She was very understanding and did everything she could to have a very informative class despite technical issues towards the last couple days of class. I learned a lot and am excited for my journey on the road as a responsible driver.

I used the car rental service for the driving test. It was a great experience. Making the appointment was easy and flexible. The lady I talked to was very helpful. On text day, Katrina was very nice and on time. She gave me some tips before the test and I passed. I’d highly recommend them

I absolutely love the instructors; Debra is great and very professional, Merrill is awesome and my favorite instructor.

One day I had to cancel an appointment for a Drive Time I signed up for and I made sure to call between the hours of 12am and 6pm. I called about five times at least and left me...
Very unprofessional.
One day I had to cancel an appointment for a Drive Time I signed up for and I made sure to call between the hours of 12am and 6pm. I called about five times at least and left messages because no one answered. Then the night before this appointment, the office calls me reminding me about the appointment I tried to cancel! Then when I tried to calmly tell the lady on the phone my situation, she got an attitude.
Another time is when my mother called to make an appointment for a Drive Time for me and they set the appointment date for the next moth. But I recently got a reminder for an appointment on the next day that I never scheduled. I called them immediately (around 3pm) and tried to tell them about their mistake but again, no one answered.
For anyone who didn't feel like reading all of that, here's the point: SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE because this is definitely not worth your time or money.

Very unprofessional. Quick to take your money then cant get driving time, when you call, IF they pick up they are rude and nasty. As if expecting what you paid for is unreasonable. Stay away!!!

TERRABLE ,I took my daughter for her first driving lesson waited 1 1/2 hrs and the instructor never showed up. The next driving lesson she said the instructor got in the car with an attitude and cancelled her following 2 lessons saying she needed more practice . HELLO isn't that what driving school is for to learn to drive ! I guess since they do business through Baltimore city public schools they think they can treat the kids old way.

Terrible my daughters first appointment for driving instruction we waited 1 1/2 hrs and the instructor never showed up the second appointment her first time driving the instructor (supposed to be the owner ) said she needed more practice and canceled her other 2 driving instructions. . Isn't that what driving SCHOOL is for to teach you how to drive !!! Terrible.!! .I guess since they do business thru Baltimore city Schools they think they can treat the kids anyway they want !

I really enjoyed my experience with ADA in Owings Mills...The instructors were very nice and made being in class in the evening hours very interesting...I have to say that everyone in their office mad...
I really enjoyed my experience with ADA in Owings Mills...The instructors were very nice and made being in class in the evening hours very interesting...I have to say that everyone in their office made this a very great experience...I would recommend them to everyone and I can't wait to send my teenagers there in a couple months

This place is ghetto as hell man, go to elite. Sad to say as a black woman I support black business but they are extremely unprofessional and the drivers literally teach you nothing when u go behind the wheel. It's a waste of time. Elite is good if you want to benefit with real practice from an instructor.

The actual drivers-ed class was good, but this business is quite literally impossible to get a hold of for the part that matters: the 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction.
