In summary, avoid the instructor Jamil, or just choose another company. I will write the reasons below.
First, he had bad manners. I enrolled into the class cause I needed practice, so I made mistakes such as not pressing the pedals gently, surrendering a lot at the intersections, or missing looking at other cars, etc. Whenever I made mistakes as a student, he always showed negative attitudes and looked down on me. He kept repeating "you will fail" about 10 times in every lesson. He said, "you are supposed to do it by yourself without my help", or "I already told you several times before so I am telling you again". "You already failed it because of this". He acted like an evaluator not an instructor who is supposed to help me. He made me feel guilty with every mistake I made.
He was very sarcastic as well. Before I turned left, I looked at the back mirror without turning around my shoulder. He pointed out this, so I said "oh, yeah". But he replied, "No! you don't say yeah. You have to look back". I said "yeah" again, and he again said, "You do not say yeah. No yeah. You are not listening. You have to take action. The test already failed you for this." Another example. I wasn't good at parking, so I wanted to try it again. He said, "Well, you know everything so do whatever you wanna do since you won't listen to me anyways". He made me feel uncomfortable. He did not give me any single compliment at all for any of the improvements I made, but rather blamed me in every moment whenever he had a chance.
Also, he discouraged me from asking questions. If I asked questions, at least he answered my questions. However, he explained in a way that made me feel like a stupid driver. For example, I was driving at 30 MPH when the limits was 35 MPH, and I was wondering if they will take points off with 30 MPH. So I asked about this. However, he said "I already told you, you will fail unless you drive 32-35MPH. You are a student so you are driving slowly but they will fail you for this". I said "I can drive faster than this. I just wanted to know." Then he said, "No, from the time you asked me this question, you proved yourself that you felt uncomfortable to drive faster." And he started lecturing for 5 minutes about why he didn't want to bring me to a highway, etc. I was tired of this pointless lecturing, but I still listened cause I didn't want to argue with him. After 5 minutes of silent listening, I wanted to move on, so I finally just said one word, "OK." And, he replied "No, you are not listening".
Also, he blamed my poor driving skill on me, and made sure that it had nothing to do with him. he said that "I am good at teaching and I am a good instructor. You need minimum 30+ hours of practices or no matter how good I am, you will fail". It is ok to mention this once, but he kept repeating this lecture in every lesson about 3-5 times a day, and he specifically emphasized that he is a good instructor. I listened to this lecture silently for most of the time, but at one point, I wanted to stop the conversation after listening to this for a long time, so I just said one word, "OK". In reply, he said, "You are not listening", and started lecturing more as if I didn't listen to him. I felt that he wanted to make sure that it is all on me, not on him if I fail the test.
I am not mad at him because he told me that I am not a good driver. I also know that I need more practice too. The reason why I am upset is because of his poor manners. The experience with him was the worst and every lesson was a nightmare. I wanted to cancel the lesson because of the toxicity but I already paid for it, and that was why I attended all the lessons. After all the lessons, I talked to Kathy, the owner of this company, over a phone. She seemed considerate, and I had a feeling that she thought of me and she indeed felt sorry about the bad experience with him. Since the owner was professional, I am not sure how the experience will be with other instructors with Safeway Driving School. However, you better avoid Jamil.

I had to go back to driving school after more than 15 years of driving on the left side of the road. i was completely disoriented and nervous before the drive test. Safeway Driving school helped prepare for the drive test and calmed me down. I am grateful to my instructor Jamil Bey for his expert guidance. Having such a knowledgeable and calm instructor gave me the confidence i needed to pass the Driver Test. Highly recommend this driving school.

I recommend not using this company for your teens driving lessons. We have had more trouble with them. First, they cancelled on us 2 weeks in a row because they said one of their drivers had an emergency in California. So they rescheduled us and I reminded them that we requested a male instructor. They sent a female. Fine no biggie. My son had one 2 hour lesson on a Tuesday and I spoke with the instructor when she was getting ready to leave making sure she would be back the following day at our scheduled time at 3. Come Wednesday no instructor showed. I waited until 3:30 and called. I got some sort of story that the instructor was sick then the story changed that she was scheduled with another driver. I demanded a refund and will not be using this school for my son’s lessons ever again.

