I held off on my review for a bit. There was some scheduling issues BUT had a great conversation with Jerry and was able to get my daughter on the schedule and he was very accommodating with her sports schedule. I def recommend and be a little patient they will come through and make things work.

I never leave a review, But this place definitely deserves one. So after having a medical issue, the doctor put in that I had to take a competency test to make sure that I didn’t need any medical devices or anything like that. I went to Acua out of school to see if we could do a brush up course and go over what they’re gonna do in the company test and also because I needed to use the car because of the emergency brake in the middle Of the car. They agreed to help out we scheduled everything together. Come the day of the test at the RMV they did not show up so that was leading me to fail the test and I still had to pay the RMV for taking the test. When calling to see where they were And if they were coming, I was told his mother had a heart attack so he wasn’t gonna be there. He had no instructor to get to me and that they just couldn’t do it. No phone call. No nothing. Left high and dry to call him back to reschedule and let him know what happened. When calling him back, he did not pick up the phone and he sent me a text message that said I’m in the car with a student driving. I’m unable to answer your call at this time. I will call you back. Two days past no callback so I called him again to go over everything and he said yes we’re gonna do this and I’ll call you to make the test so we can go have that everything done and handle that out of the way. Two weeks went by have not heard from him at all to schedule the test. Reach out and give him the benefit of the doubt one more time and told him that I needed a letter from him for the rmv That I was gonna be taking the test with them so they could give me the appropriate paperwork. Once again was told yes we could we’re gonna work with you. I’ll email you the letter that you need tonight. Well that letter was never emailed and this driving school is playing with my license extremely horrifically, which is scary if you value any part of your license or receiving a license do not use them. They are extremely unreliable. And the guy seemed very frustrated in anything that I asked him. He had to get back to me because he had to check with the rmv.

Worst driving school-- do not go there-- lots of cancellations and rescheduling. Jerry - who runs it is awful. Runs a "cash" only for private lessons and sometimes emails a receipt. He is on his phone while student drives. Horrible experience. Does not even qualify with one star.

Poorly run, communication is erratic/inconsistent, a lot of cancelling and rescheduling to say nothing about the very poor driver's education and the hidden fees.
Our experience has been almost entirely negative, far too many issues to outline, but I will caution here against spending the $150 for road test over the RMVs $35. test was a pain to schedule and was rescheduled last minute (twice!) only to start an hour late the day our kid was finally able to test. If the idea is to pay the premium for the convenience of avoiding the RMV, this was certainly not worth its own hassle.
There are certainly limited options in the area for driving schools, but this ain't it.

My experience with Agawam Auto School has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. The instructor canceled on me three separate times, including once after I had already arrived, costing me about $30 in rides each time since I don’t have a vehicle. This has not only wasted my time and money but also delayed my driving progress.
Even worse, he claimed he couldn’t contact me because he “didn’t have my number,” despite having been in touch with me since April. There was no apology or effort to reschedule in a way that made up for the inconvenience.
But the most alarming issue? The instructor was falling asleep while I was behind the wheel. That’s not just unprofessional—it’s dangerous.
I signed up expecting professional instruction and a safe learning environment. What I got was disorganization, poor communication, and a complete lack of responsibility. I strongly advise others to look elsewhere for driving lessons.

So unPROFESSIONAL. , I paid for 2 lessons and only did 1. The next day I was suppose to get my second lesson, the Driver Blew me off for 3 days straight. Then he knows I'm still waiting for him to show up. He sends a text he will be here in minutes. Then another text he's in traffic, the final text was they would refund my money in a check . well to me this looks like they don't want to come teach me to drive. What an unPROFESSIONAL experience. Shame on there school.

signed up for the 150+100 plan i.e. 3 lessons and the test at the school location in their car with the provided sponsor. They barely did 2 of my lessons and what's worse is that they didn't prepare me for what would be asked in the test. So i failed the first time. They offered a repeat prep class before the alternate road test but didn't provide that either. By now i didnt need lessons and I cleared the second road test . Suggest pre-booking all appointments with stress on preparation for the test.

