Excellent experience and have used them for two kids, one in 2024 and the other in 2026. Both kids did the online classes.
If you are having issues getting behind the wheel sessions scheduled i.e. there are no time slots available on their scheduling calendar - they will work with you to get in the behind the wheels done to ensure your kid's sessions are done before their rest.
Owner and staff were very responsive and helfpuful. Highly reccomend.

We used DS Driving School West for all 3 of our kids. It was a great experience all the way around for us. They used helpful tips and memory devices, along with practical driving skills and advice, to position our kids for success during the test and in real life driving. Great value. Excellent driving practice and advice. A patient teacher and helpful online classes. Highly recommend.

UPDATE: The owner DJ reached out and we discussed my thoughts on the scheduling the behind the wheel. I appreciate his willingness to discuss and learn from our side of the service. We have scheduled all our behind the wheels by being on point on the 1st of every month at 8:00am. This is how they do it. If you are unable to be available at that time to schedule this may not be a good fit for your student. If you are present when the schedule opens there are many choices available.
Everything BUT the behind the wheel scheduling it great. Give yourself several months to complete the behind the wheel. They open up the scheduling one month in advance (so May 1st you are registering for June) on the first day of the month at 8:00am. Within 10 min 75% of the slots are full. Within the hour they are all full. The problem is if you missed the exact date and time you can’t get in the month except via waitlist now putting you two months back. If you need to cancel you lose you spot THEN need to wait for the first of the next month to register for the following month (that’s a possible 2 month delay again). Most other services can schedule you within a week or two and have flexibility. We have used other services with better success but tried DS as it was offered through school.

I was very nervous going to take my behind the wheels and the staff made me very very comfortable. I would recommend DJ as he gave me all the info I need to know for my test and when struggling to find a time for my last BTW he was able to get me in the next day and even help me schedule my driving test.

I thought that the teachers here were very nice, funny, and laid back! It was a great environment and I learned everything I needed to get my permit. :)

DS was awesome! definitely would recommend. the instructor was very funny and made the 30 hours fun and it seemed like time was flying by!

this drivers ed class is very good. the teacher made the class very fun, but also helped you get to know the information you need to know. 3 hours per day is a lot but DJ made it fly by, while entertaining you at the same time! would give it 6 stars if i could !!

This class was a lot of fun and I learned a lot. My friend took it through school and she didn’t know half of what I was taught in DS driving school west. DJ is a lot of fun and the best teacher ever.

DS west is so much better than the other drivers ed classes definitely recommend it for my friends. The instructor (DJ) and staff are really friendly

Excellent experience and have used them for two kids, one in 2024 and the other in 2026. Both kids did the online classes.
If you are having issues getting behind the wheel sessions scheduled i.e. there are no time slots available on their scheduling calendar - they will work with you to get in the behind the wheels done to ensure your kid's sessions are done before their rest.