The teacher was not understanding, she was rude. I really want to learn how to drive but she is causing me to lose my desire to drive. Classes are not cheap so I think they should teach with more patience and dedication. I did not like my experience at this auto school. I believe when we are learning we are prone to make mistakes. This teacher definitely needs to learn that we are human.

The women who owns this school location is disrespectful to her students, not helpful, rude, horrible costumer service, and accused me and insulted me as a dumb young adult compared to her as a sophisticated 60 year old women. She cut me off in every sentence. I was shocked on how they do business here. You should STAY AWAY from this place and go to a different location. They do not show any genuine care. The thing is all I wanted was to see if they still had on file my certificate that I lost from 3 years ago.

The driver was 2 hours late the first session because of her error not his then the second session the driver was instructed to ask my son for $100 which is a surprise as we were advised BOTH sessions have already been paid for. She has zero customer service skills and blamed the customer for everything. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!

Safeway driving school and instructors are "very shocking" the instructor looks at his phone while you're behind the wheels. Why waste $100 to teach yourself driving? I dont think it's very "SAFE."

The staff is friendly and very helpful in adapting to my requests. I had my lessons with Sam Lloyd and he was very patient and straightforward, and I highly recommend taking lessons with him. After 5 lessons I was able to get a score of 93!

I would not have gotten my license if I did not take lesson from Safeway. My instructor was Danny. I took 4 two hour lessons. I took my test two days after my lesson and passed with a 98. Driving for the first time can be very scary. Danny made me as comfortable as I could possibly be. I would recommend Safeway to everyone I know trying to get a license. This school is the way to go.

Best decision to send my daughter to Safeway. She took the class and learned SO much and it really helped with her taking the learners permit. I also used Safeway to give my daughter driving lessons----- so worth it!! Jayne was her instructor and she was just plain amazing - as a matter of fact my daughter scored a 100% on her drivers test. Thank you Safeway for making such a stressful time less stressful. I always recommend Safeway to my friends for their kids!!!!!

I took a class as a refresher few days before my dreaded drive test and it increased my confidence level. My problem was that I knew the driving rules and technicalities but I just can't shake off the fear. Regretfully, I'm weird like that! My instructor, Miss Jayne, is awesome! I appreciate that she didn't just bombard me with skills or information but also tried to understand where my fear is coming from and helped address it. She's very meticulous but balances it with encouragement. I think that helped me pass my test.#

I've read the reviews and I have nothing to say but great things about SAFEWAY. The office staff is very friendly and they have knocked themselves out helping my son. The instructor was awesome and taught my son so many things that I had forgotten. I have tried 3 other schools and I was just not seeing any good results., few of my sons friends told us about this school. Talked with other parents from my sons school they swear SAFEWAY is the only school to use. DO NOT WAIST YOUR MONEY ON OTHER SCHOOLS. THEY ARE THE REAL DEAL.

I have always feared putting young teens behind the wheel of a car. When it came time for our family to need driving services we chose the classroom to help with the DMV written test and chose the driving school to come to our house. The written test took four try's after finishing the classroom as the DMV is constantly changing the questions on the written test.In 8 sessions of driving behind the wheel I have seen my daughters confidence increase and she is driving really well now.I am confident that she will pass her driving test with all the training they have provided her. The instructors we have had all are very nice and knowledgeable all of them are patient, professional and offer encouragement with suggestions to improve performance. I Highly suggest Safeway Driving School.

I did the 30 hour classes with Charles Sanders. He gave great tips and cleared up any confusion. The only annoying thing about the class was the front office lady who would talk extremely loud and smoked cigarettes all the time. I then did a 2 hour behind the wheel with Jayne and she also gave great tips and made me feel extremely comfortable behind the wheel. I passed my drivers test the first try. I would defiantly recommend.

