This company is very nice, they are very good about communicating and getting back with you as soon as possible. The teachers are very nice and patient and are very flexible if you need to reschedule a drive time or make up a class you miss. The classes they hold have changed buildings a couple times, but of the classes I took the building was always nice and clean and we were supplied pencils and whatever paperwork we needed. It seems like most of the bad reviews are talking about a driving test, but this company does not administer the driving test, they offer driving classes but not the test. So to anyone who reads the bad review that have to do with the driving test they are referring to the company called EZWay Testing. They are most likely not talking about Driver Education the EZ Way. This company and the examiner followed the guidelines set by the State of Michigan. You have to be on time, bring the right paperwork and prepare for the test by practicing what is in the study guide. The examiner did a good job explaining areas I could work on at the end of the test. Professional job. Read Less

If I had the choice I wouldn't even rate this place one star. Mike Dodge tested and failed my husband who is of Indian descent and has been in the US for 7 years. He speaks perfect English and has been driving since he was 14, he is now 26 years old. He's a very good driver in my eyes and in many other's, however I can understand if his driving wasn't up the State Standards. What I cannot understand, nor tolerate is that Mike was racist and disrespectful the entire drive. He was dramatic by putting his seat all the way back and repeatedly saying he feared for his life and he felt like he was in danger. (If my husband's driving was as bad as he was saying, I must ask, why wasn't the entire law enforcement squad tailing him and demanding he pull over at once?) Mike followed up with that my husband needs to learn how to drive in the United States. Blatantly RACIST. He slung a book at my husband and told him to read it and he left. It seems to me he has many strikes against him and still this company keeps him around. What is it, 6 points+ and you fail? By my count on here and Facebook, Mike has enough "points" to fail 4 times. I put one star cause i had to put something. I have been a professional truck driver for over twenty years. My son has taken his test for the second time and mike dodge is a total douch bag he needs to go back to to driving school or just retire. He yelled at my son and then he told me i didnt know auto laws cause truck laws are different i wouldnt take my my dog to him for training. Hes rude to the kids as if they aren't nervious enough. I would love to take a driving test with him one time cause i have experience and milage in reverse then he has going forward. Read Less

This was a horrible experience! For starters Its $50 for the fee then $34 if you have to reschedule, I had to reschedule due to a light being out in my van. Second time around i couldn't find the vehicle registration, me or my mom. So it seemed I was going to have to reschedule again until I asked if they had a car I could use. They did, for another $40. It was a crappy car. Then in the parking part of the exam, for parallel parking you only have 1 shot to pull forward and back into the space. in addition the man testing me claimed I had knocked over a cone when doing the back into parking space, I neither felt nor saw a cone that had fallen. Cue to the driving portion where he proceeded to tell me I wasn't stopping at the stop signs, I had very clearly verbalized that after my initial stop I was proceeding to pull forward so I could see the road. At one stop sign I was unable to stop at the sign because someone was parked right there. With a piece of equipment, in a residential area. Then on the expressway as I approached a light it turned yellow, literally as I was coming underneath it. I couldn't stop safely so I drove through, when the man testing me turns and goes "you just ran a yellow light, by the time we were through it that was red." In addition he kept pointing out things that were obvious. When we finished he proceeded to tell my mom I had failed because I ran 3 stops signs, I hadn't made it clear that I checked at intersections(you're supposed to turn your head, which I did each time) he claimed I only checked at 4 of the 17 intersections. There was also an incident with a semi trying to merge and another car not letting me get over. By the time he got done grilling me and left I started crying. Not going there again. Read Less

We tried to take our son there to get tested for his driver's license. We were told that they only do testing during the day on weekdays. No evening or weekend appointments. So, we had to take our son out of school early to get to the test. We were 5 minutes late and the tester refused to do the test and wouldn't even discuss it with us. He was very terse and rude. I understand we were late; but, the fact that he wouldn't even talk to us was very frustrating. Would not recommend for anyone. Read Less

Please read before even thank about testing with this company! Went to this company even after read the review and gave the the benefit they mite be good i was so wrong! I am 21 years old and I passed the parking test ! started to do my road test and the instituter wanted me to go over the posed speed limit because every one else was speeding! then when he wanted me to make a turn and if i would have turned when he wanted me to i would have side swiped a car in the next lane! Also after the test was done he fail to give me any paper work on why i fail! told me in am in inexperienced driver and that its not the end of the world! Thought that was not professional to say! Don't go with this company. They don't really care about your student.  I took my 19 year old niece there and she passed the first part (parking) with only 2 points off but when the guy instructor took her on the road test as she was getting ready to make a left turn at an intersection, someone honked at her. The instructor took her back to the parking lot and failed her because he said by state law he had to because that's considered "preventing an accident". This was less than 10 minutes into the road test. When she got back to the parking lot he explained it to her but I wasn't there. I was across the street getting a drink to pass the time. When I got back, he was already gone and when I asked her what happened she told me she didn't really understand why he failed her because there were no cars oncoming traffic and that she didn't even know what car honked. To her it didn't seem as if there was any reason for a car to even honk at her but she was crying and upset and so she didn't really take in what he told her the reason for failing was. Since he was gone and I couldn't ask him what happened I called EZ Way to request him to call us back and the secretary refused. She told me the instructor would have told her because she was over 18 and that he wouldn't call her back to re-explain. I told the secretary that she was upset and crying and didn't really take in what he said and could he please call her back to re-explain and she again told me NO. After speaking with several other people it is my impression that EZ Way fails many students that didn't take the classes with them. I also found out that I could have been in the car with her, even if she is over 18, that IS now allowed, and that his reason for failing her was very weak. I would not be posting this review if the instructor would have waited to talk to me and help explain what happened or the secretary had been courteous and offered us an explanation or a call back. It seems to me they didn't even care about the student or the people trying to help her. We didn't want to dispute the fail - only to find out the reason so she wouldn't repeat the mistake. Pretty sad that they don't really care enough to make a 10 minute phone call back to the client. Read Less
