I have had 3 boys go through A+ for their classes and Behind the Wheel, 2 of them went well. 3rd child set up an appointment for 10/17/24 10:00 am home pickup. This was his 1st BTW, received a call late evening that the appointment was being canceled and needed to reschedule, so rescheduled for 10/21 immediately after school at 2:45 pm. I asked school to let him out 10 minutes early for this day to ensure he was out when they showed up and would not be late. I got a message from my son at 3:05 pm asking if they were at our home to pick him up as they never showed to the school, which they were not at our home. I called the number for A+ and someone called back within minutes, stating that they had sent both myself and my son's phone a text the morning of 10/21/2024, which they hadn't sent either of us a message to cancel. We even got the reminder message at 11:16 am 10/21/2024 confirming his appointment for the afternoon. He again tried to tell me they sent us message, I again advised neither got a message, why would my son be waiting outside the school for someone from A+ and miss his bus if we had been notified. Stated how pathetic it is that they had pulled this now 2 times and within just days of each other. Had to scurry to find someone to pick him up to get him home, since they failed on their end. This has really changed my view of A+ Driving School, as they are not reliable and left my child stranded at the school and then tried to continue to make false claims that they sent a text when they did not. Also a more effective way to ensure that the party gets the notice of cancelation it shouldn't just be a text, it should definitely be a phone call to speak to someone. Read Less

Surprised to see complaints about getting in, although that looks like it was during the throws of the pandemic. I was able to schedule easily and timely. Had friends that went with other schools and it took . months to schedule I was able to get in within a couple of weeks for each of my lessons. Could not recommend this company more. I drove with Dan Leach. It was my first behind the wheel and it was a great experience. Normally, I am really nervous on the road but with Dan I drove better and was more comfortable behind the wheel. Not only did this lesson make me more confident but I also learned a lot about driving and the rules of the road that I hadn’t known about before. Read Less

My daughter took classes at A Plus a few months before she turned 15. She read back through the notes she took during the class the night before taking her permit test and was able to pass it easily even though months had passed. Thank you A Plus for such great instruction! Read Less

Today is Wednesday 7/5/2017 and there are 8 children currently sitting in their class and the instructor has not shown up. The registration confirmation stated Class Dates and Time: 6/28-30, 7/5-7, 7/10-13 Class Time 9-12noon. I called the A+ office and the outgoing message states they are closed for the 4th of July Holiday. This is completely unacceptable. I will have my son finish out his driver's ed elsewhere if they don't remedy this in an acceptable manner. Read Less

My daughter passed road test at the first time at Eagan after behind the wheel lessons with Mr. Steve. We would like to thank you to Mr. Steve. He's really delighted instructor. His training methods in BTW lessons are practical and easily remembered. Also, schedule staffs in +A Plus Driving school are so helpful and flexible in rescheduling for students. By the way, if you want to have a road test at Eagan. Please note 02 easily failed points. One is the road that has no divided lane but it's exactly two-way road. So you need divide 02 lanes yourself. Pay attention when you turn left from one way street to (no lane) two way street. The next is parallel area. It seems so far than we practice. We have worked with A+ with our many foster children over the past 20 years. They are so understanding of these students' various needs and ability to pay that it has been a bright spot to work with a company that has a heart. They wait patiently for payment from the county although always will be seamless in helping these kids through the process. Thay have never turn away someone who can't pay in these circumstances. I set up the first driving lesson for my son so when the time came and the instructor called to let me know he would be 10 minutes late for the appointment I asked him if it would be OK for me to sit in and he told me that he would not allow it. As a parent I found that really strange. I told him that I would not say anything but sit back and just observe and he still would not let me so I canceled it. From what I read on the internet a lot of driving schools encourage parents to sit in and learn new found knowledge of the latest road skills, give insight into how they can help their child when driving, improve parental understanding of what their child is learning and increase awareness of parental responsibility and care on the road. Not to mention other more ominous reasons why I think a parent should be able to sit in with their daughter or son and instructor. Update: My son is going on his final BTW lesson even though I could not go with him the feedback from him suggests that the instructors are doing a good job and he is learning from them. I grade the in class instructions a B+ and the BTW a C. Overall it was a decent program for us. Read Less