Mr. Sam Lloyd is awesome instructor!Never late, always very friendly, polite and extremely patient. My daughter got confidence and she passed the test at the first attempt. I scheduled three 2-hours lessons and the the 4th lesson the same day with the DMV test. That gave us even more confidence and everything went perfect at the actual test. I'm recommending this school for a teenager and Mr. Lloyd is fully capable to help you to succeed at the test and get an excellent driving skills.Good luck.

I said, that's great, but my question was, "Do you have instructors that specialize in Autism?" She said, no. I asked how they go about teaching someone with special needs if they do not have any extra training. She said, "I don't really know how the program works." I asked to speak to a manager and she said, "I am the manager." I said, "You are the manager, but you do not know how your driving program works?" She said, "Let me put you on hold and ask the owner." After a few minutes, she came back and said, "I told the owner about your complaint about me and he said to tell you to go somewhere else." I said, "Ummm...I didn't complain about you, I just want to understand how your school works." She said, "Just a minute hon..." I interupted her and asked her to please not call me "Hon" as it's not professional and I just want information on the services offered. At that point, SHE HUNG UP ON ME!!! Reporting this place to the DMV, ADA and any other place I can think of!!!

She said NO because he had left, it'd be the best way to be that way, etc. Then I asked if I could schedule to use their car for the actual driving test and she said NO - I had to go through the classes again and pass the pre-test. Fine. Then when can I schedule the pre-test AND the actual test day to use the car? She said she couldn't let me use the car (and schedule the date) until I pass the pre-test. Fine. What if I could pass the pre-test, can I use the car on the scheduled driving test or should I reschedule it with DMV? She said NO - I shouldn't reschedule until she can schedule a car for me. I asked how about this particular time & date to do the pre-test and use the car for the exam? She Said NO there is no car available on my exam date. Crap. What kind of conversation is that? I said that, in this case, should I speak to other driving schools because your cars are unavailable on my driving test date? Then she hang up my phone.

We went through the basics for a couple of minutes and then went to the main roads immediately after. You'd think it's scary but Terry did an excellent job in assuring me I was doing fine and had nothing to be nervous about.

I paid for my granddaughter to go here for lessons. Because she had a tight school and work schedule, everything was planned and paid for, in advance, for her lessons. There were days when they were late, calls to reschedule, and even an argument regarding the prepayment. Had to take pictures of the credit card invoice to prove to them. All that is bad enough, but the worse was when a teacher, named Jane, took my granddaughter out for a lesson, and she ran her errands. She told my granddaughter that she needed a break and had her park the car, while she went in to McDonalds to get something to eat, and then had her drive to Smiths, and she went in to do some grocery shopping. This was all on her driving time. The only good teacher she had was Beau. He actually taught her something. I do not recommend this school to anyone!

We have used Safeway Driving School for all three of our children. Every person we dealt with from Kathy the owner to Sam the driving instructor have been wonderful to work with. All three of our children are excellent drivers. We attribute this to the classroom training and the training behind the wheel they received. Sam was always on time and gave us feedback after every lesson. We highly recommend Safeway Driving School.

I enrolled for 10 hr driving lessons. I had very little behind the experience. I was lucky to have Mr. Sam Llyod who is the best driving instructor in Vegas. He taught my all the tricks and tips to pass the test. A knowledgeble and very patient teacher.We drove around flamingo,downtown and freeways. Did parallel parking practice for a day. I practiced my own for 2 weeks and passed today.Strongly recommended.

Great instructor. If you have teenagers getting ready to drive Safeway is the ONLY call you need to make. You can trust them with your teenager to teach them the correct way to drive. Originally had a driving lesson on Wednesday with Tammy at 9 am, 30 mins passed and no one showed up. Called the school to let them know and they said they switched my lesson to another time without informing me. The person who I spoke to said they had called but never left a voicemail to let me know about the change...she said that doesn't make "sense" confused as to what? I then had my lesson rescheduled with someone different the same day. My instructor was Bruce and he was great I felt really comfortable driving with him and gave great tips. I'm giving one star though because they need to get their stuff together...if you call someone you need to leave a message so they know about "rescheduling" very unprofessional

It is definitely a driving school for freaky teenagers which teaches introductory learning by an incompetent teacher. Finally I managed to complete the class because it is easy to pass a test for an adult yet it is difficult for those who are naive and have no driving skills whatsoever. If you're an adult who already has the skills of driving in the past like mine, you don't have to learn from the lectures, you can just take the "behind the wheel" training instead. I recommend it for teens to learn the 30-hour classes while as an adult, I don't have to take all 30 hours to finish it. Thank god I have to get out this useless "30-hour" class. It is just funny that teenagers are clueless about ethanol.

