I wholeheartedly agree with some of these reviews. Jean is unprofessional, distracted and on his phone during most of the lesson. Specifically, he was using my lesson time to book future lessons. There was not much instruction provided and he commented annoyingly when I made a mistake. I thought I was supposed to be learning. After the lesson, he did not provide any feedback as well. I will definitely not booking another lesson with this driving school.

I booked a 2 hour lesson with Jean to brush up on my skill before my road test. I have had about 10 years experience driving in Europe.
We set off on our lesson and I immediately noticed Jean was very distracted by his phone, answering and making calls to clients and often not looking at the road as we were driving.
There was also another passenger in the car, after 20 mins Jean told me to turn left at a junction and then quickly another left to drop of this person at their house. Jean had not mentioned they were a client from the previous lesson.
Most unprofessionally of all he seemed very annoyed that I had not completed the turn correctly and not pulled in fast enough because I had missed the stop for the passengers drop off. The passenger apologized to me as I clearly had no idea I was dropping them off.
I told Jean I’m not a taxi service and he was supposed to be paying attention to my driving. I got out of the car and paid for half of my time despite only haven driven for 20 minutes instead of 60. I was glad to be out of the car to be honest.
Jean is an unprofessional instructor who is more interested in using your lesson as time to book other clients tests and lessons as well as provide a taxi service to them. Don’t bother with JLS it’s a complete waste of time.

Amazing experience with JPS Auto School (Jean). With his help I was able to pass my driving exam on my first try. He was very honest with the amount of lessons I required. As a college student I know friends who attempted to use other driving schools in the Boston area, and had horrible experiences. So do not look any further!
He is a strict teacher which is important if you are learning how to drive as you are able to learn the rules much quicker. Some of the negative reviews on here amuse me. Jean is on his phone at times when he is talking to his students to book lessons, however is always attentive on the road and how you are driving. After I got my license I even went back to him to practice driving on the highway, where I was able to learn a lot again. Thank you Jean!

Jean is a very good instructor. He is friendly and he would guide you and help you improve on the areas you need to work on. I had failed my driving test twice due to parallel parking and my left turns. I took lessons from him and he gave me practice on the same and I passed the third time. I strongly reccomend JP auto school,particularly Jean. He also gives lessons on highway and I am going to take those lessons from him too.

This is the best Driving school ever. My friend recommend me to join in JPS for the classes. I had very nice classes with The instructor.He is very nice and intelligent. He teach us from basic to advance driving techniques. Today, i had a road test and i passed very easily. i would like to recommend all the friends to join JPS Auto School.

Jean was a really great teacher, he makes sure that you are comfortable and know what you are doing! Hes somebody who makes you feel welcomed with a outgoing personality and great teaching ethics. Overall my experience was really great and if you are looking for somebody to help you pass your rode test I highly suggest you go to him.

I can't say enough good things about Jean. He is a great instructor and very patient. I am an adult learner and was nervous to get behind the wheel. However, Jean took the time to explain things to me and pointed out my mistakes in a kind way. He is very encouraging and has a positive attitude. I passed my driving test on the first try.

I had my first driving experience with them back in November 2012; and the instructor I had was terrible!! I am a new driver and somewhat anxious. I already have my license and just wanted to boost my confidence in my driving skills. Well, he only increased my anxiety by yelling when I did something wrong, telling me that I absolutely did not know how to drive and that I could not drive, and was hardly paying attention at all when I did drive! He was constantly on his cell phone, trying to book next appointments, not paying attention to me or what I was doing on the road, and then I was never sure when he would tell me to turn. At one point I was so emotionally frustrated that I said I was done driving for the day; I will pay him anyway and he could drive back. But he forced me to drive anyway........Any safe and defensive driver should know NOT to make their student drive when he/she is in an emotional state!!Anyway, it took me another 5-6 months to shake off that experience. Today I rented a car and drove it around Somerville all by myself, simply to gain more confidence in driving. And I did beautifully. What a difference it makes to tell myself that I CAN and know HOW to drive and I felt much more confident than I ever have!!! (without the terrible instructor with me!)In short, DO NOT USE THEM!

I wholeheartedly agree with some of these reviews. Jean is unprofessional, distracted and on his phone during most of the lesson. Specifically, he was using my lesson time to book future lessons. I booked a 2 hour lesson with Jean to brush up on my skill before my road test. I have had about 10 years experience driving in Europe.
We set off on our lesson and I immediately noticed Jean was very distracted by his phone, answering and making calls to clients and often not looking at the road as we were driving.

Amazing experience with JPS Auto School (Jean). With his help I was able to pass my driving exam on my first try. He was very honest with the amount of lessons I required. Jean is a very good instructor. He is friendly and he would guide you and help you improve on the areas you need to work on. I had failed my driving test twice due to parallel parking and my left turns. I took lessons from him and he gave me practice on the same and I passed the third time. This is the best Driving school ever. My friend recommend me to join in JPS for the classes. I had very nice classes with The instructor.He is very nice and intelligent. I can't say enough good things about Jean. He is a great instructor and very patient. I am an adult learner and was nervous to get behind the wheel.