Very IRRESPONSIBLE, over 18 instructor wouldn't return phone calls. I would have to call repeated times just to get a response and schedule the next lesson. This guy is quick to take payment but not doing his part. If your looking for a professional well handled driving school experience, I would not recommend this driving school. If you don't mind that the instructor is on his phone and not "instructing" then this will work for you.

I'm happy I found them! I needed to rent a car and find a sponsor for my road test in Springfield's RMV (MA). I'm not living in that town, but that was the only RMV with available appointments for the road test without having to wait more than 4 weeks. So I took the bus to Springfield, and Gerald, the instructor, even picked me up from the bus terminal. I also took an hour of class to become confortable with the car and to practice a bit. He is kind, patient, and cares about the details. All his advices were useful. And finally I passed!

Great people; was real helpful I was stuck in a bind needed to get through the course and instructions quickly. Did it all within a couple weeks. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you so much

Summary: Rip off. Overpriced plus many hidden add on fees - under staffed a classroom portion is terrible and the staff and owner are rude and cocky. A new place opened down the street. I haven't tried it but HAS to be better. Glad there is a choice now! I will not go back and warn others. In asking around I have had other parents tell me the same but they had no other option than to deal with this horrendous place. Price: hundreds more than others plus you'll have add on of: -the DE certificate plus they charge a $15 handling fee for it!- the parent class will gauge you another $20 which they don't reveal until you walk in that night (many parents were complaining of this as they sat down on my night!)- $150 to take the license exam with them ($50 at DMV)Classroom: it's the older owner telling the SAME personal stories over and over every week. There is no real learning going on. It's just killing time to say it was done. The owner taunts that he was a teacher and is fantastic. Unless you want a senior citizen droning on about irrelevant old stories, this is complete waste of time. Other schools at least do hands on changing a tire, etc. On roads: the scheduling is a nightmare. They are understaffed and unorganized. No one contacted me to start the on roads. I finally called them a month after the classroom ended. After 3 months, only 2 lessons and 2 cancellations 24hrs prior! The worst. And you will have different instructors every time. No continuity. Staff/service- they don't believe in customer service. They've been the only game in town and operate that way. They are arrogant, never wrong and plain rude. Oh, and they only answer the phone a few hours a day IF you are lucky. Many times they didn't answer even during the published hours to call. To top it off, they are very unorganized and will often ask you to call back to follow up in things they need to do/schedule. Save yourself hundreds and try another place. Trust me- it can't be any worse than this place!

I held off on my review for a bit. There was some scheduling issues BUT had a great conversation with Jerry and was able to get my daughter on the schedule and he was very accommodating with her sports schedule. I def recommend and be a little patient they will come through and make things work.

So after having a medical issue, the doctor put in that I had to take a competency test to make sure that I didn’t need any medical devices or anything like that. Our experience has been almost entirely negative, far too many issues to outline, but I will caution here against spending the $150 for road test over the RMVs $35. test was a pain to schedule and was rescheduled last minute (twice!) only to start an hour late the day our kid was finally able to test. If the idea is to pay the premium for the convenience of avoiding the RMV, this was certainly not worth its own hassle.
There are certainly limited options in the area for driving schools, but this ain't it.

My experience with Agawam Auto School has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. The instructor canceled on me three separate times, including once after I had already arrived, costing me about $30 in rides each time since I don’t have a vehicle. This has not only wasted my time and money but also delayed my driving progress.
Even worse, he claimed he couldn’t contact me because he “didn’t have my number,” despite having been in touch with me since April. There was no apology or effort to reschedule in a way that made up for the inconvenience.

Very IRRESPONSIBLE, over 18 instructor wouldn't return phone calls. I would have to call repeated times just to get a response and schedule the next lesson. This guy is quick to take payment but not doing his part. If your looking for a professional well handled driving school experience, I would not recommend this driving school. If you don't mind that the instructor is on his phone and not "instructing" then this will work for you.

I'm happy I found them! I needed to rent a car and find a sponsor for my road test in Springfield's RMV (MA). I'm not living in that town, but that was the only RMV with available appointments for the road test without having to wait more than 4 weeks. So I took the bus to Springfield, and Gerald, the instructor, even picked me up from the bus terminal. I also took an hour of class to become confortable with the car and to practice a bit. He is kind, patient, and cares about the details. All his advices were useful. And finally I passed!