Safeway Driving School is a great school for behind the wheel driving. Their cars are good and safe. Their instructor, Dennis, is wonderful and patient. Their management, Kathy, was very easy to talk with, nice, personable and knowledgeable. We were very comfortable having our 18 year old take his first lessons here. He lives in Vegas, and we live in San Diego. Kathy worked with us to arrange payment from San Diego. We appreciate that they picked up and dropped off on days of lesson, and that they offer the use of their school's car for the actual behind the wheel test at the DMV. I would definitely recommend this business.

My son-17 with Asperger's Syndrome-just passed his driving test first go around with a 90! Totally because of Safeway Driving School. This business is professional and caring--and they deliver more than they promise. Every appointment was coordinated and on-time; every lesson came with suggestions and positive input for things we could do to assist our son. Every instructor we had worked well with our son, and because of them and their caring instruction, he has gained a critical step towards self independence. I will continue to recommend this driving school to all of my friends with teens - disability or not. We will be back in a few years with our younger son. Thank you Kathy, Sam, Dennis, Joe, Tami and Ti for supporting our son! And thanks for being one of those rare gems in Las Vegas: a local business that truly cares about their community.

Not sure why so many of the comments are negative. I used the school three times—8 hour lessons, 10 hour lesson, and road test. Kathy is very nice and flexible with scheduling lessons. Sam was an excellent teacher. He was very patient and actively worked with me to improve the areas I was struggling with (mainly turning). He brought his own small pillow for me to sit on in order to improve my visibility, and we spent a whole day working on turns. The school adequately prepared me to pass the road test. I earned a perfect score on the parallel parking.

I just LOVE this school. They are great and I could not say enough about them. The office staff is very professional with EVERTHING. Never nasty. The kindness you can not find with any onther driving school, believe me I have used many of them and they DO NOT hold a candle next to Safeway. I have used them with my two son's who were scared to death to drive, the teachers at Safeway made my boys feel very relaxed. Bothe my son's are accident and ticket free. My daughter is now talking lessons with Safeway and she is really loving the teacher. Clean car's, smoke free. I dont know what I what have done without this school. Believe me this school is good.. WE LOVE YOU SAFEWAY

