Beware!! They seem nice and cheap but get you for a ton of fees after all is said and done. There were fees that didn't even belong there. Read the contract VERY CAREFULLY! This is good if you just need to take the test but not to actually learn. The instructor will leave you for great lengths of time by yourself and say "just practice " but they haven't actually taught you to do it and keep in mind..they will keep you there for hours on end but you are paying per hour, which you will get billed for in the end. I called a few minutes ago. Their main number prompts you to call one of two cell phones. I called one and a man answered stating the school’s name. He asked me if I gave massages. Then, said I could practice at his house! I am incredibly embarrassed. I hope no women are greeted that way at this school. As a former educator I am embarrassed. I hope he was not an instructor. Went to this school and Gene and his staff are professional, Courteous, and care about the students training. I do not work there or had never met any of them till I started there. I will recommend this school to anyone that asks. These are 100% genuine people and you just don't see that anymore. Thank you for the way you treated me during my time there!! Read Less

You can read the comments on google regarding Gene and his school, or just call up and get the full experience for yourself. I called Gene's personal cell # after getting no answer at "the office" except a machine asking to call him directly.  So Gene answers the phone and, as I am introducing myself he blurts out "make it quick because I'm with a student".  I figure, hell he's a trucker so can't expect much in the way of graces, but no problem.  Then I ask if there is a better time to call back and ask about his program.  He says "no, let's do this.  What do you want to know?"   The rest of the conversation lasted 30 seconds and consisted of Gene telling me to "get my ass down there today (Tues) and I'd have a license by Monday", explaining how he's the cheapest school in town and that if I want any more information I need to show him the money, ($1000 deposit on a $1800 CDL course).  I did try to ask about other aspects of Gene's "Driving School", like whether he offers any help with job placement and he promptly informed me that he "doesn't care about any of that shit, and that if I want to know anything else I need to show up with some money".  Then when I reiterated that I was asking about whether he  helps his students connect with trucking companies, he proceeds to fire off with "let me guess, you don't have any money?"  And follows that up with "are you one of those gov'ment handout people?"  At that point, my redneck patience meter was maxed out, so I told him that if he couldn't answer simple questions about his school in a professional manner, perhaps he was unfit to train others to be professionals. Anyway, Gene is obviously running a license mill and could care less about training his students to be professional and courteous commercial drivers, as his personal example says it all. If your not willing and able to be subjected to a full on interrogation by Gene (owber/instructor). Do not pass go. Do not collect $200. Amongst an array of many other personal questions, Gene then probes me to find out if I had anything to do with a drug raid that happened down the street from where my parents live some years back. He goes further by asking questions about my parents and where they work as if THEY may have had some affiliation with the incident. I then ask the relevance of all these personal questions. He tells me that I don't need to worry why he's asking, I just need to answer or I can hit the door. WTF!? haha!!. Naturally, I leave. So....I'd like to drop this "thank you but no thank you" single golden star. STAY AWAY, you've been warned. Read Less
