I am extremely disappointed with our experience at Belmont Driving School. My daughter often came home frustrated and upset after her lessons, especially because of her interactions with one instructor named Nick. She told me that he would place his hand on her shoulder and arm during lessons in a way that made her feel uncomfortable and uneasy. As a parent, this raised serious concerns for me about professionalism and appropriate boundaries.
In addition to this, the overall quality of instruction was very poor. My daughter repeatedly told me that she was rarely taught the actual fundamentals of driving. Instead of focusing on essential skills such as parallel parking, proper turning techniques, backing up in a straight line, and performing a three point turn, much of the lesson time was spent simply driving around without clear guidance or instruction. This made the lessons feel like a waste of valuable time and money.
The school itself appears to be very disorganized. They seem to accept far too many students, which results in constant overbooking and scheduling problems. Lessons frequently started late, which reduced the amount of actual learning time and showed a lack of respect for students and their families. Consistency was also a major issue, as different instructors taught different techniques. This made it confusing for my daughter, since she was never able to build on what she previously learned in a clear and structured way.
Overall, I would not recommend Belmont Driving School to others. A driving school should prioritize safety, professionalism, organization, and quality teaching, and this school failed to meet those expectations. Read Less