In summary, avoid the instructor Jamil, or just choose another company. I will write the reasons below.
First, he had bad manners. I enrolled into the class cause I needed practice, so I made mistakes such as not pressing the pedals gently, surrendering a lot at the intersections, or missing looking at other cars, etc. Whenever I made mistakes as a student, he always showed negative attitudes and looked down on me. He kept repeating "you will fail" about 10 times in every lesson. He said, "you are supposed to do it by yourself without my help", or "I already told you several times before so I am telling you again". "You already failed it because of this". He acted like an evaluator not an instructor who is supposed to help me. He made me feel guilty with every mistake I made.
He was very sarcastic as well. Before I turned left, I looked at the back mirror without turning around my shoulder. He pointed out this, so I said "oh, yeah". But he replied, "No! you don't say yeah. You have to look back". I said "yeah" again, and he again said, "You do not say yeah. No yeah. You are not listening. You have to take action. The test already failed you for this." Another example. I wasn't good at parking, so I wanted to try it again. He said, "Well, you know everything so do whatever you wanna do since you won't listen to me anyways". He made me feel uncomfortable. He did not give me any single compliment at all for any of the improvements I made, but rather blamed me in every moment whenever he had a chance.
Also, he discouraged me from asking questions. If I asked questions, at least he answered my questions. However, he explained in a way that made me feel like a stupid driver. For example, I was driving at 30 MPH when the limits was 35 MPH, and I was wondering if they will take points off with 30 MPH. So I asked about this. However, he said "I already told you, you will fail unless you drive 32-35MPH. You are a student so you are driving slowly but they will fail you for this". I said "I can drive faster than this. I just wanted to know." Then he said, "No, from the time you asked me this question, you proved yourself that you felt uncomfortable to drive faster." And he started lecturing for 5 minutes about why he didn't want to bring me to a highway, etc. I was tired of this pointless lecturing, but I still listened cause I didn't want to argue with him. After 5 minutes of silent listening, I wanted to move on, so I finally just said one word, "OK." And, he replied "No, you are not listening".
Also, he blamed my poor driving skill on me, and made sure that it had nothing to do with him. he said that "I am good at teaching and I am a good instructor. You need minimum 30+ hours of practices or no matter how good I am, you will fail". It is ok to mention this once, but he kept repeating this lecture in every lesson about 3-5 times a day, and he specifically emphasized that he is a good instructor. I listened to this lecture silently for most of the time, but at one point, I wanted to stop the conversation after listening to this for a long time, so I just said one word, "OK". In reply, he said, "You are not listening", and started lecturing more as if I didn't listen to him. I felt that he wanted to make sure that it is all on me, not on him if I fail the test.
I am not mad at him because he told me that I am not a good driver. I also know that I need more practice too. The reason why I am upset is because of his poor manners. The experience with him was the worst and every lesson was a nightmare. I wanted to cancel the lesson because of the toxicity but I already paid for it, and that was why I attended all the lessons. After all the lessons, I talked to Kathy, the owner of this company, over a phone. She seemed considerate, and I had a feeling that she thought of me and she indeed felt sorry about the bad experience with him. Since the owner was professional, I am not sure how the experience will be with other instructors with Safeway Driving School. However, you better avoid Jamil.

I had to go back to driving school after more than 15 years of driving on the left side of the road. i was completely disoriented and nervous before the drive test. Safeway Driving school helped prepare for the drive test and calmed me down. I am grateful to my instructor Jamil Bey for his expert guidance. Having such a knowledgeable and calm instructor gave me the confidence i needed to pass the Driver Test. Highly recommend this driving school.

I recommend not using this company for your teens driving lessons. We have had more trouble with them. First, they cancelled on us 2 weeks in a row because they said one of their drivers had an emergency in California. So they rescheduled us and I reminded them that we requested a male instructor. They sent a female. Fine no biggie. My son had one 2 hour lesson on a Tuesday and I spoke with the instructor when she was getting ready to leave making sure she would be back the following day at our scheduled time at 3. Come Wednesday no instructor showed. I waited until 3:30 and called. I got some sort of story that the instructor was sick then the story changed that she was scheduled with another driver. I demanded a refund and will not be using this school for my son’s lessons ever again.

Classes are not cheap so I think they should teach with more patience and dedication. I did not like my experience at this auto school. I believe when we are learning we are prone to make mistakes. This teacher definitely needs to learn that we are human.

The women who owns this school location is disrespectful to her students, not helpful, rude, horrible costumer service, and accused me and insulted me as a dumb young adult compared to her as a sophisticated 60 year old women. She cut me off in every sentence. I was shocked on how they do business here. You should STAY AWAY from this place and go to a different location. They do not show any genuine care. The thing is all I wanted was to see if they still had on file my certificate that I lost from 3 years ago.

Safeway driving school and instructors are "very shocking" the instructor looks at his phone while you're behind the wheels. Why waste $100 to teach yourself driving? I dont think it's very "SAFE."

Driving for the first time can be very scary. Danny made me as comfortable as I could possibly be. I would recommend Safeway to everyone I know trying to get a license. This school is the way to go.

