Current student as of today and I can say my experience has been great so far. Administration is always friendly and helpful. The new building is a great size and probably the most well kept school I have ever been to. I am in the building construction program and l love my instructors Mathis and Spearmen. Time flies when you are having fun and I am learning so much already. Almost two months in and we are in the lab building. I will say it all depends on you and how much you pay attention in class. I also have the class ever; we are very family oriented and help each other. They are really big on attendance and making sure you are keeping your grades up so you will get the most out of your experience and can get a job. I will say if you don't have a permit or full drivers license please try to get that before you finish your program because many companies may provide work vehicles when you do get hired. These programs are felon-friendly as well but sometimes it depends so be honest and let them work with you. Overall, I think this is one of the best trade schools and they don't just look at the for profit (money) aspect either. Read Less

I believe that North America Trade School is a good school to go to if you want a trade but I wouldn’t recommend doing the HVAC/R trade at this school from my experiences. I was dropped from the school in the 4th quarter because my attendance which I take full accountability. Although I find it interesting that I was dropped for attendance but they have students in the trade repeating whole quarters and they also have attendance problems. Also I feel my attendance wasn’t taken properly because my 3rd quarter teacher didn’t even really know my name or was barely in class because of health problems (he would ask me everyday). I feel like I put an effort to get my attendance back good but the days I would stay back to get extra time the teacher would leave. Also ik people that’s wasn’t even in class as much as me with higher attendance rate and grades. The grades is also a concern of mines. For 3rd quarter it says all my grade are D’s which I don’t understand because since the quarter started we only really did was one lab which was work on a gas furnace. Which I did multiple times and the teacher seen me as well. That’s not the worst part 3 weeks before the quarter ended the director of the course notified us that 90% of the class are failing with F’s which all of us was lost because how are we failing when Ill teacher was barely here and we barely received work. So basically all the work we did for those 3 weeks was supposed to go to our grades which I did most of the assignments because I know my situation and I needed the grades. Overall I feel like the HVAC program needs some work before accepting more students into the program Read Less

I just passed my CDL final test today and I am immensely thankful to Steve, Jeff, Marie, Fox and Terrence. I am thankful to Mr. Al for his ingenious classroom instruction. He always keeps the class interesting, in addition to sharing his over 50 years of truck driving experience. Great school, great school, great school. I can't stress this enough. Big bang for your buck. If you have "shiftophobia" (my coinage for fear of shifting gears), Jeff and Steve will get you straight like a ruler. Trust me, if I could get over it, you will. I strongly recommend North American Trade Schools in Baltimore, Maryland. Read Less

I always had a love for driving a tractor trailer. So I enrolled in the CDL program at the Security Boulevard location and it has been one of the best experiences of my life. Why? First I found all the staff members to be very professional and helpful. And the CDL instructors are just amazing!!! They arrive everyday not only with the attitude of doing their job, but also with the willingness to help you learn. They are very experienced and their teaching tactics is so on point. So my hat comes off to this school for having a team of professional instructors who goes above and beyond. I Feel very comfortable and confident behind the wheel and its because of you all. So thanks again to the team that I encountered during my enrollment.😄 Read Less

This is an honest review so please read it in its entirety.  This is a grimy hands on no kidding get dirty school.  Love it! The teachers are laid back subject matter experts.  Pro or cons depending on your point of view:- School has a dress code but the teachers don't enforce it.  Lots of students running around with headphones on and using their cell phones during class time.- Need to smoke? Just step outside and when you are done, just throw your butt on the ground, no worries.- When the students return from lunch, you can often get a contact high from all the pot smokers. In my opinion this is a great school, and if you have discipline you can learn a lot.  You get what you put in for sure.  With that said, it would also be easy to screw off and graduate with nothing but debt also.  That's my two cents, take it for what it's worth. Please don't waste your time if you're interested in the diesel program. There are literally only 1 or 2 instructors that know what they're doing, the rest must have lied on the resume. I graduated, paid my debts to the school but they will not release my diploma to me. I now have a career outside of diesel maintenance that pays better than if I were an entry level diesel mechanic, but I at least wanted my diploma for proof that it is the most worthless expensive piece of paper ever.
