Edited my review because this place did not deserve the two stars I graciously gave.
So far my experience with nicastros has been very frustrating with only a tiny handful of positives.
I work a full time job and at the beginning of every month I call multiple times to schedule lessons.. There was one day I called 13 times back to back just to get someone to answer. When you do leave a voicemail no one will call you back. Lessons end up becoming super spaced out to the point where drivers are not getting proper practice and are waiting weeks to a month for their next lesson.
Typically I get the voicemail but when I was able to schedule lessons I often am out with Stanley, someone who actively makes lessons unsafe, unreliable and an absolute waste of money. I have reported Stanley to the office multiple times for grabbing the wheel and not communicating why, for general rudeness, yelling and now for the fact during one of my last lessons in beverly he didnt even drop me off at my drop off location, rather at the complete end of the road while it was dark and freezing outside and I didn't have my coat since I was SUPPOSED to be dropped off at home.
Some instructors I've had like Julie Orlando have been very positive and very helpful. I felt like a more confident driver after lessons with them and after lessons at the dalton, but not with Stanley. I purposely started scheduling in Ipswich just to avoid him and to fit my work hours better. I have even heard negative things about him from the other driving instructors, how this man is still hired at this establishment I have no idea. With his lack of communication and patience he is not fit to be a driving teacher. He should be ashamed of himself with how he conducts his lessons. People pay over 1,000$ to have these lessons and he actively makes young drivers more anxious.
This place can often times be very unprofessional, frustrating and expensive. Seeing how the owner of the school is replying to reviews with such a hateful attitude and lack of accountability I can see why others get as frustrated as I do.
You pay 150$ to use the car for the road test, a road test where they bring you to a two way traffic area that's the size of one car to do a three point turn. This is in reality extremely unrealistic in real life as NO ONE would EVER do a three point turn in the middle of a public/busy road unless something absolutely went terribly.
Never use nicastros, they are a waste of time and money. They will squeeze every little drop of a dime out of you. Read Less

as a teen who went to driving school here, i have received the worst service ever. it is impossible for them to pick up the phone to make appointments. I once called 33 times in one day with no reply. they are only open during school hours. i was verbally berated by my driving ed instructor, Ruthy Hope, who was incredibly rude. THE WORST part of this driving school was the road instructor, Stanley Greenier. He is a horrible instructor who takes me to drive every single lesson and we do NO SKILLS. When I do things wrong her curses and mutters under his breath it tells at me. sometimes i ask him to do parallel park again, and he says no. it’s like he wants me to fail my test. this school is horrible and Stanley should just be fired. he is a horrible teacher. You shouldn’t go here. I learned about Nicastro’s through my school as they work together so students can do lessons in the ladder half of the day. The amount of complaints my peers and I have given our school staff about this company is absurd to the point that they are looking into the company for fraud. They charge $150 for "convenience fees” for every road test that they do, this does not include RMV fees. Today I passed my third road test and they don't even have the stamp needed to drive with the permit until your license arrives, meaning you need to go to an RMV to get stamped anyway. Due to these tests being at 7 am on a Saturday the closest RMV open is in Revere. The scheduled times I experienced firsthand were up to an hour off. Looking into the other negative reviews you can see the owner of the company’s condescending replies. In addition one of his reviews says that 8 people have never failed in a month which is statistally untrue. I can say this because in the same month, 2 other peers and I failed their road test 2 times and another peer failed once. So unless not one other person failed that month this is untrue, and in all reality not believable in the first place as the reactions of drivers and parents indicate that plenty of people fail the tests every day that they are done. Had the best experience working with Nicastro's. My son felt like he learned a lot during the driving lessons and had attentive teachers. They really helped prepare him for his driver's test also - he passed his first try. They stressed safetey and taught valuable driving skills.
Most important, they picked up the phone, called back and worked with us on scheduling sessions. Nicastro was booked like all the other driving schools but they stayed in close contact with me and my son - letting us know when there were cancellations and when they had openings.
Go to these guys first. I'll definitely be bringing my younger kid her when its his time. Read Less