I took a class as a refresher few days before my dreaded drive test and it increased my confidence level. My problem was that I knew the driving rules and technicalities but I just can't shake off the fear. Regretfully, I'm weird like that! My instructor, Miss Jayne, is awesome! I appreciate that she didn't just bombard me with skills or information but also tried to understand where my fear is coming from and helped address it. She's very meticulous but balances it with encouragement. I think that helped me pass my test.#

I've read the reviews and I have nothing to say but great things about SAFEWAY. The office staff is very friendly and they have knocked themselves out helping my son. The instructor was awesome and taught my son so many things that I had forgotten. I have tried 3 other schools and I was just not seeing any good results., few of my sons friends told us about this school. Talked with other parents from my sons school they swear SAFEWAY is the only school to use. DO NOT WAIST YOUR MONEY ON OTHER SCHOOLS. THEY ARE THE REAL DEAL.

I have always feared putting young teens behind the wheel of a car. When it came time for our family to need driving services we chose the classroom to help with the DMV written test and chose the driving school to come to our house. The written test took four try's after finishing the classroom as the DMV is constantly changing the questions on the written test.In 8 sessions of driving behind the wheel I have seen my daughters confidence increase and she is driving really well now.I am confident that she will pass her driving test with all the training they have provided her. The instructors we have had all are very nice and knowledgeable all of them are patient, professional and offer encouragement with suggestions to improve performance. I Highly suggest Safeway Driving School.

The only annoying thing about the class was the front office lady who would talk extremely loud and smoked cigarettes all the time. I then did a 2 hour behind the wheel with Jayne and she also gave great tips and made me feel extremely comfortable behind the wheel. I passed my drivers test the first try. Mr. Sam Lloyd is awesome instructor!Never late, always very friendly, polite and extremely patient. My daughter got confidence and she passed the test at the first attempt. I scheduled three 2-hours lessons and the the 4th lesson the same day with the DMV test. That gave us even more confidence and everything went perfect at the actual test. I'm recommending this school for a teenager and Mr. Lloyd is fully capable to help you to succeed at the test and get an excellent driving skills.Good luck.

I said, that's great, but my question was, "Do you have instructors that specialize in Autism?" She said, no. I asked how they go about teaching someone with special needs if they do not have any extra training. She said, "I don't really know how the program works." I asked to speak to a manager and she said, "I am the manager." I said, "You are the manager, but you do not know how your driving program works?" She said, "Let me put you on hold and ask the owner." After a few minutes, she came back and said, "I told the owner about your complaint about me and he said to tell you to go somewhere else." I said, "Ummm...I didn't complain about you, I just want to understand how your school works." She said, "Just a minute hon..." I interupted her and asked her to please not call me "Hon" as it's not professional and I just want information on the services offered. At that point, SHE HUNG UP ON ME!!! Reporting this place to the DMV, ADA and any other place I can think of!!!

She said NO because he had left, it'd be the best way to be that way, etc. Then I asked if I could schedule to use their car for the actual driving test and she said NO - I had to go through the classes again and pass the pre-test. Fine. Then when can I schedule the pre-test AND the actual test day to use the car? She said she couldn't let me use the car (and schedule the date) until I pass the pre-test. Fine. What if I could pass the pre-test, can I use the car on the scheduled driving test or should I reschedule it with DMV? She said NO - I shouldn't reschedule until she can schedule a car for me. I asked how about this particular time & date to do the pre-test and use the car for the exam? She Said NO there is no car available on my exam date. Crap. What kind of conversation is that? I said that, in this case, should I speak to other driving schools because your cars are unavailable on my driving test date? Then she hang up my phone.

We went through the basics for a couple of minutes and then went to the main roads immediately after. You'd think it's scary but Terry did an excellent job in assuring me I was doing fine and had nothing to be nervous about.

I paid for my granddaughter to go here for lessons. Because she had a tight school and work schedule, everything was planned and paid for, in advance, for her lessons. There were days when they were late, calls to reschedule, and even an argument regarding the prepayment. Had to take pictures of the credit card invoice to prove to them. All that is bad enough, but the worse was when a teacher, named Jane, took my granddaughter out for a lesson, and she ran her errands. She told my granddaughter that she needed a break and had her park the car, while she went in to McDonalds to get something to eat, and then had her drive to Smiths, and she went in to do some grocery shopping. This was all on her driving time. The only good teacher she had was Beau. He actually taught her something. I do not recommend this school to anyone!

