I went to Donahue's driving School to take some lessons to be able to get my license. My instructor was Mark he was very helpful and professional on the way he explained things he didn't just tell me if I did something wrong he would show me how to do it properly the next time. After a few lessons I had my road test today and I passed my license exam I recommend going to Donahue's driving school for people who were trying to get their license or who are just trying to get the road time they are very professional and they are pleasant and helpful. I recommend them for anybody who is looking for a professional drive-in school where the instructors show you and teach you the right way to do everything. This driving school is awesome, I can say from experience, they thought me everything I needed to pass my road test, he explains everything clearly and in a concise manner, the lessons are pricey but its a good place to learn how to drive. Class room was fine. Actual driving was terrible. Instructor told student to speed up in a school zone because she forgot to get gas, and they were very low. Instructor had student pull over so she could call Grandson on cell phone. My experience was poor. First, the drivers education was rowdy and out of control, but they had a wonderful guest speaker come in and talk about the dangers of drunk driving. Their on road process is horrendous. they told me i needed 9 appointments, 6 2 hours of half driving half observing and 3 2 hours of just driving. The worst part about the on road process is the communication. They are terrible at letting you know when they are arriving or if they randomly canceled for some reason. The worst part about the communication is that if you forget your permit, for example, they overreact and bill you around $100. The driving instructors for on roads are also pretty bad in aggregate. There are some really nice ones who teach well and relate with kids, but some use the on road driving as a way to do errands. overall, if you're gonna go to Donohue's Driving School to support a local business or because its closer to home, enroll at your own risk. In terms of quality and a great course in learning how to drive, there are much better schools else where. Read Less

I had primarily gone through Christos Driving School in Marlborough to receiving my driving education and I was not thrilled about the experience. Christos simply seemed to care about payments rather than the student growing as an individual good driver. When I took the road test through Christos I failed and it seemed that all my friends and people I knew who had gone there had failed at least once. I was a bit traumatized and did not want to be behind the wheel however I reached out to Donahue's Driving School in Hudson and it's the best decision I have ever made. They took me in like family despite not being one of their students. I had a private lesson with Mark, one of the owners and a couple days later took my road test and passed! This school does not get enough recognition for how truly amazing it is. They care about you as an individual and helping you out rather than just getting your money and getting more clients. I reccomend this school to everyone looking for a GOOD driving school. I know Christos seems to be the best and they are seen quite a lot around the area and they do teach you the basics but they dont care about the individual. Donahues does. Do yourself a favor and go through them, I regret not doing so from the beginning for these people are truly amazing, they make you feel a part of the school and comfortable behind the wheel. I called these guys two days in advance my road test. They were ready to offer me lessons for $100/hour. I am going to take it anyway. Dont know if that is too much to pay for an hour at least they were nice and ready to talk. Read Less