We have used Safeway Driving School for all three of our children. Every person we dealt with from Kathy the owner to Sam the driving instructor have been wonderful to work with. All three of our children are excellent drivers. We attribute this to the classroom training and the training behind the wheel they received. Sam was always on time and gave us feedback after every lesson. We highly recommend Safeway Driving School.

I enrolled for 10 hr driving lessons. I had very little behind the experience. I was lucky to have Mr. Sam Llyod who is the best driving instructor in Vegas. He taught my all the tricks and tips to pass the test. A knowledgeble and very patient teacher.We drove around flamingo,downtown and freeways. Did parallel parking practice for a day. I practiced my own for 2 weeks and passed today.Strongly recommended.

Great instructor. If you have teenagers getting ready to drive Safeway is the ONLY call you need to make. You can trust them with your teenager to teach them the correct way to drive. Originally had a driving lesson on Wednesday with Tammy at 9 am, 30 mins passed and no one showed up. Called the school to let them know and they said they switched my lesson to another time without informing me. The person who I spoke to said they had called but never left a voicemail to let me know about the change...she said that doesn't make "sense" confused as to what? I then had my lesson rescheduled with someone different the same day. My instructor was Bruce and he was great I felt really comfortable driving with him and gave great tips. I'm giving one star though because they need to get their stuff together...if you call someone you need to leave a message so they know about "rescheduling" very unprofessional

It is definitely a driving school for freaky teenagers which teaches introductory learning by an incompetent teacher. Finally I managed to complete the class because it is easy to pass a test for an adult yet it is difficult for those who are naive and have no driving skills whatsoever. If you're an adult who already has the skills of driving in the past like mine, you don't have to learn from the lectures, you can just take the "behind the wheel" training instead. I recommend it for teens to learn the 30-hour classes while as an adult, I don't have to take all 30 hours to finish it. Thank god I have to get out this useless "30-hour" class. It is just funny that teenagers are clueless about ethanol.

Safeway Driving School is a great school for behind the wheel driving. Their cars are good and safe. Their instructor, Dennis, is wonderful and patient. Their management, Kathy, was very easy to talk with, nice, personable and knowledgeable. We were very comfortable having our 18 year old take his first lessons here. He lives in Vegas, and we live in San Diego. Kathy worked with us to arrange payment from San Diego. We appreciate that they picked up and dropped off on days of lesson, and that they offer the use of their school's car for the actual behind the wheel test at the DMV. I would definitely recommend this business.

My son-17 with Asperger's Syndrome-just passed his driving test first go around with a 90! Totally because of Safeway Driving School. This business is professional and caring--and they deliver more than they promise. Every appointment was coordinated and on-time; every lesson came with suggestions and positive input for things we could do to assist our son. Every instructor we had worked well with our son, and because of them and their caring instruction, he has gained a critical step towards self independence. I will continue to recommend this driving school to all of my friends with teens - disability or not. We will be back in a few years with our younger son. Thank you Kathy, Sam, Dennis, Joe, Tami and Ti for supporting our son! And thanks for being one of those rare gems in Las Vegas: a local business that truly cares about their community.

Not sure why so many of the comments are negative. I used the school three times—8 hour lessons, 10 hour lesson, and road test. Kathy is very nice and flexible with scheduling lessons. Sam was an excellent teacher. He was very patient and actively worked with me to improve the areas I was struggling with (mainly turning). He brought his own small pillow for me to sit on in order to improve my visibility, and we spent a whole day working on turns. The school adequately prepared me to pass the road test. I earned a perfect score on the parallel parking.

The kindness you can not find with any onther driving school, believe me I have used many of them and they DO NOT hold a candle next to Safeway. I have used them with my two son's who were scared to death to drive, the teachers at Safeway made my boys feel very relaxed. Bothe my son's are accident and ticket free. My daughter is now talking lessons with Safeway and she is really loving the teacher. Clean car's, smoke free. I dont know what I what have done without this school. Believe me this school is good.. WE LOVE YOU SAFEWAY
